  1. Nice pictures. I'm really bummed that the People Mover and Space Mountain will be down when I'm there in June.
  2. Everytime I read this thread I get hungry.
  3. Catfood
  4. Don't expect any planting on the concrete slab. No drainage and you would have a problem with roots with plants or trees.
  5. I think im going to go by Bobb now!
  6. I heard on the news about the fires. If the new owners are lucky they have fire insurance and the park will burn to the ground.
  7. Nice trip report. One of these days I will get to that part of the country to visit the park.
  8. Nice pictures. Why has it taken you so long to post a photo trip report?
  9. Several times a year we go through and move Photo Trip Reports from this forum to Photo Trip Report Archive. We look for reports that have been inactive for at least a couple of months. We don’t want to stop a discussion or comments on a report Once they are moved, there can be no further postings. Right now reports that have been inactive since the end of January have been moved to the archive. The biggest reason for not getting your PTR moved is the location of the pictures. All photos must be uploaded to the TPR server. We will not move a report where the photos are linked like to Imageshack or Photobucket. Nothing is more annoying then to bring up a report and see a white box with a red x or a bandwidth exceeded message. Another reason to upload your photos with your report is so that they may be included in the Park Index. The rules for getting into the Park Index are a lot stricter then the Photo Trip Report Archive. Only the best reports and photos will be included. We do not have the time to upload the photos of a trip report that have been linked. Occasionally we will do an individual picture if it fills a need but it is too time consuming for a whole report. There are a number of good reports that fall into this category. So what makes a good trip report? That is kind of subjective but I will give you a few things I look for. Don’t include blurry pictures. Unless the intent is to show the speed of the coaster flying by with the background in focus, don’t include it. Learn to use the macro feature of your camera. I see a lot of pictures out of focus because you are too close to the subject. Pictures of tickets and speedometers come to mind. You don’t have to include every single picture you have taken at the park in your report. We don’t need to see all 72 shots of Tatsu that you took. Include only the best and unusual ones. Remember most of the parks have been heavily photographed and seeing picture after picture of the same coaster gets a little boring if there is not something different about them. Try to keep your picture size to 800x600 or less. It takes a long time to load over sized pictures and it is annoying having to use the slide bar to see all of it. I usually don’t read a report if the pictures are over sized. Plus we will not consider using them in the index either. I’m sure I will think of other things later. Feel free to comment. Bob
  10. Hey, somebody thinks it is their number 1 ride!
  11. As always Hanno, Your pictures are outstanding.
  12. Nice pictures Martin. I hope to get to Italy next year. I love your caption about the meet and great with the guys in suits.
  13. Nice report. To bad the park is now closed. It is always sad to see a coaster go. OK, maybe not always.
  14. Looks like a very nice park. Well landscaped but I have to agree that the lack of shade in the summer could be rough.
  15. Sweet trip report.
  16. That is pretty cool. It is awesome that someone has taken the time to preserve these old rides. I would love to stop there the next time I'm in the UK.
  17. I love your trip report. Having been to these places you bring back a lot of great memories.
  18. I like the idea of measuring a person when they enter a park. Then it isn't left up to each ride operator to determine if your tall enough and you don't waste your time in line only to be told you can't ride.
  19. This is not the USH thread. Lets keep the discussion on track. Has there been any target date for opening besides maybe June? I would think they would want to catch the Summer season.
  20. I love the reaction on peoples faces. Do you take the pictures in burst mode or just good at timing?
  21. That was a fun park. What I remember most was the two women lifting there tops on Velocity for the picture. They did it over and over again. What was really funny was their kids were riding too.
  22. Nice pictures. I love seeing the foreign parks. Well foreign to me anyway! I'm curious as to why you link to your pictures instead of uploading them to TPR? If they are linked pictures we can't use them in the Park Index or archive the report.
  23. Very nice pictures. It looks like light crowds and a nice day. What were people thinking not going to the park?
  24. Admin Edit: Merged threads
