It's all about economics. Population of Sidney is around 4 million. Population of Shanghai is around 20 million. For the people who don't think the Chinese can afford to go to an amusement park, they need to visit one of the Happy Valley Parks.

This sounds an aweful lot like what happened to Granite Park here in Fresno. The developer had big plans but no financing to back it up. If SFNO is going to be sold it probably won't be to SSA.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that this coaster that they are going to announce at the end of the month will be more like a kiddie coaster then a family coaster?

You have some nice pictures there. You have some really nice ones. If I might make a few suggestions. Be more descriptive in your title. "Wooden Dreams in Sevenum" may sound obvious to you but most people in the US would have no clue it is in the Netherlands and refers to Toverland's Troy. I added to the subject line that these pictures are from Toverland. to help generate more views. Second, You should upload your pictures to the TPR server for a couple of reasons. One is that that if you ever delete them from imageshack they won't become little red x's here. Another good reason is that we can't put the report into the archives or use the pictures in the park index with out them being on the TPR server.

News Article Pretty cool App for the iPhone. It looks like the wait times are provided by users not the park itself. There is more to the app then the wait times. They have a section for pass holders providing things like discounts and blackout dates. There is even a section to look at the menus and prices for the restaurants in the parks. California Adventure is included too. The best part it is Free.

Nice trip report and yes I did read it. Keep the pictures coming. That would be the San Luis Reservoir. They steal the water from Northern California and store it there until Southern California needs it.

Let me see, if I thought my kid floated off in the balloon I think I would have called 911 first not the FAA. I would also be following the balloon in my car and would have been the first to the ballon when it touched down. I don't think he thought this out to well.

Nice trip report. It is always good to see parks that are a little bit hard to visit for most of us. Glad to see you post this and look forward to seeing the other 3 parks. Nice pictures. Waaaaay back in the 80's I used to work in the Launch Center for the shuttle. I miss those days.
