Vekoma's can get uncomfortable as well when you're on your back staring straight at the sun. The flyer concept in general is uncomfortable. Wether on their backs or stomachs the riders are always in a bad position. Probably why flyers like standups are just fads. -

Yes, we know that. This entire thread is about it. But the ride that is moving is X-Flight, not Batwing. -

"Rome wasn't built in a day". All we're saying is that MiA has the potential to be a good park if it gets alot of attention. And not the SF type attention of drop 4 roller coasters in. General park improvements, a few smaller rides building in size here and there. Give it a few years and you could be surprised. -

I never said that the park is going to get a $20 million hyper coaster next year. What I'm saying is totally getting blown out of proportion. And are you guys psychic or something? What with all these predictions that the park will NEVER get bigger, and will NEVER get more people? -

Umm, so a few people on an internet forum say MiA doesn't make enough money, so that makes it final not to get a steel roller coaster?? Cedar Fair will drop a $10 million steel roller coaster there if they think it will boost attendance. -

This is the first time X-Flight has moved. You're thinking of Stealth which moved and became Borg. And what's with the huge picture of yourslef? Go post it in the picture of you thread if you want, in this thread no one cares. -

You said that $750,000 was the cost to dismantle and rebuild the ride at PKI. That is a bargain compared to the cost of a multi million dollar new coaster. -

I think we're misunderstanding each other. I couldn't agree more that Wonderland could use a major blockbuster coaster. I'm just saying a good spinning mouse would be a great addition as well. It would definetly start pushing the park away from the quantity over quality thing they got going now. And really they don't have any more family attractions then other parks. -

Not really. They have a mouse and a Volair. That's really the only coasters that could be compared to a spinner. Canada's Wonderland would be a perfect location for a spinner. A family ride that still provides some decent thrills. -

That park WAS close to Blackpool. The park doesn't exist anymore. -

Mauer Shohn spinner would also fit MiA. Would actually fit most of the Paramount parks. -

Knocking MiA isn't because it has low attendance. When I go to a park I could care less how it's attendance figures are. Sure MiA has some good potential. However as it stands now the park needs alot to make it decent. I thought it was the most boring park I've ever been to. Very few decent rides, no scenery, and almost nothing to eat. Those are all very valid criticisms. Sure I see potential there, but it'll take a couple roller coasters, a handful of flat rides, and a bunch of food places to make it worthwile. -

And the fact that Steel Venom is probably going to be a 2008 attraction makes it even harder to guess. Because most likely the parks that don't get Steel Venom are going to be getting some sort of new ride. So what park gets the used coaster, and what parks get something new? -

It comes down to which way CF wants to go. They can send Steel Venom to a park that is hurting for rides. In that case they'd probably send it to PGA or MiA. Or they can send it to a well performing park, to try and boost the attendance of a park with much more potential. In which it would go to Dorney,PCW,PKD, or PC. Until track and supports start showing up in a park's parking lot it's anyone's guess. -

^ Yeah, that's the element I was reffering to. Though on the Togo that element is pretty slow, and not to rough. Trick track on wooden coasters taken at full speed are pretty much just there to rough you up. -

^ It's really hard to see in that pic though. One of the best examples are from one of the Togo standups at the Paramount parks. But I couldn't' seem to find a picture of the trick track section. -

Wonderland is a park that does nothing great, but nothing bad. None of their rides are actually bad with the exception of Tomb Raider. The park is average as can be. The difference is that SFMM is advertised and hyped as a thrill park. PCW is not advertised as such. It's a well run average park, that if developed properly could be a huge hit. And FYI that Arrow suspended is actually pretty damn good. The problem with PCW has always been the lack of competion. Their population base is about 5 million people, and the only real competition is Darien Lake or Marineland. Cedar Point perhaps, but that's 5 hours away. So the park ends up setting attendance records regardless of what gets built. -
It almost seems like really complicated flame bait. Like they want to provoke extreme criticism. Maybe even draw more people to the site via a big argument or flame war. Just seems odd to me that someone who is posting a comic which is meant to look like a 10 year old can't take some criticism. I mean if you're going for a "so bad it's funny" angle, then you better be prepared for the people who consider it just plain bad. Look at Snakes on a Plane. A movie which was made as a "bad movie". Some people will get it, some people don't (myself included). But I can assure you the people involved in that project were probably ready for the stream of comments that it was the worst movie ever made.

PKD just got Italian Job, so I don't really see it going there. Unless CF feels the need to over reward certain parks, which they have done before.
