Yes, I realize the saturday is the bad day. I've had walk on conditions on the Sunday as well. But my point is still valid that it's better to go during bonus weekends when the entire weekend has short lines.

Halloweekend saturday's fill the park to capacity if the weather is half way decent. That's why I always tell people to foget halloweekends and go bonus weekends in September. You don't get the halloween stuff, but you do get walk on conditions on almost all the rides.

HoliWood Nights in 2007?

Nice, that's the May long weekend in Canada, which makes this a bit easier. Also happens to be my birthday that weekend. I normally go to Cedar Point on our May long weekend, but I'm sure I can bump that to a different weekend. I'd do anything for more time on Voyage. -

Tell that to the TTD crew. -

Yarmouth and Joyland is done. Slowly and surely I'm getting these done. Only 3 more to go. Slow and steady wins the race I guess, kind of like a Snail. A Snail which happens to be a credit. *puts on flam suit* -

Either Blu Ray or HD-DVD could very well be the next Beta Max. It's too early to tell, but I wouldn't consider Sony/Blu Ray or MS/HD DVD to be an actual selling feature. -

But you could still get one from a store. Sony is expecting to ship what 400,000 PS3s at launch? Good luck getting one before next years coaster season starts. -

And costing 1/3rd the PS3, not too mention actually being able to get one at launch without buying one from a scalper for $2000. -
Park Size

^ I wouldn't call Mt Olympus worst layed out. It's just that it's really hilly. It's far too small of a park to be affected two much by bad planning. -

^ It's not all that surprising when you see it in person. 2x load 2x unload 2x launch and staging Then just cycle around constantly. -

Depends on the ride really. Look at Raptor and Magnum at Cedar Point for instance. Both run 3 trains, and will rarely have a train sitting on a brake run very long. It seems like a train is constantly being loaded and dispatched. Going down to 2 trains would make a difference. -

How selfish of us to want a better return for the money we are paying the park. We should happily wait hours longer so that the shareholders can earn more pennies. -
Park Size
Carnage replied to roasted_marshmallow's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Do you mean the park is small, or the amount of rides is small? To me, it seemed like one of the biggest and most spread out parks I had been to. The hills also are pretty bad. Are you asking about my Mt. Olympus comment? If so then both. Mt Olympus ride wise and park size is pretty small. But the elevation changes is pretty drastic. Not too mention the ride stations being built like 30 feet off the ground. -

I've seen 6 trains run on TTD. But they rarely run it that way. The 6th train doesn't add any capacity. All you're doing is adding a train waiting to be loaded. TTD's capacity is just based on getting a train to launch once the circuit is free. And even with 5 trains the ops have no problem doing that. So adding the 6th train just backs them up without adding any benefit. Or something like that. -

^^ We let our USA hired goons take care of the fighting. Hence why we don't have to spend all our money on an army. -
Unless you accidently hit report, and accidently put your post in the report comment box, and accidently hit report. But if you do that you deserve a temp ban.

^ Canadian thanksgiving is in October, US thanksgiving is in November. If you're a dual citzen like I am it sometimes means double turkey dinners. -
Since when are Dragster,Millenium Force, Magnum, Raptor, Mantis, Wicked Twister, Power Tower, Maxair,Maverick considered family rides?? If anything CP doesn't have enough family themed rides.

I was curious what Canada's slogan was. Turns out we have a new slogan recently as well. "Fight Fear, Fight Distress, and Fight Chaos. Fight with the Canadian Forces" Maybe our new pro-USA conservative goverment is making it's voice heard. Though of course that slogan sounds strong until you get to the "Canadian Forces" part. Then you just laugh and think they were actually serious for a moment.

I'm not sure I get it up here. But I watched quite a bit when I was down in Indianapolis over the weekend. The special I watched on the building of the pacific coaste highway was much more interesting then all the basketball and football that was on.

^^ Where they special brownies??
-
^ You're better off with it being cold. Warm weather + CP halloweekend can result in the park being filled to capacity.
-
^ I guess Voyage has a thing for Canadians kind of like Elissa.

I think I ended up with like 490. Which is much better than I did in the UK where I think only 1 of the 4 or 5 guns actually worked for me. Now this means that I have a strong draw to bring me back for Holliwood nights next year. But I'll have to see about that.
