  1. That's pretty much exactly what I was going to post. Many people forget how outstanding Villain was in 2000. I was "GP" back then, and it was the one ride that really made me wonder how many "other coasters like it" exist out there. Then I became a coaster tool.
  2. My bet is that is that Joe loses a boob. He'll then have the tri-boob of doom.
  3. If anyone caught his apology on Letterman last night, you would see that he obviously regrets what he said. I don't think he's racist, I just think he used horrific judgment in a moment of anger. Many comedians have said that he's not done stand-up for long and doesn't know how to deal with hecklers. Obviously, what he said was absolutely wrong.
  4. That's awesome that you met Michael Cera. Have you seen any video clips of his deadpan-ish standup act? It's pretty good stuff. You would think there would've been a GOB sighting with those segway units there...
  5. So "Rob" has quadboobs, too?
  6. Rick Bjorkland is the one who recommended the County not renew the lease. His e-mail is here: rbjorklund@exposquare.com Please only write if you can put together coherent thoughts and please don't write a "sad and pathetic" letter. This guy obviously needs to hear from people who understand what parks mean to communities.
  7. That's not stereotyping at all... ...and it would've been 2 minutes at the most.
  8. http://www.guessthelogo.com/ This website asks you to guess the logos of popular websites like IMDB, Youtube, EBay, etc. Sounds simple enough, but it's pretty challenging. There's 10 logos, it is timed, and you are penalized 2 seconds for each wrong answer. My time was 1:21.87
  9. This is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. Thanks for making my crappy weekend better.
  10. I'm going to be "3-hole punch Jim" Halpert from last season's Halloween episode of the Office.
  11. My List: 1. Chattanooga, TN (REALLY?) 2. Tulsa, OK 3. Lynchburg, VA 4. Springfield, MO 5. Bloomington, IN 6. Clarksville, TN 7. Asheville, NC 8. Roanoke, VA 9. Cincinnati, OH (an hour from where I live) 10. Greenville, SC 11. Johnson City-Kingsport, TN 12. Rochester, MN 13. Topeka, KS 14. Overland Park, KS 15. Knoxville, TN 16. Louisville, KY 17. Duluth, MN 18. Grand Rapids, MI (no thanks, I'll stay out of that God-forsaken state) 19. Hampton, VA 20. Amarillo, TX 21. Lincoln, NE 22. Columbia, MO 23. Durham, NC 24. Sioux Falls, SD The list did pretty well playing off my preferences for mid-size cities. My Real List: 1. Raleigh-Durham, NC 2. Marietta, GA 3. Knoxville, TN 4. Columbus, OH 5. Greenville, SC 6. Charlotte, NC 7. Any mid-size town in Eastern PA 8. Any of the suburbs between Cincy and Dayton, OH 9. Indianapolis, IN 10. The "Illinois suburbs of St. Louis"
  12. Great pics and thanks for the report. They really did a nice job there! I love the "Serenity Now" sign.
  13. Norton's website has posted the ride list for sale. The following dry rides are REMAINING: Sea Dragon Tilt-A-Whirl (Geauga Lake's old Tilter) Scrambler Bumper Cars Their 1900's Marcus Illions Carousel will be auctioned. Some people might be surprised by this, but considering the Columbus Zoo has their own antique Carousel, I'm not. Some of the park's older water attractions are going, along with the wave pool. I'd expect a new, larger wave pool to go in, along with some new waterpark attractions plus a new dry ride or two. The Zoo will now spend $15 million to overhaul the park, it will be closed in 2007, but reopen in 2008.
  14. If you're looking for some historical looks at Hersheypark, buy "Hersheypark: Sweetness of Success" by Charles Jacques. It's full of nice stories and a lot of historical photos. It's a very well put together book.
  15. Hiro is definitely my favorite person on Heroes. He always cracks me up. This is a fantastic show and I really like the way it's coming together. It's right there with Jericho as my favorite new show this season.
  16. ...which is a great thing, because the ride was in sad shape when I rode it in August. Some scenes were covered up and the ride was too dark (specificallly, I could hardly make out some of the scenes and I have 20/20 vision). I'm glad Conneaut's putting this in their park, it's a logical fit. Where are they going to put it?
  17. I figured there are probably some Cold Stone fans like myself on here, so here's the info on the free ice cream....and while you're at it, make a small donation. Cold Stone Creamery® will host the “World’s Largest Ice Cream Social,” a fundraising event to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America and local chapters across the country. On Thurs., Sept. 28, Cold Stone Creamery stores throughout the United States, Guam and Puerto Rico invite ice cream lovers to experience the joy of ice cream at a nostalgic event that promises wholesome family entertainment, fun activities and lots of ice cream! Guests will be treated to a free 3 oz. serving of the Make-A-Wish® ice cream Creation developed by a young boy named Cole, age 10, a wish child from Colorado. Cole’s Creation consists of chocolate ice cream with yellow cake, chocolate chips and rainbow sprinkles. Between 5 - 8 p.m., customers joining in the festivities at any store will receive to a free serving (3 oz.) of Cole’s Creation, while being encouraged to make a donation to this worthy cause. Donations that night and all month long will benefit the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. WHO: Anyone with a love for ice cream and a heart for children can join the celebration. WHERE: Participating Cold Stone Creamery locations For store locations, please visit www.coldstonecreamery.com. WHEN: Thurs., Sept. 28, 2006 from 5 - 8 p.m.
  18. If he really tried to commit suicide, would they have released him so soon? They would've kept him for observation and mental evaluation.
  19. I wouldn't be surprised if they auction off the "dry rides" and the zoo expands the waterpark portion of Wyandot Lake. I remember seeing an article in a local business journal that they had set aside land for "expansion of the waterpark". EDIT: They plan on some expansion, which includes getting rid of some attractions and buying new ones. http://www.dispatch.com/news-story.php?story=dispatch/2006/07/07/20060707-A1-01.html
  20. I've ridden the roller coasters at Camden Park, so yes, I've had a "I'm gonna die moment" on a coaster. -Bryan "what a scary place" Wood
  21. The park actually is fairly boring. The only rides I care about there are the Flyers, Top Gun and Scooby dark ride. Everything else in the park is -meh- at best. Heck, when I went in April, Borg was already losing a lot of paint and showing it's "Stealth" colors. However, it isn't boring because the coasters aren't that tall... ...Surprised to see anyone wearing a NC State football jersey. I'd be embarrased after losing to a better team in Akron and having my coach make 100% inaccurate slandering statements about the team he lost to. What a classless moron. -Bryan "loves the Carolinas because of Cheerwine soda" Wood
  22. Another vote for Hungry Howie's! I love buttered cheese and cajun crusts! As far as regional pizza, it's super-hard to beat LaRosa's here in Cincy-Dayton. Provolone cheese instead of mozzerella? Brilliant! Little Caesars gets some love for their $5 hot-and-ready large pepperoni pizzas. -Bryan "I heart pizza" Wood
  23. Another thread victory for Wes. Seriously though, I don't know how much it will really help. Like Elissa said, there is a lot of things that drivers do that distracts themselves. It's a start, but definitely not the solution.
  24. As long as my money is good, count me in! -Bryan "haevn't been to PPP since 2003" Wood
  25. No Will tonight...perhaps Paula will let us know when it will air. Perhaps they were just taping the segment today for a later airing?
