^I thought that only applied to bad movies with god-awful sequels, seeing how it's named for Transformers, but oh well. Iron Man 2: 3/4 Stars. The action was very good, the actors did a great job (especially Robert Downey Jr.) and it was interesting to see what exactly happened to Stark after he revealed his identity to the world at the end of the first movie, but the whole thing felt somewhat lacking. I wasn't expecting a superoir sequel that superhero films seem to love (Dark Knight, Superman II, Spider-Man 2), but the whole thing was satisfying and I can't wait to see Iron Man and War Machine in The Avengers film in 2012! However, the all AC/DC soundtrack gets an A+ from me!

Just saw the Nightmare on Elm Street remake/reboot/reimagining last night. Obviously not even close to the original, but I was expecting that. From the perspective of a horror fan, it was alright and it did a decent job of keeping some good elements and even some quotes ("Talk about a wet dream!") from the original films. Jackie Earle Haley also did a good job in my opinion and was very creepy. Overall, I give it a 6 out of 10 and I'd put it right in the middle of my list of my favorite Nightmare films. Also, was it me or did the last two surviving kids look like Edward & Bella? Talk about pandering to every demographic.

No, and I've never participated in one either. Do you wear a bathrobe before/after a shower/bath?

Frankly, the changing of Sky Rocket's opening day isn't a surprise considering the fact that the first pieces of track came much sooner than expected (just a couple of months ago, right?) -

Pictures: We're heeeeeeeeeere This one was taken by my sister Should I be ashamed that I'm more interested in the background? Looked a lot better in person. These two actually didn't have a giant pile of cars in front of them... Another by my sister I'd hate to be the person in that truck right now Love the paint, it looks brand new! Okay, now Simon says scratch your ear! It's judging you My sister: "Yeah, we're chillin, so what?" One of the lion twins (I'm not sure which one) looks healthy Could be worse, he could be at Disney's Animal Kingdom (rimshot) *raises eyebrow* My mother said this looks like a horse/antelope hybrid Two testing trains got stuck on Bizarro Yet another by my sister Best. Monkey Bars. Ever. Best. Wooden Coaster. Ever. Considering how old my camera is, this was a lucky shot This one however, wasn't lucky You'll be seeing plenty of train shots here "Y'all come back now, ya here?" A surprise appearence from a marching band What a relaxing ride GASM was doing pretty well today erUPtion still isn't quite ready yet As always, this overrated coaster had long lines all day Hurricane Construction Update: At the far right, you can see that the steel framing is starting to be built. Also, Hurricane pieces are being layed all over Hurricane Harbor until they're ready. Curvy... Batman got stuck, again. Road Runner Railway was also running. What trip to the parkisn't complete without an artsy picture? Fantasy Fling: my favorite flat Even Blackbeard had a long wait! Another mandatory picture Ahh, you've caused so many migranes over 21 years. Wanna see a magic trick? Lower the temperature a bit and see the line DISAPPEAR! Another fun coaster In case you missed it, here's Batman. BIZA-support-O #1 36 years & counting I don't know why I've never taken this picture before. Good lights... Great lights... Finally, amazing lights. Thanks for reading! -
Just finished up Iron Man in preperation for the sequel in two weeks. Loved the first one and I have high hopes for the next film!

Myself, my mother, sister, and her friend got to the park around 9:30 and visited the Wild Safari first because we got combination tickets from a discount website. This was my first visit to the Safari since I was six and the only thing I remember from then was the multitude of monkeys climbing on our car with my mother freaking out. You could imagine how relived she felt when she found out that they keep the monkeys behind fences now. Otherwise, it was a very nice experience with a lot of interesting sights, I hope to visit it again in the near-future, but I'll actually visit the Exploration Station next time. We all split up when we entered the park, I went on Kingda Ka followed by Toro (twice), Thunder, Bizarro, Mine Train, GASM, and the Parachutes (each with waits no longer than 20 minutes), my mother surprisingly went on Batman and Bizarro, and my sister and her friend went on Thunder (which they claim was their "big" coaster for the day), Skull Mountain, and a bunch of flats. We left the park briefly for lunch at Burger King and by the time we got back, the crowds gradually began to increase. After 2 rides on Nitro and one on the Dark Knight, I noticed that the line for Batman was well out into the gardens and the lines for about every other major coaster was either completely or mostly full... and then the clouds started to form. By about 5:30, a lot of the lines simmered down to a substantial length, so I was able to ride Batman, Skull Mountain (which had a few effects on), Fling, Blackbeard, and Bizarro two more times. The log flume line even almost completely disappeared and I would've gone on it if my sister and her friend didn't refuse to go on it with me. After that we all rode the Dark Knight together, then I rode Nitro three more times, and then I convinced those two to ride Fling and Buccaneer while the lights were switched on. After a quick dinner at McDonald's, we were on our way back home. Overall, it wasn't my best visit, but it cirtainly wasn't horrible either: 5 Flags out of 6. Stay tuned for the pictures in the next post! Rides: Nitro x4 Bizarro 3x El Toro 2x Dark Knight 2x Runaway Mine Train 2x Fanasy Fling 2x Kingda Ka 1x Batman: The Ride 1x GASM 1x Rolling Thunder (left) 1x Skull Mountain 1x Blackbeard 1x Buccaneer 1x Parachute Tower 1x

I'm defianately going on the 24th. I'm very excited since it's my first visit of the new season, but early weather forecasts say rain and showers alternating through the day. Good Side: You'll be surprised on how many people get scared off by the rain. The rides'll be ripe for the pickin'! Bad Side: A lot of rides might be closed because of either the rain (Ka) or just because of low attendance. Oh well, I'll just have to wait and see.

Not a Y/N, but the back. Do you listen to the radio anymore? (this doesn't mean if it wakes you up in the morning)

Me likey! This is a pretty cool development and it really seems that Zamperla is going the extra mile to get that old nostalgic feeling back to Coney Island. If all this is going on for 2010, I'm really anxious to see how they'll improve on this in 2011. Hopefully, I'll go to the revamped Luna Park if I have nothing to do during the summer and I can convince my family to go with me.

What better way to spend April Fools Day than doing some credit whoring on the only real amusement park on Long Island? After a few days of delay, our family got the opportunity to go to the only place on Long Island that has anything close to major roller coasters, even if there are only two. We weren't expecting any big lines since the park has been branded as a dump, but big shocker: the place was more than full because of some Passover get-together (on April 1 of all dates). Every last ride in the place was more than full, had waits of at least 30 minutes, and sometimes it was so packed that I could hardly move without bumping into someone. Some people even asked the staff if this was the busiest day of the year (even though their season just began). But I only needed to go on two coasters and one flat, so it wasn't that torturous. We were in and out within three hours, including a stop at Wendy's for lunch. Ride Count: Hurricane 1x Ladybug Coaster 1x Frisbee 1x Pictures: Alright, we're finally here, we'll be in & out in no time! Oh poop... Generic Flat #1 Generic Flat #2 Generic Fla- You get the idea A surprisingly decent ride Only one train holding 12 people at a time and a line with at least 100? FAIL I lost the staring contest. Standard Tivoli, but it's relaxing to ride. Another look at the steel mess that is the Hurricane. Believe me, it looks much dirtier in real life. *insert corny line about being the "curviest" thing in the park* This was actually my first time on a HUSS Frisbee. The new Haunted House that will open later this year. Its queue is still under construction. Tell me you don't want to give him a high-five! Note to self: Get better camera. Cars for the new Haunted House: Creepy? Rascist? Both? Thanks for reading!
