  1. I heard the latest Beetle doesn't have the flower vase, as it wasn't manly enough. I didn't care for the new look the very first time I saw it, but now I like it fine.
  2. I am very interested in visiting this park. GASM looks lovely, both aesthetically and ride-wise. And upon visiting, I'd probably pick up at least a couple new steel coasters in my top, say, 20 or 30, or maybe even 10! Seriously?
  3. Counting the full day in my time zone, here are some bits and pieces... I started off in TPR chat, where I saw and heard some things I may have preferred not to, but still had a good time. I ate a microwaveable pizza and then 6 cereal bars in a row. I spent a lot of time in bed...you can guess what I did there. (Correct guess is "sleep".) I ended up in a heated online discussion with a fellow coaster enthusiast.
  4. I didn't think the visual scan was funny or annoying at SFOT. But that video was comical.
  5. I like the theming, especially the plane! And the yellow loop doesn't look as bad up close. I don't think it's a terrible color; it just detracts a bit from the prettiness of the green. Looking forward to riding this quality stand-up!
  6. Slick Black Cadillac - Quiet Riot
  7. I just killed my computer again. Thankfully I have a new battery for it!
  8. I agree with most of your SFOT reviews, although I love their Batman and I also kinda like Flashback. I clearly missed a lot of Sandy Lake! But I did get to experience the legendary wolf mask, which was quite the fright! I'd love to return for a more complete visit at some point.
  9. I just might go try out my first StarFlyer in a couple weeks.
  10. MY TELEPHONE DIED.
  11. Thumpin' - Psychopathic Rydas
  12. Yay! I'm pleased with the results, and don't see anything surprising that I strongly disagree with. A lot of my favorites, even the less popular ones, are respectably ranked. Plus Dragon at Adventureland made a little jump! If you want to stalk my ballot, find "Laura". I am a complete idiot and managed to get four of my coasters thrown out!
  13. ^I might as well do the same! 15 Vekomas 5 Boomerangs 3 Roller Skaters 2 Giant Inverted Boomerangs 1 Corkscrew with Bayerncurve 1 Custom MK-700 1 Custom MK-1200 1 Invertigo 1 Suspended Looping Coaster
  14. I'm so glad I wasn't there during the walking of the giant bulls. Looks like it was an impressive sight, though.
  15. I'm so glad they're going ahead with this! And that I'm missing it by more than a year, so I'll be good and ready to go back. I like the name "Boardwalk Flyer"; it has a very classic sound to it. "Wildwoody" is, erm...funny. I wasn't a fan of the old "Pier Pressure" suggestion, but I do like the play on words. I would like to call it "New Greater Great White".
  16. Quassy and Oaks Park both used to have a Herschell Monster Mouse! [/random fact]
  17. Ha. I was within one minute, and two posts in this thread, of the winning post. And I wasn't even trying very hard, although I will admit I got a bit excited about the whole affair in the final moments. Congratulations, PAL!
  18. Did it happen? Edit: Yes, and probably in this thread. Congratulations everybody (especially the winner)!
  19. What a beautiful, scenic park! Looks like you were lucky with crowds. I'll try to plan a visit there soon. Love the teaser photos, looking forward to the rest of the update!

  21. It takes me only a few minutes to eat a roll of Thin Mints. Directly after consuming a full meal.
  22. ^Correct. It's right by Enchanted Forest, and the main coaster is gone now. Not sure if there are still other attractions visible. There are no other credits in Oregon, but you won't be too far away from some of the Washington parks. I personally enjoy both Oregon parks and can happily spend 2/3 to a full day at each, but they're not outstanding ride parks. Enchanted Forest has four major attractions: walk-through haunted house, shooting dark ride, homemade partly-themed coaster, and log flume with BONUS COASTER SECTION to qualify it as a credit. There are also a number of quirky walk-through attractions to take up your time, the major themes being fairy tales, English village, and Wild West town. Oaks Park is a traditional amusement park that currently has more of a permanent carnival feel. The compact looper and kiddie coaster are fun (to me, at least), but relatively generic. I recommend Scream-N-Eagle (their KMG Afterburner), Rock-O-Plane, Spider, and Lewis & Clark Great Adventure (very underdeveloped, but strangely entertaining dark ride).
  23. The longest I've waited was about 2 hours for New Texas Giant, starting at around 1:00 on its official opening day. Thankfully, the wait seemed quicker than that (glad I didn't go alone), and I was still able to credit run the rest of the park in good time. My next wait for it was less than an hour, and on a subsequent visit lines were significantly shorter.
  24. 1. (18) Renegade 2. (15) Prowler 2. (15) Boardwalk Bullet 4. (14) American Thunder 5. (12) Roar 5. (12) V2: Vertical Velocity 5. (12) Medusa 8. (10) Raging Bull 8. (10) Giant Dipper 8. (10) Coaster 7 out of 10 are woodies. 4 out of 10 are 4 of my 5 GCIs. 4 out of 10 are almost exclusively due to ERT (Ren, Prowler, AT, Bull). 4 out of 10 result from multiple park visits (Prowler, Roar, V2, Medusa). 3 out of 10 are largely or exclusively the result of non-ERT marathoning (Bullet, Dipper, Coaster).
