  1. Looks like you got hit worse then we did as usual. Our storm was more salty then ice.
  2. You might be surprised. Thunderhead has a considerable amount of airtime as it does that roll over twist into the first turnaround. GCI's twisting can produce quite a bit of lateral airtime.
  3. The ride platform that you're sitting on swings back and forth on a pendulum. Meanwhile the entire room is spun around you. Combining the two simulates being swung upside down. It's a very cool, and very trippy ride. Your body tells you you're not upside down, but your mind is screaming at you telling you that yes you are upside down.
  4. That looks so wicked. I'll be heading out to Valleyfair this year for sure.
  5. Man what a way to go. Makes me shudder just thinking of it.
  6. Consider yourself lucky. I asked PCW about if it was possible to use my voucher at Knotts in March. They said the pass had to be processed first. So I'd have to pay admission, or they would refund my PCW pass so that I could buy a Knotts pass(which is about 2x as much). So I'm not going to Knotts anymore out of spite.
  7. I don't think that was the case? Taken shortly after the sale of SFWoA
  8. Weird today was pretty much the first I had heard of it. Was watching Atack of the Show on G4 and caught a bit from Chris Gore talking about how underrated it was. But I agree, typically anything that goes straight to DVD does it for a reason. I never really "got" King of the Hill though. I've seen some funny episodes, but the majority of the episodes I just find boring and painful.
  9. They already have Exterminator. Don't see the need for another spinning coaster.
  10. No, SFoT, oG, and STL are the core of Six Flags, being the original three parks. SFMM is more like a symbol of what's wrong with Six Flags as a company. And in recent years SFGAM,SFGADV, and SFoG have pretty much taken over as the flagship parks. SFMM hasn't been Six Flags prime asset for quite awhile.
  11. ^ La Ronde could be your cheapest option. Though it's also considerably out of the way.
  12. Maybe they were using SFMM to draw more attention and force the asking price up. Including a major park would probably make more of a splash, and bring more interest in to kick the tires.
  13. Interesting. No real surprises there. Though I kind of wondered if La Ronde was going to be sold. Guess that means I can still get a play pass from SFMM and head up to La Ronde for the credits.
  14. ^ No way is the train going 10-20 mph during the zero-g roll. It might not be going 70 at that point, but it's still going more then 20. It would never clear the cobra roll/top hat if it was doing like 10 mph at that point.
  15. Actually Paramount screwed it up by running it into the ground. (literally). CF just has to now pick up the pieces.
  16. It's not really that big of a question. They'll just rebuild that section so that the track lines up. They're already rebuilding entire sections of track, so it's not much more to rework the area where the loop used to be.
  17. ^ The interview is in the news report. This should be the one he was reffering to. http://youtube.com/watch?v=CiPPxBxPBOw
  18. But you're proposing a very slippery slope. Punish someone for something extremely minor, and you open the door for every ambulance chasing lawyer out there to sue the crap out of Disney. Not too mention that punishing someone in a union for something like that would never go down.
  19. What counts as "proper actions"? Let the kid continue to choke/knock him over?? If this fades the line between what the company should and should not tolerate then tell us what he did wrong. You can't make two totally contradictory statements. Sorry but you're just not making any sense on this one. If anything they should make an example of the kid. Show the public that you can't just try and make an easy buck off a minor incident that the guest provoked. I would never work for a company who would tell me "it's not your fault, but screw you here's your pink slip".
  20. My guess would be just a straight section of track. They're not going to pull the loop out and then do anything crazy with the ride.
  21. Actually I think the publicity is getting them to back down. I was listening to the radio on my way to work this morning and they mentioned that the family was not longer sueing, but just wanted an apology. Something about the world thinking they were a family of money grubbing losers. (DJs words, not the family's ) Disney should hang them out to dry and force THEM to make the apology. Sue them for slander or something. Take their trailer away.
  22. Why should the cast member be fired? He was just defending himself. And he barely brushed the kid. Firing him would be as bad of a knee jerk reaction as suing Disney.
  23. You just looked at the pictures didn't you?? That was answered 4 times in the thread before you asked that.
  24. How smart is he to post a photo TR of him trespassing?? I hope there's a photo TR of his arrest, trial, and jail time.
