  1. Huh, never seen a ride with a sign at the exit and entrance before. I could see that confusing a lot of guests. Cool sign though and it's nice to see how bright it is since that area was kinda dull before.
  2. ^ X Flight is still one train. It appears there may be some problem with the front car as they've finished every other car but the front car is still just a frame and doesn't appear to have been touched in a few days now. The ride was also closed Sunday and Monday, so it might be having some other problems as well.
  3. Yolo is, for whatever reason, still alive in the theme park world. It seems many Six Flags parks have yolo glasses, and Cedar Fair parks have yolo shirts. Not really sure why each chain thinks people still say it seriously. I get that they're trying to keep up with current trends and cater to them but it really only takes a Google search (and a tiny bit of common sense) to realize that most people think yolo is just plain dumb.
  4. I'm really looking forward to this. Since the show description says that it goes into the technology behind the rides, it sounds like it might be a bit "smarter" than other coaster shows. But even if it's not, it's great to see the Travel Channel branching off of ICW with other ride related shows. By the way, does anyone know when the next Insane Coaster Wars season begins?
  5. The IgNite stage is coming along. The show begins June 1st and runs until mid-August. From Twitter Hometown Fun Machine and Orbit have opened for the season and East River Crawler now has all it's arms back on.
  6. ^ SFSTL has a whole doesn't really follow their "themed" areas. Scooby Doo is in the DC area, and there are more DC themed rides outside of the DC area than there are in it.
  7. I don't know the exact reason but in the interview posted a page back the park owner said that an inverting wooden coaster as an idea they've had since the mid 90s and even talked to CCI about but there were never wooden coaster trains capable of inverting until now.
  8. ^^ The park is hosting an event on July 6th and said that Batman will be backwards for it. Haven't heard anything past that date yet.
  9. Great pictures Jeremie! Looks like a great event, still sad I couldn't make it. I love how they're adding new effects to the ride as well, I hope those stay once the ride runs forward again. I really gotta get down again soon for some more rides on it, hopefully the second train gets put on soon!
  10. ^ I've had the same problem a few times before. Usually it could be fixed by just closing the app completely but there was one time when I couldn't get it back and had to restart. I hope you can get it back though because EA is absolutely no help in this situation.
  11. Wow, can't wait to see what great Herschend quality theming they bring to "Midway" and "Fun Zone."
  12. The track for Hades 360 was finished today. Assuming they have the trains already or will get them very soon they should hopefully be able to make the memorial day opening.
  13. Great pictures and report! It was nice meeting you and it was a good day despite the park not being totally ready. I guess only having one train on X Flight was a blessing in disguise in a way though as it gave Jeremie and I plenty of time to snag those exit passes for you!
  14. Looks like Batman has been given some extra effects to go along with it's reversal.
  15. ^ Simply put, they weren't ready. Limited capacity on most rides plus the crowds that $20 tickets and good weather brings are not a good mix. Orbit, ERC and HTFM were still in pieces, AE blue was closed, and only AE Red, Demon, Viper and Bull had two trains. And then on top of all this you have new employees who are still getting used to the job. It was still an enjoyable day, but they've still got a ways to go to be ready for summer.
  16. ^ Um, what? She's a PR person who's speaking on behalf of the park. She came across just fine. Love the sign and the touches in the station. It's great to see more parks taking their time to add details all around the ride.
  17. No closing day has been posted, but we do know it will run backwards until at least July 6th.
  18. ^ I disagree with you on the new management. The new corporate team seems to be giving the parks much more control over what they get. Under the Shapiro regime, parks were told what they were getting and then they had to decide how to market it. Under Jim Reid-Anderson, parks are working with corporate to plan out their additions. This is all coming from a Season Pass Podcast when they interviewed a higher up at Discovery Kingdom. As for the carousel, here's a quote from a Negative G trip report from last year. You can't put the full blame on corporate when park management themselves have this kind of attitude. When a park president really cares about their park and fights for it, it shows. This kind of attitude doesn't do the park or it's rides any good. Not saying that Six Flags corporate is the best it could be, but I don't think the "problems" of Six Flags St. Louis can be fully blamed on them.
  19. ^^ I'm really far behind, so any eggs that you or anyone else could drop off would be very much appreciated at this point! And I have lots of eggs to return the favor with.
  20. ^ River King Mine Train and Pandemonium are definitely not kiddie coasters, they are family coasters. Even though Holiday World which is more of a family park only has one kiddie coaster, it has a 36 inch height restriction where as RKMT and Pandemonium both have a 42 inch height restriction. So while SFSTl does have good family coasters, they are still missing a kiddie coaster.
  21. Here a few pictures of the boneyard field. Cool of the park to give them some stuff to use.
  22. I can do a big trade with you, got a lot to get rid of.
  23. Nice to see Cedar Fair adding tvs to queue lines. The barren queue lines at Cedar Point made me appreciate Six Flags TV. Even if the content isn't great, tvs at least give you something to look at and help pass the time.
