  1. Just par for the course with Cedar Fair. Hasn't stopped Cedar Point from building 4 Intamin's in a row.
  2. I've only been to SFMM twice. And I didn't even see Flashback until the second trip. The first time I was at the park I totally forgot it even existed. After leaving the park I remembered it, but couldn't for the life of me remember even seeing it.
  3. A disability isn't an excuse to be an ass. (just going off the stories people of posted of him being rude)
  4. ^ Breaker's express is your best option then. I haven't stayed anywhere else since staying there. It's about as much as most affordable hotels in the area, and is not a dive like most of the off point hotels are.
  5. Are you talking about the Volair's being "getting it right"?? Because I've lost count of how many time's I've seen PCW's Tomb Raider break down. Though when it breaks down it just means that it doesn't torment it's riders for a short time.
  6. That just shattered my mental image of what sailors do with their shore leave. Don't sailors still go boozing and womanizing while off the ship? Or is this a new age navy type thing??
  7. FYI your early entry ticket is actually valid for the day you check out as well. So after check out you could always head into the park for early entry rides and then leave.
  8. Yep. http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=1172 Did you actually look at the photo before posting it? That photo actually proves me wrong, there's two cars on there. (the board is actually in the second car)
  9. Is that first one supposed to be based off Test Track?
  10. Liar!! You would have been 1 to 3 weeks old depending on when in February it was.
  11. It's not the whole train. And testing the train is not the point of the pull through, it's more for clearance testing. My only guess is because the first car is different then the other cars. (in seating at least). On MF I'm pretty sure they only used the nose car to do the pull through.
  12. Yeah I know, just poking fun. I had to knock off an ice shield that encased my car yesterday. If I hadn't it probably would have eventually flown off while driving(which is always a danger in freezing weather). My parking spot was covered in huge ice blocks by the time I left.
  13. That's not even snow. Minor sleet I guess you could call it. Did the military get called in to rescue you?
  14. Scottish if I I go back far enough I think. Being of Scotish heritage my soulform is sheep.
  15. Which begs the question, if you couldnt even keep your footing on your driveway, how was your car going to fair getting across it to the road? lol Slippery if I remember correctly. I'm actually a very good winter driver though. I commuted for two years through the lake Huron snow belt. I got quite used to driving in conditions where I couldn't see the end of my hood. The highways I drove on for that commute would close very often, I quite often had to leave work early before they started to close. So a little bit of ice or snow in town never really affects me. Though on bad days I stick to back roads to try and avoid the morons. Doesn't matter how good of a driver you are if some other moron smashes into you.
  16. Very true. They don't want to be setting off fireworks in high winds and have them drifting too much. The Canada Day before last they almost canceled the fireworks due to high winds. They actually set fire to the grass with their test shot. Where we were sitty the fireworks were going over our heads and blowing up behind us. I could feel the ask hitting my face, and sparks were landing around us. There were employee's with fire extingishers all around me putting out sparks. It was cool and scary at the same time. They probably shouldn't have launched them, but this is just a small town University fireworks. I can't imagine Disney would want to risk launching fireworks over peoples heads. Not too mention the risk of fires.
  17. Yeah, we realize that you Californians are weak. I always find it so funny when California, Texas or Florida get a few inches of snow and it totally shuts the state down. A couple winters ago I remember an ice storm so bad that while scraping my windshield I had to tuck my feet behind the tire to keep from sliding down the driveway.
  18. Interesting. Lists Spinning Coaster - Gerstlauer for Galaxyland in West Edmonton Mall. Guess that'd make Calaway Park happy again.
  19. I think it's somewhat due to the higher you go the less there is to block the wind. So it's obviously going to be less windy on the ground then up in the air. I've been at Cedar Point during high winds and noticed a drastic change in wind when we got about 1/4 of the way up Power Tower. Nice TR. Makes me look forward even more to March.
  20. Man you really are emo aren't you? Maybe as you grow up you'll realize that another mall building a roller coaster isn't something to cry over. And nothing to offer? I guess you've never heard about the rocky mountains, whistler, Vancouver, etc? You need to get out more.
  21. So another mall a few hundred miles away plans a new roller coaster and that's the end of the world for you?? Hate to break it to you but Edmonton & West Edmonton Mall were never the best that western Canada has to offer.
  22. Our company outsourced a project to Pakistan a couple years ago. Two years later and we've taken the project back and been forced to totally redo the entire thing. In the end it's cost us years and thousands of dollars more just because the outsourced project was so bad. Just because it looks like the cheapest option, doesn't mean it actually is the cheapest option.
  23. Maybe Nintendo is focusing their assets on producing more Wii's instead of DS's? Just a pure guess though.
  24. It's the best way I could describe that kind of sleety snow/ice. The stuff that ends up feeling more like sand then snow. Actually I guess sand would be a better word. My point was though that we didn't get the rain/sheer ice. We got more of a snow/ice mixture that while a pain in the ass, wasn't as bad as pure ice.
  25. Huge savings as long as they don't just outsource the whole thing to India.
