  1. HAHA...only in West Virginia. Come on, Olive Garden? This being TPR, we all know Carabba's > Olive Garden (by a mile). Seriously, do you really need to get excited about an Italian restaurant that isn't even that great? I'd be more excited about getting a Sonic Drive-In. -Bryan "my family is from WV, but I act like I don't know them" Wood
  2. What next, are you going to tell me Elton John's gay? Now all we have to wait for is the other four. This haiku puts it best: http://ravishingrickhaiku.blogspot.com/2006/07/in-case-you-are-as-blind-as-anne-frank.html -Bryan "making as many OBVIOUS references as possible" Wood
  3. Despite looking everywhere in the photos, I could not see any rising flood waters. Love the retro TR, thanks. -Bryan "I had some 'high waters' pants as well" Wood
  4. Because Cedar Fair was in full legal possession of the property at the time of the accident and because Paramount Parks had been maintaining the ride this year up until the sale. -Bryan "an educated guess" Wood
  5. Lakeside should hit up Costco then and stock up on the KY. It'll probably save them money in the long run.
  6. No doubt. It seems like most lawsuits against parks are frivilous. However, there are signs that this ride wasn't properly maintained/built, and it directly led to injuries. It's a legit lawsuit and I feel bad for the woman who fractured her sternum. That has to be awful.
  7. Although it really would take a lot for it to draw heavily from the Cleveland area, considering almost every Clevelander is nuts for Cedar Point.
  8. SwingShot is great. It's a ton better (and more powerful) than Knott's Screamin' Swing.
  9. Missiles can be another word for projectiles. While I'm not familiar with the dialect there, that's probably what it is.
  10. Yes, because CCI is still around and making quality wooden coasters. -Bryan
  11. Heck yes! Another convert to the PR cult. It's my second favorite hyper (Goliath at SfoG has enough to top it). The airtime is just nuts on PR. My girlfriend rode for the first time last weekend and couldn't believe how crazy it was. Also, her face on Jackrabbit's double-down on her first time was priceless as well. -Bryan "I love me some Kennywood" Wood
  12. SwingShot's cycle was longer than Rush at Thorpe? Man, that cycle must really suck! -Bryan "I liked Swing Shot" Wood
  13. Actually, today is the last day for it. They brought it in from July 7th to July 16th.
  14. You think they'd find a better way to approach Six Flags about the issue, you know, like signing the SAVE THE MOUTAIN! online petition.
  15. I'm a tool, so I go by 25's. I even try to plan them out to make good rides on the numbers. I didn't start keeping count until I was at 40-something. #1 Racer- Kennywood #50 Legend- Holiday World #75 Mindbender- SFoG #100 Talon #125 Big Bad Wolf #150 Raging Bull #175 X #200 Thunderhead Currently at 204...
  16. Glad to see cavemen are indeed still alive. Me thought they long gone. Shouldn't this be in the theme park forum? Anyways, LaRosa's is mine, too. However, it's not nearly as good as getting it fresh right from a real LaRosa's sit-down restaurant.
  17. I live in Phoenix for 18 months. I think it's worth the money once. Buy an all-day ride/golf pass and play lots of mini golf. Their arcade is actually really good. The log flume and Sea Dragon are great, Patriot is actually not that bad, and Desert Storm is tolerable and forecful if you ride in the front. The addition of the 140' Sky Diver (ARM/Larson Drop Tower) makes CnC worth a visit, as it's comparable to the Fabbri Mega Drop. I'll certainly take it over any S&S tower. It also gives some amazing views of Phoenix. Yes, the park has a somewhat ghetto feel to it, but I can easily justify spending a few hours there. The arcade and Sky Diver alone are worth it. -Bryan "I miss Sky Diver" Wood
  18. TOGO hates people who ride roller coasters. The end.
  19. But everyone knows you're a multimillionaire game developer who has tons of free time! -Bryan "sarcasm is fun" Wood
  20. First, Joe misses out on the UK trip...and now this? That guy has no luck!
  21. Step 1: Purchase a coaster wheel Step 2: Stick said wheel in your buttcrack Step 3: Complain to guest services about poorly maintained rides
  22. Don't forget a paragraph dedicated to how he grew up near SFGAm and he how wants to return Six Flags to the "glory days".

  24. Any park with a crappy Tilt-A-Whirl is a crappy park (save Hersheypark). Have fun with 10 minute dispatches on El Toro tomorrow...
  25. Yeah, Wes gets the gold for this one...here's my attempt: The inspiration: Midnight Club II cover ...the outcome... The inspiration...
