Is CF even building anything yet at MIA? I remember they weren't going to build anything there until a problem with the county was resolved? Wonder how much taxes and duties CF would get hit with if they tried to send it across the border? 14% on a multi-million dollar roller coaster?

The thing about MIA though is that it needs more ride. Any rides at all. I found there to be little to do at MIA when I went. That being said I'd expect MIA to get ignored a bit longer. Seems more and more likely that PKI is getting X-Flight. I guess this leaves Batwing as the only Vekoma flyer to stay in one spot. At least for now.

There's two Great America's. Six Flags Great America and Paramounts Great America. PGA is run by Cedar Fair.

It tends to get alot of complaints of head banging. Though most of the complains come from people who never venture out of Ohio, so take it with a grain of salt. That's actually a bad idea to suggest. Closing your eyes can actually make you sick. Your mind doesn't see the loop coming, and thus can't prepare for it.

I wouldn't shed any tears if GL were to go away. I'd actually be happy if it meant bringing either Dominator or Steel Venom to Canada. Steel Venom would fit nicely where Dragon Fire sits.

Tomb Raider is drastically different then a Vekoma flyer though. That being said I don't see it going to Wonderland just because there's not a whole lot of room for a ride with that footprint. Makes sense to send it to PKI. I mean nearly all of PKI's roller coasters hurt like hell, so may as well add another one to the list.

You haven't read enough about Mantis then. I've only had one bad ride on it, but alot of people complain about it.

Around here we go by props. On the UK trip was the first time I had heard it called pound it.

33 days is too early in my opinion. To be honest I pretty much hate all Christmas stuff. It's just so much of a comerical hallmark holiday now. I do like spending time with friends and family on the holidays, but the music and decorations just bug me.

Saying "You would have been strung up from a tree 50 years ago" while true, still isn't alright to say. Just like if someone said to a Jewish person "60 years ago you would have been thrown into a furnace" that would be taken as a seriously offensive remark.

I stayed in some one star dive a few minutes from LAX once that probably would have fit better. Took forever to find it because it just looked like some housing projects.

Lucky you. Flying London->Toronto after the UK trip we were treated to Failure to Launch, Casanova, and Pride and Prejudice. I figured Keira Knightley might make the last one more bearable, but it was still terrible. (even without sound). Looks like you had fun. Looking forward to the rest of the TR.
