You don't even have to buy your season pass at the park. Last time I bought a pass I bought the voucher at Maiers.

^ I'm pretty sure he was reffering to the canyon, and not the track itself. -
^ MF and TTD's lines however were bigger because they were the largest in the world at the time. They were huge draws. Maverick doesn't have nearly as much of a media hype going for it. It'll probably have longer lines, but I wouldn't think they'd be as bad as MF and TTD.

This years draft is supposed to be really weak. So high draft picks won't mean as much as they have in recent years.

They can sometimes be quite a bit more anal about loose articles. It's a good idea to plan on have no loose articles at all. Or at least cargo pockets to hold small items.

No line because it's a painful POS. -
As long as you don't mind living on a freezing cold rock with nothing to do.

Knott's Great America
Carnage replied to speedracer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That comparison doesn't work as well considering there is only one other park. Plus as far as I know Great America lacks a high profile chicken restaraunt outside of it's gates. -
Knott's Great America

Not everything is about KI. This name change is because of the "Great America" name being copyrighted. KI isn't going to become Knott's Kings Island. -
Anybody else watch hockey? (Amazing VID INSIDE!!)
Carnage replied to canada's topic in Random, Random, Random
I used to have the sports package and found it to be a total waste of money. (for me at least). I think it was like $30/month for me, and that included NHL,NFL,MLB,Nascar,NCAA,etc. I really over estimated how much hockey I was going to watch. As soon as my 4 month comitment was up I canceled it. -
^ If you could it would probably cost you way more then you would want to spend.

Ladies only swimming sessions at your Pool

Man talk about a low turn out. What if 20 teenagers show up? Do the two extra teenagers get turned away?? -
I wouldn't be arrogant enough to assume I know how to build a coaster betting then GG or GCI. Being a coaster enthusiest does not make you an expert on everything. Don't try and tell them how to run their business.

A shame? It would be even better then Pysclone getting the wrecking ball. SoB will never be a good ride, and it deserves to be burnt to the ground so that something good can be built on it's spot.

Execs from Cedar Fair read the forums, so posting copies of forum posts is probably redundant. Though they'd probably be curious why someone from England is so interested in a ride in Ohio.

SOB New Trains from Myrtle Beach
Carnage replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Part of that comes from the prefab track though. Put an Intamin train on a poorly built ride like SoB and it's still going to hurt a bunch. Though much less then those damn G-trains. -

Until you see a train on one of those inversions, don't get your hopes up. There's still plenty to do before full testing starts. Doesn't matter if it starts testing today or a month from now. You still can't ride it till May. -

From what I understand retracking it is actually cheaper than the amount to remove the ride. Buying used trains screams a temp solution. Maybe they want to keep it running for a year or two until they can get a decent coaster built. Burning SoB to the ground will make less of an impact in a year where there's some new big attraction. (and X-flight doesn't count) -

Carnage replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well I'd guess that the amount it would cost to make the ride good is more then they want to spend. So in the meantime they'll just spent as little as possible to get it running while they fire up the wrecking ball. -

What? How is any of that remotely true? I can see how heavy trains (Psyclone's B&M trains) can do that, but light coaches tear up the track? If anything, lighter coaches create less wear and tear on the structure. Exactly. That's the whole point of KI getting the lighter trains. It's a catch-22. Might not tear the track apart as much, but it will tear the riders apart. Hopefully they move the on ride photo so that people can buy pictures of them swearing in pain. -
Someone please give me some Vista tech support

It's also that most programs have not been updated to run on Vista properly.
