  1. That's awesome Shane. I hope this is a huge succes for you.
  2. I thought "weasel" was a bad word choice too. I kind of figured it was meant as a compliment after checking out your other posts. Lets hope this thing stays on schedule because I will be there in June to ride it!
  3. I'm pretty sure it means the bondholders are screwed.
  4. How cool, Larry with sleaves!
  5. There is pictures with the captions? I'm going to have to go back and look at this report again. Good job as always Chuck.
  6. What I can't figure out is why a team didn't just roll the cheese down the hill. Just launch 4 rolls and pick them up at the bottom. It didn't seem like there was any penalty if you didn't carry it down. It seems like some teams got screwed because they tried to do the challenge as intended.
  7. Wow, looks like someone is pretty paranoid. I like how she sites that the are still upset over what happened in WWII. Wait, the Chinese were on our side!
  8. I hope it is a McDonalds in my area getting the coaster!
  9. If all they want is $15,000, this thing will be settled out of court. I'm kind of surprised a lawsuit was even filed. Usually you negotiate first and if you can't come to an agreement, then you sue. Disney has to know that fighting any lawsuit will cost more then $15,000. This doesn't seem like it is happening in the right order or there is more to it then the money.
  10. This article mentions a second buyer might be interested. http://www.wistv.com/global/story.asp?s=9823613&ClientType=Printable I wonder why SFI or CF don't put in a bid too. It seems like it wood be a cheap way to get rides for their other parks.
  11. Your not getting a lot of responses because your request is pretty general. You would be better off doing a little research yourself then asking specific questions. What else do you want to do in Tokyo? What time of year you plan on going? etc. What I would do is first is read the guide Robb & Elissa did from when they went in 05. Then I would decide what time of year I would be going. Then go to a site like Travelocity.com and plug in the dates. That will give you a general idea of what airfare and hotels will cost. Go to the Disney site to find out ticket prices. From there you can now set a budget and start asking more specific questions. Why not take a TPR trip? They have been to Tokyo the last 2 years and will probably go back in a year or two. Hope that helps a little.
  12. Typical PETA response. If you can't argue the point, start name calling. They only want to believe the facts that support their point and forget the ones that don't. The group is a bunch of hypocrites. Sure animals should be treated humanly but they are just animals. Please pass the A-1, my steak is a little dry.
  13. I don't think there is anything natural left in Jeff!
  14. Always sad to see a park close but this wasn't a park I would want to revisit. I really liked Orochi, easily the best ride in the park. On the other end of the scale was Fujin Raijin II. That was one of the few coasters that I would never ride twice. It was the most brutal coaster I have been on. The rest of the coasters were just meh. I have a hard time even remembering what they were. The only one that stands out besides the two I mentioned was the kiddie coaster. That was because it was embarrassing watching the poor Japanese girl trying to get the lap bar closed on an Acer while all these little kids waited in line looking on.
  15. Your explanation is not very clear. Assets are goods that are worth money is a down and dirty definition. The question remains, What did they own? A lot of the rides could be leased or ownership never transferred due to non-payment. Same for the land the park sits on. We will just have to wait for further details. In the end it is good news if they can pull this off. Bob "I'm an accountant" Hoffman
  16. Interesting, the article says it's an Asset Purchase Agreement. That usually means that they are purchasing assets only and not the debt. The question now becomes, What did HRP actually own?
  17. Wow, my first house was cheaper then those last three. How many gallons to the mile do these things get?
  18. I disagree. As someone who owns a business and does interviewing, I say give them a call. Show them you are interested in the job. If they haven't made up their mind yet, your enthusiasm might tip it in your favor. If they have already hired someone else, you can ask them why you didn't get the job to better prepare yourself the next time. The one or two days does not include weekends.
  19. There was only one coaster, Spin Bullet. It is an indoor coaster and there is no place to get a good shot of it. I can't believe in 3 trips to Tokyo I have yet to go to Muscle Park. Is the 4th time a charm?
  20. My thoughts on PETA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0exLa6saV9o
  21. Clockwise would be towards Deja vu if it is open.
  22. ^ ^^Glad to see your posting has improved. Good job! The park was not crowded last year. Besides with morning ERT knocking off X2, Tatsu, Viper and Revolution, you already have multiple rides on those before the public even gets in. Once they do they will head to X2 and Tatsu. You on the other hand will head to the back of the park in a clock wise fashion ahead of any crowd. Should be able to finish off the rest of the park in a couple of hours. And after that there is still night time ERT.
  23. I'm with Elissa, I would love to go to a dinner service. Doesn't it make you wonder about some of the people on the show. Do they really think by smoking and cussing all the time they will really be selected to be an excecutive chef earning hundreds of thousands of dollars. I think not. I'll bet they already know which 1 or 2 people they want and the show is nothing more then a long interview process to be sure they are right. I like this season how he is really ripping into the woman who runs a culinary school.
  24. We just started testing it yesterday. Some park events are requiring you to be a member of a coaster club or group and this should satisfy it. Think Solace and Holiwood Nights! Best part about getting a card from TPR, it's FREE!
