  1. I haven't been too excited about the coaster (and I'm not a fan of the name), but I must say it's lookin' good! I'm liking that color scheme. The ride already looks right at home in the park.
  2. Those Furious reindeer are adorable.
  3. Some have them. Some don't. Some of them are required only for kids (and may not fit an adult). I've also ridden one where they're required for adults playing the brass ring game.
  4. Taco truck Mexican food, including a tasty quesadilla plate.
  5. Jack in the Box. Definitely won't be eating there again (until the next time I do).
  6. ^YES! You're lucky it didn't happen to you during the ride. One one of my rides, I put my arms in a perfectly normal hands-up position at the top of the lift. Once the first drop started, my arm was trapped in a vice grip. It was so torturous that to say I couldn't wait for the ride to end, or for the restraints to be released in the station (which, of course, wasn't immediately), is an understatement. My arm was weak for at least a day. Has anyone else had that happen with a vest restraint?
  7. I feel compelled to upgrade my opinion of KFC. I had previously been unaware of Chicken Littles, which are perfectly edible. They got nothing on Chick-fil-A*, though. *I still don't know how to spell this. Apparently I can spell it now, but I had to Google the precise formatting.
  8. I have been to multiple countries to only ride roller coasters. Have you ever driven right by a theme park you've never visited (before or since)?
  9. I don't like the stress and uncertainty of gambling, but I like winning! Do you like to gambol?
  10. This. I might've actually enjoyed Takabisha, with its fairly impressive layout, if it had lap bars.
  11. Not bad, not bad. Looking forward to seeing a vehicle. I'd imagine there are abundant theming options, but I'd love to see a park go in a traditional direction with horses.
  12. A game on Steam...they're having a sale on "spooky" games. $2.44.
  13. I'm extremely impressed that you can recall this in such exacting detail. Oh.
  14. ^^I don't recall riding Timber Splash, but I always really like when water slides like that are in dry parks!
  15. Yes! They're supersexy. Have you watched Stranger Things 2 yet?
  16. ^I'm not interested, but that sounds perfect for the park. I'm happy about the Ice Jet addition, too.
  17. Those pictures gave me feelings that are not nice to talk about.
  18. I actually never knew that. :o The terms are generally considered interchangeable. That, and there are widespread disagreements on what constitutes the supposed difference--heck, people can't even agree on which is which within a definition. The other common stance is that a carousel is all horses and a merry-go-round is a menagerie (includes multiple species). But, yeah. They're the same. I'm glad, because they're both such lovely, evocative words.
  19. Ice Jet looks like a fun addition. I haven't ridden that particular model (Bertazzon Ice Jet?!), but I often favor the swinging versions of these rides (Chance Thunderbolt FTW). Corkscrew looks so much better nowadays.
  20. I'm intrigued by this possibility, and not necessarily opposed, because I'd have to assume those PTCs weren't doing the ride any special favors.
