  1. ^ JFC Lance get your head out of your ass already...
  2. Wow, this is shocking and heartbreaking. I won't hazard a guess about what happened but I am very curious how this will all shake out. Sounds like having an air-gap between the restraint and seat was probably not the way to go for a ride that tilts you like a dump truck.
  3. This honestly has to be one of the most overly-complicated ways to get people to go downhill.
  4. ^ It looks like this is not a new slide but instead they just added some new tech to the existing slide.
  5. ^ One statue isn't enough?
  6. Dude can you get me a discount on them Dippin' Dots?
  7. https://www.europapark.de/en/theme-park/attractions/ba-express Closest you're gonna get, probably.
  8. This is the first I'm hearing of this park and it looks like a nice family destination as it doesn't seem to have anything very large. The most thrilling attraction looks like it would be their Top Scan so I'm not feeling like this new attraction would be something huge. That being said, though, Kolmarden was a zoo until they built a massive RMC out of nowhere.
  9. Not the exact same spot but pretty darn close. This is from November 2021, I believe I was standing between the Spidey ride and the Spidey gift shop.
  10. You weren't lied to, that's for sure. I can't help but laugh the entire time I'm riding them. Mammoth is especially fun when the forced spinning comes into play about halfway through the course.
  11. I'm partial to hot pink and electric burple, personally.
  12. Seriously. If I'm a passholder and I see a line longer than 20 minutes I say screw it and get it the next time. I've never bought a front of line pass at the park I have a season pass to. It's a waste of money.
  13. Well everyone, we found him. The biggest nerd on TPR.
  14. Oh, there's no doubt it would be extremely similar to Mystic Manor.
  15. ^ To be honest, though, we visited a few times for Christmas Candylane and the park was practically empty. The last time we were there was 2017 and it was in the mid-30s, damp, and windy. Everything they usually have open for the event was open but the place was a ghost town. A beautiful, light-filled ghost town. Our longest wait was for the train and that was about five minutes. I think we waited longer for our food at Chickie's & Pete's.
  16. It really is baffling to me that Cedar Fair is killing the haunt events while knowing how wildly popular they are. I can't speak for them all, obviously, but 90% of Halloween events I've attended have had an absolutely obscene rise in popularity in the past decade. Just this past season I went to a haunt outside of Chicago (Hellsgate) in late September and the place was a zoo. It was around 40 degrees and the place was so packed that my VIP pass still had a 40-minute wait to get into the haunt. I'm not even going to bother going into details about how absurdly overcrowded Knott's was in mid-October. Long story short, eliminating a haunt event in favor of a child-friendly trick or treat event seems, well, dumb, but I also have no idea what kind of ROI the parks see from the events, either. For all I know it could be a negligible profit for a lot of upfront cost while a trick or treat event would cost substantially less to put up and bring in more profit in the end. That's all these businesses care about in the long run anyway; whatever makes more green in the end. Edit - If you're in Chicago during haunt season, get your ass to Hellsgate. It's phenomenal.
  17. Are people still forking over the money? The increases will continue until they stop.
  18. Something something "keep hands and arms inside the car at all times" blah blah
  19. 80mph and a 5-minute cycle.
  20. Oh man, Atlanta is horrific if you try to get through town during rush hour. Mind you, Atlanta rush hour is basically 6am-1pm then 3pm-9pm. I remember in 2019 I was stage managing the Blackpink US tour and we were performing at the arena just outside Duluth, essentially caddy-corner to Hartsfield Airport. We had to take I-85 straight through downtown and it took us three hours. That's about 40 miles. Atlanta sucks.
