The worst part of it all is that the park easily has more than enough money to make Hades awesome, but they'd rather spend it all on hotels and night clubs. I'm really hoping that all these terrible reviews will get the park to sit down, figure out what to do with it, and invest some serious cash in it. Maybe if they had some competition they'd step it up, because their clearly taking they're position as WI's only "theme park" as an excuse to do the bare minimum.

^ There are quite a few Wolfcastle quests without having the film set. I don't have it and I've been working on his quests for about a week now. You might just not have the right characters free to start his quests, or it could be a glitch.

Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

2012 wasn't that long ago. Banshee looks great though. I love the theme of the ride and the layout is great too. I just hope the restraints don't have the same problems that the wing rider restraints have since they look pretty similar. -
^ There are Ragin Cajun and American Eagle cars in maintenance all year long. RC has 9 cars but can only run 5, so there's five on the track, one extra at the ride and then three in maintenance that get their rehab during summer. American Eagle opened with 3 trains per side but now only runs two per side, so they have extra cars in maintenance that can also get rehabbed during summer.

SFGAms water park is free too, but I agree that SFSTl does have a cozier feeling. It's still obvious that it's a corporate park, but it's not thrown in your face every five seconds like at some of the other parks in the chain. I would like to see SF step up their investment in the park as some areas did seem a bit worn down, but hopefully that doesn't come at the expense of Takis ads and Smurfs commercials.

PTR: Jersey Shore/Whore Update

^ Similar ride, but not the one at that park. http://www.technicalpark.com/heavy_rotation.htm -
^ Yes, but I think that has more to do with the parks marketing team than the addition itself. Remember all the teaser videos last year for IgNight? Whether the addition is major or not they do a lot of teasing and promoting and I don't understand why the other SF parks haven't started doing the same.

^ They should still be smart enough to know that when you live by a theme park you're not always going to have total peace and quiet. Besides, American Eagle was an early ride and that's one of the loudest rides in the park, it's not like the big coasters just popped up overnight. At the end of the day the people just need to get over it because clearly keeping the park happy is more important to the town than pleasing a few pissed off residents.
-
^ Basically they just go to the Gurnee board and say what they want to build if it's over 125 feet tall. Residents then use it as a chance to complain but thankfully the city always sides with the park. Here's a video of the Chang meeting if you want a better idea of what it's like. The downside of these meetings is that they are open to the public, so the park can't keep new additions a secret.

Please no. Why? Are you too fat to fit into an RMC coaster safely? I don't want RMC coming anywhere near Viper or Eagle. If Parallax meant an original RMC coaster, that I'd be more than fine with. The last update I've seen on it was from two days ago, where they had brought the forklift back on site and there was a box of parts. So there is work, it's just moving slowly. It's possible they might have had to get a part made since it's been down for quite some time now.

Texas/Midwest 2013 Tour Mini-Updates!

Ugh, looking at those pictures makes me wish I would've stopped at the state fair park when I was in Dallas. I skipped it because most of the rides come to the WI State Fair, but it looks like the park in general is pretty cool and would've been a nice place to spend a few hours in the afternoon. Too bad to hear SFOT was a bust. I had a lot of the same problems with rides closing early and restaurants closing early but I hoped that was more due to the rain and lack of crowds and wasn't the norm for the park. Hopefully the other Six Flags parks on the trips treat you better. -
^ My first ride was in the middle and I came off thinking it was overrated. It almost seemed too fast as the forces just threw my head around and the rides elements went by so fast that I had no time to take it in. It was discombobulating, but not in the good way. For my second row I sat in what was the front row (last to leave the station) and it was a much better ride with none of the problems I had before. So for future rides I would stick to that row. The only other shuttles I've been on are inverted impulses and those are a very different ride experience, but I'd probably rate them in the same rank of coasters as Mr. Freeze. The ride doesn't really have airtime. I got a little bit of that floaty feeling on the spike but never came off the seat.
