  1. EDIT: Too late... I thought that Python was the Schwarzkopf that still operates in Tampa (unless they decided to close it and melt it down) and Scorpion was the Arrow that was ripped out and sold for scrap. Dan - slow and confused - Nguyen
  2. Thank you for the comment... The names either... 1. Come to me randomly 2. Are ripped off from real rides. 3. Come from some sort of inspiration 4. Are based off of RCT rides that people post here and other sites Sometimes I have to sit down and come up with certain names for rides. And sometimes the names of the ride change. For example... This ride is named after the original Wabash Cannonball at Opryland This ride is based off of Maverick so I decided to give it a Western name (Outlaw). The coaster in the background (Millennium Dragon) is a combination of the names Millennium Force and Steel Dragon. Rampage just came to me randomly. This coaster (Grind) was originally going to be called Sky Fighter, but the name didn't really stick to the ride. All of these coasters have been posted on previous pages if you're interested in learning a bit more about them.
  3. Actually I meant moving the actual coaster to Williamsburg because the Oktoberfest area needs something Schwarzkopf. But judging by a previous post somebody made, the coaster probably isn't moveable without damaging one of the parts. I don't think New France has any availible room for a coaster without moving something. And I'd hate to see the log flume go considering it's pretty much the only original ride left in the park give or take possibly one of the Oktoberfest rides.

  5. ^ Thank you for the comment. I greatly appreciate it. Dan's Theme Park Artwork Part 6 The Timberlands Resort The Timberlands Resort is a resort built in the late 1800s. It began as a resort, but a spa, ski area, and nature trails were added over time. In the 1920s, the Resort opened a small amusement park which did fairly successful until Six Flags Over Northwest opened 30 minutes to the north. SFON advertised bigger, more thrilling rides and attractions that drew guests away from TL. TL had a tough time competing with SFON so they started by adding new rides. Normally when parks cannot compete with bigger, full-sized theme parks, smaller parks tend to go under. However in 1979, TL decided to go one step further and built the world's largest looping coaster, Loop of Faith. With an extensive ad campaign, thousands of people showed up for the grand opening and SFON began losing customers. Since then, both parks have been in direct competition. TL is known to have better atmosphere and SFON has been known to have more thrilling coasters. Both parks are highly successful and both parks provide thrilling coasters and excellent family rides. Sorry for making such a long-winded post. On to the pictures. Loop of Faith (Schwarzkopf Looping Racer) brake run with Air Raid and Plummet (Intamin Gen 3 drop tower) in the background. Industrial Hills section - Toxic Punge is a heavily themed water ride. Timberlands is a Pepsi park while SFON is a Coke park. Air Raid (Intamin Mega-Lite) is in the background. Windstorm is a heavily themed Intamin Impulse coaster. It is located in the Middle Harbor section of the park. Western Civilization area - It's basically a combination of the Old West and a modern American city. The B&M Invert is called Twisted Chaos and the Woodie is a GCI called Vigilante.
  6. Awesome! So we're gonna finally see Universal top off the coaster. Can't wait!
  7. ^ Well its from Wikipedia, so I personally wouldn't fully trust it. It seems a little late for a new for 2009 coaster though. Do you know when Austrailia's 2009 coaster season starts? Dan - Unbelievable! An Aquatrax and a B&M Flyer in the same season? - Nguyen
  8. Great pics! I wish my school had a parking lot ghetto carnival. The only Spring Carnival we had was a few carnival games and a lunch table. This looks like a Kamakaze. This is a Rockin' Tug
  9. Hilarious comments! Thanks for posting these. That hot dog thing was creepy.
  10. The buildings are an improvement. The rockwork on the flume seems kinda plain. Try adding some terrain around the flume so it doesn't seem boxy. Also add some windows on the large building on the coaster to make it look better.
  11. The detail on the bumper car building is incredible. Excellent work.
  12. ^^ You should definately make an MGA-style Tidal Wave sign to go with it. ...which would be a weird coincidence because the Gurnee Tidal Wave now operates as Greezed Lightning.
  13. Great pics, great captions I kinda felt sorry for SV though. SFSTl looks like a park I definately want to visit soon. Dan - Can't get enough of LSHoF - Nguyen
  14. I have an essay due tomorrow and I'm not even half-done yet. And yet I'm still posting on TPR. I hate having all this schoolwork.
  15. ^^ What about an Aquatrax?? Nobody said anything about CGA getting a B&M. Or at least I don't remember posting anything regarding CGA getting a B&M. I DO think I took this thread kinda seriously though. You've got it! EDIT: Man I need to post things faster.
  16. ^ No that's the park's sitdown coaster. If you look at the logo, the pic was taken sometime around the 90s.
  17. Awesome shot! The negative pic is amazing.
  18. ^^ Blasphemy!! Its not JUST a coaster, its a mysterious yellow B&M!! I heard that this park may be recieving a B&M Floorless next year.
  19. That doesn't mean the pattern of building two major coasters for the flagship parks cannot continue.. Gerstlauer Eurofighter or S&S El Loco anyone? Now let's rule out SF, and keep CF, which leaves us with Carowinds, KBF, CP, and CGA. Carowinds can get either the red track or the yellow, but considering their building trends, they may very likely receive the hyper. CGA is rumored to get a GCI but they could've changed plans. CP very likely they may recieve the yellow track as either a floorless or sitdown KBF is unknown... Do they have enough room for a hyper or a sitdown, floorless, stand up? KD - If the yellow track were to go to KD, it would be a sitdown. I have a feeling the red track will go to Carowinds, but it may go to KD as well considering their building trends. An Asian park seems to be a very likely contender as well.
  20. Page 3 of this thread There is one way we can confirm that it wont be an Invert. A piece in the background curves inwards and as such wouldn't work on an inverted coaster. The track piece actually looks like one used on a loop: Page 6 of this thread Page 7 of this thread Taken page 16 of this thread Taken from page 39 of this thread.
  21. This is the most updated list. PM me or reply to this post if you're interested. I'll eventually take the "extra" brochures off the list if nobody's interested.
  22. ^ Awesome! Because 1. The track is not invert track. 2. VF JUST recieved a major coaster not too long ago, which eliminates the chances of it getting a coaster. Last time I checked, the land clearing occurred a while back so if it were for a big attraction, it would be REALLY big. Now keep in mind, SF seems to be developing a pattern with building new coasters for the flagship parks. Two major coasters in a row for the flagship parks. Smaller parks receive various upgrades which may inlude new coasters, flat rides, and older ride upgrades. GAdv recieved the tallest, fastest coaster in the world, an Intamin woodie, a DK on top of a Medusa upgrade. (and you're calling MM spoiled?) MM is getting a major coaster (maybe a B&M prototype) next year. GAm will get something big sooner.
