^ Yes ^^ That looks like a literal pain in the @$$ to sit on. If given the choice to stand or sit on that, I'd choose to stand. Maybe because its hilarious.

Somebody needs to start a neon coaster game thread. I discovered this site after somebody on TN posted a link to the Fantazy Land thread and I've been hooked ever since. Every time I do a Google search on something theme park related, this site pops up more than once. That also helps bring people in.

[RCT2] Countrytime Park
netdvn replied to Xizor_Racer's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Excellent job on the scenery. The detail is awesome. The new water park looks great os far. The only negative I can see is that the park needs more Country Time. -
Gravity Group Announces "Timberliner" Trains
netdvn replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ I really hope you're right about this. I think GG should've gone the GCI route and based the design of their trains on an older type wooden coaster train or maybe modified the look of the PTC trains. -
I just watched the video today, and for some reason, I don't find this funny or sad. In fact he sounds a lot like a coaster/flat ride enthusiast who is obsessed with a 1001 Nacht flat ride. The way he describes the ride in a sexual sort of way is very similar to the discussions here regarding roller coasters and how we refer to them sexually. I didn't really see him lick the ride although it looked like he put his face to it in one scene. A lot of people with obsessions will act like this whether its video games, people of the opposite sex, sports, roller coasters, or even a 1001 Nacht flat ride. Although I couldn't help but laugh during the scene where he was watching the 1001 Nacht video and dancing to techno music similar to the Numa Numa kid.

Gravity Group Announces "Timberliner" Trains
netdvn replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm not a really big fan of the way the trains look. Especially compared to the GCI, PTC, and Intamin trains. They seem to look very Kiddie coaster-ish. -

Thanks for the compliments ^^ I've been thinking about going into graphics design. I doubt I'll be able to land a job in the industry because of my poor math skills and the fact that its extremely difficult to land a job in the first place. You can see more of my stuff in the artwork thread. I have about four pages filled with pics like that and many of them I actually did in school. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19001&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=260 Here's the link if anybody's interested. And I'll close with something I made in class a while ago. Back on topic. Disney ride -
Tele2 Insane, Intamin ZacSpin for Gröna Lund
netdvn replied to Loefet's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^ That would be great if you could post a PTR. I'm not a big fan of the Tele2 thing though. And how many Intamins do we need that are sponsored by cell phone companies that start with T. -
Gosh Its so hard to pick out which ones are good and which ones are bad because they're all so funny. Hunter reminds me of Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes.

Is it a dildo?? Seriously every time somebody guesses dildo, I laugh harder.

TPR and Theme Park Artwork
netdvn replied to sfmmFREAK's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Dan's Theme Park Artwork Teaser 2 ??? Whats this? A new coaster? Wait I thought it was a new park... I'll be attending the media event for a new for 2009 coaster and posting pictures here. I will either post the new park or the new coaster, which ever one comes first. The ride is currently undergoing testing right now. -
Mark's Postcard Paradise
netdvn replied to thrillerman1's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Decapitations??? Anyway, these postcards are amazing. Seeing all these defunct coasters makes me feel kinda sad though. I'll post whatever I've got when I can get my scanner back up and running. -
Expoland to close for good.
netdvn replied to Loefet's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ This is coming from a park with 7 white coasters. And keep in mind, the Japanese consider white to be a lucky color. FMP can use more lucky coasters. -

Same! Anything can be turned into coaster thoughts. Like oictures and shelves in a room, I connect them with a track in my head. Also in the car when we pass a field I will design a coaster as we go along the field. As we speak I am playing with my Ipod charger cable, trying to make a perfect loop! All these were done as a result of in-class inspiration. -

^ I thought all the WWW rides got sold, so the park doesn't exist anymore. FIXED -
Photo TR: Hanno's start to the 2009 coaster season
netdvn replied to Hhappy's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Those Legoland rides look really cool, but all the pictures you're posting is causing my computer to lag. The park has amazing theming and the expressions of the people on the Project X coaster are priceless. -
I just finished my Bio test, now I have to write an two essays, and finish taking my online ethics test and then I'm done!

Paradise Lost [rct2]
netdvn replied to ReadySetGo!'s topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
The park is themed to H3ll and I think it would be difficult to make the park less sad. You might need to cover the station buildings instead of just the track. Also I think you might need to change the terrain around the Schwarzkopf. I like the framework behind the ride. It looks awesome. I wanna see more of the suspended. -

Wires, cords, and long pieces of string make me think of coasters. Also riding my bike/riding in a car When I look at pinball machines or gumball machines I think of coasters as well. -
The Brochure/Map Trade Topic
netdvn replied to Reality15's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^ I'm interested in your... CP '98 brochure CP '03 brochure CP '07 map If you have any of the ones listed above, I would LOVE to trade with you. Here are all the brochures/maps/other stuff I have up for offer. EDIT: The red entries are currently reserved and are not up for trade. -
^ Interesting. Do you have any other info about it like pics and stuff? ^^ He told me of an old drive-in movie theater near James Blair Middle School (then High School), but not on the parkway. Hmmm. I talked to him a second time last night and he told me the park may have closed sometime before the 350th Anniversary of the Jamestown Landing and the remains may have been removed shortly after. He said that he would meet up with some people he knows and they may provide information, but if anybody here has any pics, articles, stories about this park, I would appreciate it if you could post it.

Hello all, In ethics class today, my Ethics teacher was talking about a segregated amusement park in Williamsburg located on Colonial Parkway, which served blacks only. It had a Ferris Wheel, Wave Swinger, one of those swinging gym rides, and a few other amusements. According to my teacher and an older student, the park closed a long time ago as a result of integration and was left to rot for apparently years before it was demolished. It is located on Colonial Parkway across from the large farm (if you've traveled down the Parkway toward Jamestown Settlement, you'll know what I'm talking about) I believe a small park and parking lot sits on where the park once stood. He claimed it was operating around the 1950's but I'm not sure of the exact date. Any longtime Williamsburg residents or amusement park history buffs have any info?
