  1. Ah yes, always fun to do all kinds of crazy and random comparisons. Here's my top 20 and how they ended up: 01. Coaster - 32 02. Voyage - 6 03. Giant Dipper - 47 04. Timber Terror - 31 05. Evel Knievel - 24 06. Tremors - 17 07. Prowler - 12 08. Hades - 19 09. Legend - 41 10. Cyclops - 58 11. Tornado - 94 12. Hellcat - 26 13. Renegade - 18 14. Viper - 43 15. Coaster Thrill Ride - 64 16. Timber Wolf - 124 17. Cornball Express - 35 18. Raven - 21 19. Ghostrider - 59 20. Outlaw - 77
  2. Since I feel like being a looker-upper for some reason (being a nerd helps)... Leap-the-Dips was ranked 125.
  3. ^The Beast was ranked 52. I haven't ridden it yet and I'm really curious about what it will be like. I'm sure it will be nothing like the old reviews, but it seems like there are some aspects that should still be fun, like the tunnels and the woodsy setting.
  4. I prefer the look of the red car, but I won't be mad if it isn't permanent. Both designs shown look cool.
  5. Wow...I like! I actually hadn't even thought about what the trains might look like since I'm so used to it being a plain ol' boring ride.
  6. SCBB - 47, down from 46 in 2009 Belmont - 82, down from 81 in 2009 Not bad! I was really happy to see that SCBB Dipper kept a spot in the top 50. Fair enough for my #3 woodie!
  7. I noticed that too. At least it's still in a very good spot, and even ahead of some more-discussed rides. I doubt it represents a decline on Coaster's part, though. I'm pretty sure it gives a very consistent ride, as most if not all of the reports I've read about it have been very similar. Was I really the only voter who rode it last year?
  8. yes, i'm allways think corect spelling and grammer is important Have you ever corrected someone's spelling or grammar and later realized you made a mistake?
  9. I'm a bit sad I can no longer say I've ridden the best and worst wooden coaster, but Voyage's drop and Grizzly's climb (if you can call it that) were no surprises. And my experiences honestly do help me understand both changes. It was fun to see that I've ridden exactly as many woodies as the average voter, if you round down (35.1 vs my 35). Overall the results were fairly pleasing and unsurprising. I think the most stark difference of opinion I had with the poll is how I felt about Timber Wolf, but hey, even I found it really rough!
  10. Exciting! I of course will be there!
  11. Wow, Twister II looks really nice, too bad it isn't. I like the paint job and the layout.
  12. Nothing wrong with a permanent carnival, especially in such a beautiful location! Is that coaster pretty intense? Also, I really want ribs now.
  13. Thanks for the reports everyone; I'm eager to hear more! Sounds like this really will be a much improved ride!
  14. The coaster looks amazing and I appreciate all the effort they're putting into theming! I'm also looking forward to the big kitty cats. It will be fun to watch them run!
  15. I love the theming in these European parks! Great TR!
  16. ^Good to hear some official news on that. I was kinda hoping to ride it this year, but now I know I can't. Oh well, better to miss that coaster than any other! And now we know what the new Valleyfair kiddie will be.
  17. I also find it interesting to track my #1 favorite coasters over time. Steel 1st - Space Mountain, DL 2nd - California Screamin', DCA 3rd - Medusa, SFDK 4th - V2: Vertical Velocity, SFDK 5th - Aftershock, Silverwood 6th - X2, SFMM (current) Only Space Mountain and V2 are missing from my current top 10. That's understandable, since both were early credits for me. I may have two shuttles in my top 10, but V2 is just too simplistic to get that excited about anymore. Wood 1st - Timber Terror, Silverwood 2nd - Giant Dipper, SCBB 3rd - The Voyage, HW 4th - Coaster, Playland (current) Tremors may have held the top spot briefly as well. It took me a while to feel certain that I prefer Timber Terror.
  18. I'm not completely against on-board audio; I really like it on X2. But I wouldn't be surprised if I don't like it on Bizarro, especially after reading the above post. (I'm kinda hoping it'll be turned off or completely broken when I ride.)
  19. I got Final Jeopardy today! It wasn't my first time, but it was fun because I really had to think about the answer and didn't feel all that confident.
  20. Zero. These stories are interesting, but some of them are pretty disturbing!
  21. I still get hungry for carrots whenever I see Nickelodeon Streak.
  22. Fun! I love how Pinfari inverts made a showing, Queen Bee anyone? Apparently I've ridden about 22% of the operating coasters in the U.S., which may be a lot less than many people but still seems like a decent proportion. Although I'm very interested in branching out to other places, it's nice to know that there are so many opportunities for credit whoring in my home country!
  23. Last month I changed my avatar to support the Oregon Ducks. I'm trying to decide whether to change it again since it's a bit out-of-season, but I know it's no big deal.
  24. Happy Birthday TPR Forums! I'm happy to have been a member for nearly two years and counting!
  25. ^^How many sleeping pills are grape-flavored and dino-shaped? Well apparently the notion seemed plausible to me.