  21. 1. What is the farthest distance you've traveled to specifically visit a theme park? Japan 2. Your favorite coaster in the state you live in? Operating: Ice Mountain Bobsled. Future: unknown at Oaks Amusement Park. 3. Would you rather wait in line for a boomerang (at any park) or a VR coaster @ a Six Flags? A Boomerang at any park. 4. Have u ever been the only person in a train during a coaster ride? Infamously on Great White…and definitely other times that I haven’t bothered to track. 5. What is your favorite thing to do at your home park that does not involve riding something? Oaks: there’s this tiny cottage on(?) property with a large dog…the ballroom is also nice if you have a reason to go in, and the skating rink is cool even if you don't skate. EF: everything, since most of it isn’t rides. 6. Better time for ERT: Early morning or late night? Late night. Why is this even a question? 7. Name some theme park food that *sounds* gross, yet is oh-so-delicious? Hmm…I can only think of things that sound gross because they are, or sound delicious and are delicious… 8. Name your top three "bucketlist" coasters you have yet to ride. Not really officially, but I’ll just say Balder, T-Express, and Expedition GeForce. 9. Have you ever been E-Vac'd? Did you receive anything if you did? Yes, and no. 10. What is the longest length of time you've waited for a coaster? I don’t really keep track, but I estimate at least two hours, and not too much more than two hours. 11. Worst flat ride ever. Name it. Looping Starship 12. Your favorite SWEET treat at a park that is NOT your home park. Cinnamon bread 13. Congratulations! After aggressively gambling on the Plinko game you finally won a front of the line pass. Which ride do you use it on? Maverick 14. If you could have a lifetime fast pass to ONE attraction what would it be? Boulder Dash 15. Have you ever been next to someone that puked on a coaster? Ewww, no. 16. Your home park is getting a new B&M and YOU get to pick what type. Do you want an invert/hyper/dive/floorless/flyer/wing/standup? All of the above is not an option. Oaks: hyper Enchanted Forest: flyer But really it’s too hard to decide, especially for parks where: it’ll never happen, exactly all of the choices would make the park more well-rounded, and there’s zero chance that, say, a B&M hyper robs us of the real-life possibility of, say, an Intamin hyper. 17. Name your favorite Vekoma. Aftershock. 18. What water ride delivers the most unacceptable amount of wetness? Splash Battle 19. If you were able to help design a coaster would you want it to focus on airtime or inversions/positive G's? Airtime 20. Most comfortable trains/seats for a coaster are... Prior & Church trains are the best trains, but the most comfortable are probably Timberliners or something. 21. Choose one: Unlimited front-of-the-line access to your favorite coaster at your home park for one season OR $1,000 cash? $1k 22. You just got drowned by a flume/rapids/chute-the-chutes. Do you pay the $$ for the dryer machine or do you continue on with your day trudging around like soggy dog? I subject myself to the amount of wetness I departed the ride with, leaving it to subside naturally. Those dryers are cool (erm, hot?), though. 23. What is the worst food you've had at your home park? Starvation. 24. You're at Cedar Point. You have a one hour ERT session on ONE coaster of your choice. You choose... Maverick. 25. Favorite (non-clone) dark ride? Haunted Mansion at Knoebels. Yes, I’ve ridden many dark rides, and yes, it really is the best that doesn’t come with a label like “E-ticket.” 26. What was your favorite park you visited in 2016? 2016: Dollywood 27. What's your current credit count? Don't be shy. 614 28. Winner winner chicken dinner! You just won a trip with hotel and airfare included. The catch is its only good for Six Flags America or Mt Olympus. Which do you choose? Six Flags America. 29. What is the best Intamin coaster you have ridden? Maverick. 30. Your home park has to remove one coaster and one flat for an expansion. Which two rides would you be OK with losing? Enchanted Forest: Big Timber Log Ride and bumper cars. 31. Song/music you've heard playing at a park that absolutely has not business being played in a theme park? “Goober Peas” at Holiday World. 32. There's 5 minutes before the park closes. You choose to: Reride your favorite coaster in the park, OR get the new kiddie/junior coaster credit? If it’s a ride truly deserving of “favorite” status, reride. If it’s just the mediocre “big coaster” at a park with two coasters, get the credit. 33. Do you visit the waterpark if it's connected to the amusement park? No. 34. What 2017 addition are you most looking forward to? 2018: Steel Vengeance. 