  2. Well, since I'm making something like OD$10 million as CEO of Idylwild, I think a 30% raise is quite nice. (OD = Draconic Otherkin, the currency of choice on the planet that Idylwild comes from.)
  3. Sell SFMM to Cedar Fair. This works for everyone (except Snyder). Cedar Fair gets a huge park, Shapiro and Red Zone get a fat pile of money, Valencia remains a lovely place, and the GP get in for less. Repeat with SFEG, SFOT, and anything else Shapiro hates. If CF doesn't take it, Busch will.
  4. Small world. The Idylwild Inc. board met yesterday and decided to give me a 30% raise, because profits are up ($700,000 a week), advertising is going well, and we went 69 years without a Pinfari in any of our 27 parks.
  5. Three words. Strata Shuttle Loop. Uses the Rocket brakes for decelerating!
  6. I believe that Proslide is tinkering with a double tornado. It says so on their website.
  7. While we are on the subject of bad layouts... what park has the worst layout?
  8. I don't like the Roll-O-Plane. I have it, and it rotates too fast.
  9. They should do 13 hour marathons on all 15 working coasters (16 if you count S:TE, which I don't). 13 straight hours on RR... or X... ooh. 13 hours on X isn't a good idea.
  10. My favorite line: At SFNE, I heard someone ask the ride op for the Mind Eraser, "How do I get to X?" I couldn't resist. I said, "Head past Thunderbolt and leave the park. Get in your car and drive to Logan. Buy a ticket for LAX. When you get there, rent a car and drive north on I-5 until you see signs for SFMM. Follow them. Park, enter SFMM, and head left and across the bridge, and you're there."
  11. Codex Trainer? Where can I get it?
  12. How many are in the Japan trip so far?
  13. Slightly off the subject... I came up with a fictional promo for my 609 ft. dueling Intamin hyper (exa-coaster?) I haven't animated it yet... It goes like this. SCENE: Cedar Point; media day for Magnum. Voiceover: "In 1989, Cedar Point opened the first coaster to break the 200 ft. barrier." CUT TO: Cedar Point; media day for MF. Voiceover: "11 years later, Cedar point broke the 300 foot barrier." CUT TO: Cedar Point; media day for TTD. Voiceover: "And in 2003, Cedar Point opened Top Thrill Dragster, smashing the 400 foot barrier. Most thought that the next height record would be another launched coaster." (train launches) CUT TO: Kingda Ka opening day. "And they were right. In 2005, Six Flags Great Adventure opened Kingda Ka, a slightly bigger version of TTD." (side-by-side comparison) FADE TO BLACK. VO: "Well, that was fine and dandy, but a new monster is set to appear." (1 second POV clip of trains ascending lift) VO: "A ride so big..." (rapid pan) "...so fast..." (trains streak by camera) "...that only one will claim it." (Idylwild Heights logo) VO: "Welcome to a new level." (trains ascend lift; height meter climbs: 300... 400... 500... 600... 607. Pause.) "And this ride is like no other." (zoom out; 125 degree drop is clearly visible.) "The world's tallest, fastest, and longest coaster. And it duels." (Trains travel down first drop; speedometer goes to 150 mph.) VO: "Coming to Idylwild Heights in 2009: Saphira (saphira part of logo flies at viewer) vs. Thorn. (Same with thorn part.)" (Rapid transit of track; records show.) Tallest coaster on Earth: 607 feet. Fastest coaster on Earth: 150 mph. Longest coaster on Earth: 12,384 feet per side. Longest drop: 600 feet. Steepest drop: 125 degrees. Steepest overbanked turn: 127 degrees. Highest second hill: 463 feet. Most hills: 23 per side. Most airtime: 42 seconds per side. Tallest, fastest, longest dueling coaster. Most coasters at one park: 25. Most rides at one park: 97. Most steel coasters at one park: 19. Most track at one park: 45,238 feet. (trains enter station; freeze-frame.) (Words fly away from viewer: EAT THIS, KINGDA KA.) VO: "Saphira vs. Thorn." (fade to black) VO:"Go ahead. Take a seat. We dare you."
  14. It is supposed to drop the extra 10 feet. Now if it were to break... You would get 1.5 seconds (or so) of freefall and die.
  15. The "Zero G Roll" looks more like a "Super Corkscrew" (my term; I put one in every stand-up I make. (Come to think of it, every stand-up I make has the same layout: big drop, 150' loop, dive loop, Mantis turn, dive loop, non-inclined loop, turn, faux brakerun, spaghetti bowl with two corkscrews, second lift, Mindbender not loop, hills, loop, Super Corkscrew, turns, Bowtie, and maybe a barrel roll.))
  16. After the second lift, there is a boring straight section. The "terrain hill" is the same. The tunnels are nearly identical. The turn things are nearly identical, too.
  17. ^wants chips \/ thinks that my avatar is gut-bustingly funny
  18. Mine is self-explanatory.
  19. I didn't notice it until I saw an Ultimate video. Particularly the bit with the two tunnels... The segment between the first lift and the second lift was shortened... ah well. It's odd.
  20. Do any of you still have Loopy Landscapes? Okay, boot it up. Go to Katie's World (Katie's Dreamland) (it's a scenario in RCT1 Vanilla) and look at The Storm (the huge mine-train). Anyone else see a resemblance to The Ultimate?
  21. I probably will upload this as it is... I got bored with it.
