  1. The Jersey Shore really is great for a quick credit run trip like yours. Glad you had a good time!
  2. I'd say you succeeded in thinking of fun captions.
  3. ^But Rolling Thunder is so pretty! (Seriously, I kinda want it to stay for that reason alone.)
  4. 1. American Thunder 2. Prowler 3. Renegade 4. Lightning Racer 5. Roar 6. Wildcat 7. Apocalypse American Thunder is the only GCI I've ridden that delivered serious airtime. Prowler had the most intensity and a disorienting layout, plus some good airtime. Renegade also provided some fun air. The Lightning Racers would be mediocre alone, but the suspenseful and well-executed racing aspect is uniquely exhilarating. Roar had decent air, but has gotten rough. Wildcat has NO airtime, but the speed makes it somewhat fun. I need to try Apoco again; in 2010, I found it too short and lacking in airtime, but it was speedy, which I appreciate more than I did then.
  5. I like birch beer. Sometimes I get a little tired of it, but I can't go wrong with a cup or two (sometimes more).
  6. Same! Since The Great Escape didn't have an amazing coaster collection or many unique flats, I enjoyed spending my time on relaxing rides like Thunder Alley (a stand-out car ride for me), the slow skyride, the swan boats, and the train.
  7. ^Oh hell yes. It's so rare to find a Matterhorn run even remotely well in the US (of course, the best I've found was at a carnival).
  8. "Maryland Scorcher" does not sound right to me at all. (Don't ask why.) But that overall theme is fine by me.
  9. I absolutely love all the tracer lights at Hershey, especially on the woodies. It's all the more fun when I'm riding Lightning Racer and can look over and see the twisted paths illuminated for me, or when the lights actually make a ride seem slightly faster and more disorienting (as they were supposedly designed to do).
  10. I don't know what it is about Ragin' Cajun, but it's easily the most intense spinner I've encountered. Love it! Raging Bull is one of only a couple B&M hypers I really enjoy. But it was my first, so I fear I might like it a lot less if I rode it now. I liked the twisty layout and the bits of mild airtime throughout, and the first drop airtime in the very back is intense, although my front seat rides were way too tame for me.
  11. NYC photos are always fun! I love the quantity and diversity of the architecture there.
  12. Spot-on descriptions of our park experiences! Wooden Warrior really delivered, and Boulder Dash was an awe-inspiring adventure.
  13. I loved the atmosphere, customer service and mix of rides at Canobie. Great photos and captions!
  14. 13/20, or 65%. Fairly bad! I did come close to guessing correctly on some of the ones I got wrong.
  15. I wonder if "over-the-top" is meant to be taken in a literal sense (as "upside-down" might). I may be overthinking, but to me that suggests a Euro-Fighter.
  16. Count me as another fan of the Hans series. Great photos!
  17. Demon Drop at Dorney was a bit...unnerving. I was slightly apprehensive about the drop, which did scare me a bit. But the ride does seem dated and, well, clunky. Glad I got to experience it though!
  18. Love maps like that! States: 32 States visited in any way: 32 Coaster states: 19 States in which I have ridden at least one coaster: 19 out of approximately 43 with at least one coaster Link
  19. EuroQuiz: 15/20 AmeriQuiz: 19/20 19/20, or 95%, is my best score yet. And I was so close to selecting the right answer for the one I missed!
  20. Yes, my sure can keep a secret! Oh, and please let it be a coaster!
  21. Yes it is! I need to get my hands on it and listen some more!
  22. ^^I totally agree! Honestly, even "Hotel California" has meaning to me and is one of my all-time favorite songs. It doesn't matter to me that it's overplayed and cliched, and I don't care which, if any, of the numerous interpretations of the song are correct. All that matters is what it means to me.
  23. There is a tiny stretch of path at a park near my house where it smells exactly like an old wooden coaster.
  24. ^Little things like the NO RULES bumper cars?
