  1. I was surprised to discover that the park has much more of interest than just a modest coaster collection! While I like all kinds of places, I have a special affection for traditional parks and classic rides!
  2. Big Mike, you made my night! How? Once again you uncovered a new credit I had no idea existed! I'll have to look into visiting Country Mercantile! Just so you know, Fun Forest finally closed this year...sorry. Windstorm joined a REAL carnival and I believe Rainbow Chaser is still for sale, so you'll have to hunt them down elsewhere.
  3. Wow! I love how well the train, track and supports all go together!
  4. I feel bad for everyone affected by this. I'm not sure why people thought they could get away with being so careless and thoughtless. Hopefully this will inspire others to be more attentive to safety.
  5. I am seriously annoyed that my local John's does not have a credit.
  6. Glad the park is apparently safe for this season. I think I'll try to make a visit.
  7. ^^You'd like to get him wet? Well, email him and tell him so!
  8. ^Yeah, I wish they'd do a northern show again sometime. I'll have to stalk them in SoCal. I love Butler, though!
  9. Sadly, it wasn't at the California State Fair in 2009. However, I did get to ride the wonderful, elusive Olympic Bobsled! Incidentally, it wasn't the safest ride I've ever encountered...
  10. Quicksilver Express!
  11. ^Agreed. I've wanted to ride this for quite some time. I've been to an RCS fair a couple times, but that's the closest I've gotten. Hopefully it will be like many rides and quickly return to operation.
  12. Kersplash! (Really, I just wanted to say "Kersplash!")
  13. I got a Trojan horse. Thankfully chadster told me how to send it galloping on its way! Bye-bye Trojan horse!
  14. ^Other than SCBB Giant Dipper, that is. Glad Ghostie is doing better, I found it rough last year but still enjoyed it. It has some good airtime and a decent layout.
  15. Zillerator! And I don't think a new thread would go over well now, although I'm not one to say for sure.
  16. ^^^Hey, it's the photo from the calendar! I might ride one or two of these this year, and I'm a bit apprehensive. The cars don't look fun at all! I've only ridden Bolliger and Mabillard flyers so far, and I enjoy them. Tatsu is my #5 steel and S:UF is around #27.
  17. I am more than slightly jealous of the Log Ride tour.
  18. I don't even bother with soda that isn't Mexican Coke.
  19. I just got back from howling at the extra-special fat-a$$ moon. (Note: not literally howling.)
  20. ^Not sure, but I can say I really enjoyed "Paper Planes" by M.I.A. and "Kids" by MGMT.
  21. I may or may not have slightly random tastes in elements. Oh, and I don't know or care if these are all "elements". --Vertical and beyond-vertical drops of any style --Cobra rolls, vertical loops, and pretzel loops --Series of bunny hops (American Thunder, etc.). So classic, especially when contrasted with twister elements! --Classic chain lifts on sitdown coasters, and flying coaster lift hills --Launches --Surprise drops (caused by darkness, sudden change of direction, timing, etc.) --Extreme headchoppers --Hills with stand-up airtime, and all great airtime hills --Overbanked turns --Intense helices (Goliath at SFMM, etc.) --Any drop or turn on a woodie that provides a great view of the lift hill and first drop (Renegade, Coaster, etc.) --Theming!!!
  22. Great job chadster!!! The report was highly entertaining and kept my attention very well!
