Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread
Carnage replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Trains for every coaster get taken off the track during the offseason. So you're not going to see trains in a station of transfer track for any ride. Plus the trains are most likely being modified, so they're not going to be there for that reason either. -
Potato, potato. It looks like a zero-g, so for the purpose of the argument we can call it a zero-g. Shall we call it the twisty do-hickey? Who know's what they're doing, but my money is on a simple retracking, or temporary removal while they do other work. If that element was going to be replaced with a hill it would require reworking of all the supports, and completely re-doing the hill. Sounds kind of costly to me. If the elemement was a problem wouldn't they just go the cheaper route and replace it with straight track? Adding an airtime hill seems kind of excesive.

Yeah, I understand what they're suggesting. It goes through those zero G rolls at a very high speed. Regarldess if you're talking about going forwards, or after the backwards launch. You can't just switch out those zero-g rolls with an airtime hill like it's RCT or something. And considering how much space they have to deal with I'd suspect whatever size hill would fit would be pretty painful. I would not want to go backwards over a small hill at that speed.

Tigger hits kid at Disney World
Carnage replied to Zen Coaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
What BS. The guy in the suit is totally being made the scapegoat. If I was in the suit I would have done alot more to that trailer trash kid. The punk deserved more then just to be brushed off. -
If it's being removed, why it's being removed, etc etc. Some people just like to throw out random terms and use that to prove their point. Saying "They're removing that part because it caused the most stress on the shoulder restraints and the johnson rod" doesn't prove anything. Nor are any of these reasons probably the real reason IF the inversions are getting removed.

There's even a guy in there for 1st degree murder. Can't remember what page though. Gotta love these public arrest details. -
My Old English Teacher Gets Arrested!

Haha, page 13 has to be a cross dresser. Page 19 looks like a gremlin. Hahaha, guy on page 2 was charged with "Issuance of a worthless check under $150". What the hell does that even mean? Bounce a check and you go to jail?? -
Cedar Point - Hotel Questions
Carnage replied to eyeamthu1's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You might have been seeing the cost of a package which includes park tickets, parking voucher, etc. For staying at any Cedar Point resort(Breakers,Sandcastle,Lighthouse Point,Camper Village,Castaway Bay,Breakers Express) you get early entry to the park. (including the day you check out) So yes, if you stay at Breakers Express you will get early entry. BE is where I stay every time now. It's affordable, and you still get all the perks. -
I was supposed to be #4, but I claimed they would have to retrack 1/3rd of the ride after every season. They kicked me out and said I was crazy.

Mitch Hawker's Steel Poll - Now Open
Carnage replied to ParkTrips's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Mitch should get a monkey to do it. He could borrow one of the infinite monkeys that are writing Shakespeare. I'm sure they wouldn't miss one out of infinite. Though I guess he'd have to set up some sort of sound proof room so that the monkey's shrieking doesn't keep him up. -
Cedar Point - Hotel Questions

^ 2-3 days is probably more then enough time to spend in Cleveland. Geagua Lake is a park that probably will not take you longer then 2-3 hours to finish with. If you have to choose between July and August I'd choose August. Though it's pretty much a crap shoot with either month. -
A quick nice comment could do wonders. Sometimes people don't realize how much the apartment below can hear. Assuming they're decent people they'd probably keep it down. The people below told me that way after a night of me drunken blasting the XBox360 at full volume and bass. Though you are in LA, so the chances of them being decent people are much worse.

Never too late to go back to school. My brother got kicked out of high school, became a bum working in a factory for a few years, went back, finished, graduated university from a great school, and now has a kick ass job. Best of luck.

It's because you're just craving attention. If you didn't want to be made fun of you would keep your weird personal life to yourself. You're like an annoying sibling that keeps poking your brother and then complains to mom when he turns around and smacks you.

Amusement Park Workers In Ohio Excluded
Carnage replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Discriminatory, not racist. Racist would be if they excluded blacks and hispanics from the minimum wage increase. -
Bravo!! Excellent job. You obviously got a natural talent for video editing. Takes quite a bit of creative thinking to come up with something so original.

Mitch Hawker's Steel Poll - Now Open
Carnage replied to ParkTrips's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Finally got around to submitting my ballot. Ranked 131 coasters. My system was I ranked each ride from 1 to 5. Then sorted everything into those groups. Then within those groups ranked them as I would. Then adjusted all the numbers. Meant I had to rank and compare much smaller sets of rides. Didn't take me too long doing it this way. Still 10 days to get your ballots in. -
I've always read that when it comes to web design any combination of black with red or green is really taboo. Someone who is red/green colour blind can actually see those colours as black instead. So a page with red text on a black background would be seen as solid black to someone who is colour blind.

Technically it's not required. It's just really a public statement of your faith. Don't think of it as some magical ceremony that is going to get you to heaven. I wish you luck in your faith. Christianity is not something that is easy going. You will be tested.

^ Dreams are often random thoughts relating to stuff that you were thinking about when you were awake. So if you spend alot of time thinking about dragons, it's likely you're going to have odd dreams involving dragons.
