  7. Yeah, I've had some of those... Have you ever ridden a coaster fifteen or more times in a row?
  8. No, I can barely run 2 miles let alone 22.6 miles! (That's how long a marathon is, right?) Have you ever seen any of the Friday The 13th films?
  9. Getting in a plane accident. What's worse than getting mugged in a big city?
  10. I haven't been to Dorney Park since 2007 since Laser and those other kiddie coasters were around, but this might be what will get me to go there next year. Don't get me wrong, I like Dorney, it's just ordinarily not that spectacular in comparison to parks like Great Adventure, or completely worth the 125+ mile drive for me. However, I'd love to ride the newer things they've gotten in recent years, especially the last 1st generation Intamin drop tower left in North America and this intriguing new coaster. I'll be looking forward to next year!
  11. Wood: El Toro at Great Adventure, by far Steel: Toss-up between Apollo's Chariot at Busch Gardens Williamsburg (pretty much because I love the pre-drop) and Magnum at Cedar Point since it was so forceful!
  12. Yes and Styx at Nikon Jones Beach Theater on July 11. They were both incredible and the whole concert just oozed of sheer rock, I loved it!
  13. Who Wants To Live Forever- Queen
  14. Report: My family went to the park last Monday for a get-together with some of our cousins/relatives, though ironically we all never rode anything together and we all met up for only ten minutes in total. Anyway, we entered the park about five minutes after it opened and I decided to go straight to the Green Lantern on my own. Little had I known that it already had a crowd of people waiting as well, but it was still a five-minute wait for me. The coaster was better than I expected, and besides my head being bit shaken up, I have no complaints about it. I was actually more surprised that it had a single riders line (even though the line doesn't start until you're more than halfway through the queue). Overall, I think Green Lantern is a welcome addition to the park, even though it can never truly replace GASM. After Green Lantern I headed for El Toro (two trains), which surprisingly had no lines aside from the first few and last few rows, meaning multiple rides. Bizarro had almost no lines either, but unfortunately, the audio wasn't on (at least on the train I rode). Then I was able to snag rides on the Skyway, Nitro, and the Dark Knight, each with little to no waiting time! After a short family reunion, my party went outside of the park shortly for some delectable KFC. Most of the rides had started to gain lines by that point and I was only able to get rides on Twister, Tornado, Batman, and Green Lantern again (the latter was a 30 minute wait even with the single rider line). I didn't go on Kingda Ka because of that, but I heard from one of my uncles that it was down for a little while. Since there was not much else for us all to do, my party left around 7:00 PM and went to the Hampton Inn to stay overnight so that I could go to Hurricane Harbor the next day. I had never been to the water park before and I gotta say, it was smaller than I had expected. Since the forecast for that day called for scattered showers, there was barely anybody in the water park. It actually only rained once for about 10 minutes and it didn't halt the rides at all. Pretty much every ride had waits of 15 minutes or less, except for Tornado which was I guess half-an-hour. And right before I got to ride it, another single rider rode it and had been flipped over causing a short delay, and even though I heard that he wasn't injured, single or double riders weren't allowed from then on, and I had to wait a little longer to ride it. I only spent about 3 hours in HH, but it was still an overall fun two days. 5 Flags out of 6. Park Ridelist: El Toro 3x Green Lantern 2x Nitro 1x Bizarro 1x Batman The Ride 1x Dark Knight 1x Rolling Thunder (right) 1x Skull Mountain 1x Tornado 1x Twister 1x Skyride 1x
  15. I was just at the park two days ago and when I rode Bizarro, the audio was completely off, no static or anything. I may be wrong but I heard somewhere that the audio on the New England version is getting changed to generic techno/pop music. I really hope that's not going to happen to ours anytime soon.
  16. The two main diet colas: Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi. I have it with virtually every meal (yes, including breakfast) and I even have plenty of one of the two in between meals.
  17. This is the first time I've ever seen a family or a kiddie coaster have its own exclusive media day. Very interesting indeed. BTW, did anyone at the press conference officially mention that they've tied Cedar Point now?
  18. Report: I had meant to type up this PTR a few days ago, but I couldn't get any time to upload the pictures until now. Long story short: the park was nearly empty the entire day. Even though I visited during the middle of Spring Break, there was only (I'm estimating) like a hundred people in the entire park. The weather scared a lot of people off even though it only rained for about 20 minutes and the majority of the rides were only closed down for half-an-hour (The fact that this is arguably the lousiest Six Flags park doesn't hurt either ). The lack of people of course meant a ton of re-rides, too. Even when we left the park around 2 o'clock to get lunch outside the park there was little to no waiting at all. If there was any waiting at all, it was because all of the coasters (except Batwing) had only one train running all day. You guys get my point. Ridelist: Superman: Ride Of Steel 11x Batwing 5x Joker's Jinx 3x Wild One 3x Tower of Doom 3x Roar 2x Mind Eraser 2x Great Chase 1x Rodeo 1x Photos: Huzzah! We are here at last! What park isn't complete without teacups? Wild One? Fun. Waiting 20 minutes in the train because the lap bars malfunctioned? Not so much. So if it's Gotham than what's Superman doing in there? First stop: the twisted metal mess. Hooray for hypers! Is it bad that the edges of the Cobra Roll are the tallest parts of this coaster? This was actually the only water ride open, and I only saw like 10 people ride it... More jumbled, compact steel! *cue The Price Is Right mountain climber music* The newest coaster here...happy 10th birthday btw. Must get its name from the ROARing headache that comes afterwards... Mind Eraser was actually my first Vekoma invert; not the most pleasent experience. I love to stop for the scenery... At least Vekoma's flyers aren't as head-banging as their inverts. And I got to end the day with the last Superman train of the day! Thanks for reading!
  19. Superman: Ride Of Steel at Six Flags America last Tuesday.
  20. I live on Long Island and the cheapest price around here that I know of is exactly $4 per gallon.
  21. Ultra Twister
  22. Photos: First ride of the entire season (squee!) So incredibly excited for next month! Hey California, how's you GL construction going along? Sexy Immelman... It's weird that the loop is about as tall as Superman itself. Okay enough of that, onto the Safari! Dang jaywalkers... Catchin' some shade even though it was 50 degrees out. They were like 5 feet away from us but this pic makes it look farther, doesn't it? Oh wow, that giraffe looks so fake... Oh wow, that giraffe looks so hungry. Hey! Can you do "Be Prepared"? "This is my fort, not yours!" "You haven't seen a little girl with a bowl of porridge in her hand, have you?" Oh no, he's gonna die of heatstroke in cold weather! Doesn't appear to care that his friend is behind a fence. "Just keep driving, bub." Baby antelopes are known to be masters of camouflage. "Don't think I don't see that banana in your car!" Where are Thumper and Flower? Fantasy Fling's Tornado's lovely new paint job. Gotta love the dip. The "New" children's area. Not a very good hiding spot... Cobra!!!! (roll) Still love the new paint... Unfortunately, not every ride was open yesterday. The new Slingshot isn't here yet either. The old turtle exhibit was replaced with Alpacas. Sorry to rub it in, Kentucky... The new sea lion exhibit was pretty interesting. Segsee turnz!! Segsee 0G Roollz!!!!! One coaster at sundown... Another coaster at dusk! The final (and mandatory) shot of the day. Thanks for Reading!