35. What was the most disappointing addition to your home park in the past 10 years? Oaks Park: Cosmic Crash, since it replaced the Lusse Auto Skooters. Also, Whole Pile of Nothing, since it replaced the dark ride. 36. The most overrated coaster ever is... I dunno; it usually makes sense why a lot of people like something, unless they're all fanboys. I’m not big on Bizarro(?) at SFNE, though… 37. What ride makes you wanna vomit? None, but the closest would be the Gravitron. 38. What is the best consolation prize you've won at a games booth? A big pink walrus. 39. And the worst? The small prizes from the ducky game, and the medium prize from the ducky game. 40. End this questionnaire by posting a description of your favorite light package (coaster/flat). On-ride: Lightning Racer at Hersheypark Off-ride: Windseekers

Do you enjoy Vekoma SLCs? Ride them but don’t enjoy them. Most of them belong in a garbage can. Great Nor’Easter is my favorite! 4. Name the first 3 coasters that come to mind. Katun. Great Bear. Millennium Force. lol 5. One park you would definitely never go back to is... Mt. Olympus is my vengeful and hate-spewing (yet totally deserving) answer…in reality, a more certain bet would be a kiddie park or something almost as terrible and even more boring like Clementon Lake Park. 6. Have you ever ridden a drop tower taller than 200 feet? Yes. 7. What is your favorite roller coaster? Top 3: X2, Maverick, Boulder Dash 8. When you go to a park three things you must have with you are... ID, way to get in (ticket, pass, etc.), and form of payment. No, really, I pack as light as possible—rarely anything larger than a phone, and sometimes not even a phone. 9. How many times did you visit your home park last season? Zero, zero, and zero. 10. The first Intamin coaster you rode is... California Screamin’. 11. Have you ever spent an entire day at a park alone? Yup! Come to think of it, not necessarily anything resembling a full day open-to-close, but I’ve definitely done a number of solo visits. 12. The independent park you go to the most is... Not sure I’ve reached a tie-breaker yet as far as visits since becoming an enthusiast. If I have any say in it, though, then Knoebels! 13. Does B&M or Intamin make better hyper coasters? If Mega-Lites count (yes, I know they don’t), then definitely Intamin! 14. If it was free, what upcharge ride what you jump on right now? Well for typical park ones, I’ve always been curious about the Skyscraper, but a Skycoaster would probably be more fun. For any upcharge ever, a SCAD tower! 15. What is the best food at your home park? Pizza. 16. The name of the worst GCI you've ridden is... Gwazi. [Checks CoasterCounter] Okay…or Roar East. 17. Name of the worst B&M invert you're ridden is... Dragon Challenge: Hungarian Horntail 22. Name your favorite steel coaster under 125 feet tall. Maverick 23. Name your favorite coaster/ride manufacturer? Last time I really thought about it, it was Premier…I think I’ll switch my vote to RMC. 24. What waterpark have you visited most often? Splashin’ Safari 25. The name of the fastest wooden coaster you have ridden is... Goliath 26. What is the name of the flat ride you've ridden the most? The Salem Riverfront Carousel 27. Name a ride-related injury you have suffered. Most proud of: hand-sized, many-colored, hideous, months-long bruise (and other bonus, also bizarrely ugly bruises) from the Coney Island Cyclone. Most alarming and painful: unbearable pain from my arm being trapped in a vice grip by a B&M vest for an entire ride, first drop to restraint release, resulting in over a day of weakness. 28. Name the most recent Arrow ride or coaster you've been on... It’s been long enough ago that I don’t remember. I could probably figure it out, but I don’t care enough. (It was probably at SFMM or SFFT.) 30. Name of your favorite ride that never leaves the ground (safari, train, bumper cars, etc) Merry-go-round 31. What ride makes you laugh the most? Joker 32. How many RMC's have you ridden? Seven. 33. Best flat that goes over 100 feet is... I don’t really pay attention, but probably a Giant Frisbee for me. 34. Medusa, Tatsu, and Banshee are my top 3. 40. Name three other forum members that will fill this out... Haywood Jablome, Seymoure Cox, and Imus P. Badleigh.
  23. ^Merry Mixer is a Garbrick Merry Mixer. It's definitely a bit weaker than a Scrambler. Sounds like an awesome visit; I can't imagine skipping some of those rides, but you don't have to do everything at Knoebels in order to have an amazing visit that feels complete. I still haven't ridden some of the flats that I always "figure I will someday," because their top-tier rides and rare classics are more compelling than some of their generic ones. Gotta love old-school train transfers. It's always a treat to see something like that in person.
  24. Yes. A Butterfinger ice cream bar, and some mint Moose Tracks for dessert. Can you parallel park?
