  1. From what I remember, it wasn't even really music...whatever it was, it was loud and un-clear. Is the loud volume turned back up again?
  2. Florida! That'd be the perfect idea for good close by parks. You could hit all the Disney parks, both Universal parks, Sea World and BGA if you're willing to make the 1.5 hour drive. Old Town, a smaller park with some good flats is also right over there, and if you love animals and credits Wild Adventures is only about 3 hours away, in Georgia. If you only want to hit a couple parks on your trip, Virginia with KD and BGE pretty close by would be a good idea, as well as San Antonio with SFFT and SWSA.
  3. That's really bad that the speakers are already destroyed, but I think completely removing the theme makes no sense. The theming makes the ride IMO.
  4. I'm vegetarian and I've greyed out before on a few rides, but I think that's due to my motion sickness. Do you have motion sickness?
  5. The Dark Knight at SFNE (and no, not Batman The Dark Knight).
  6. ^ That's true, I'm mainly talking about the "500 ft. tall Intamin coaster/record breaking coaster". I don't think SFMM needs another one (or even wants/is thinking about another one!)
  7. Six Flags wouldn't try to make the park more family-friendly if they thought it'd make them go bankrupt. I'm not saying they'll never add anything thrilling again, or shouldn't ever add anything more thrilling. I just think for a while they should focus on family rides/flat rides. I was just at Disneyland last weekend and of course there is a huge difference in the crowds, but I still notice a big improvement from SFMM. I don't really expect it to ever get like Disneyland, but definitely better than Knott's. Just think. SFMM, with all the amazing thrills they already have, family rides, and a flat rides. A good well-balanced park. Or... SFMM with again, amazing thrills, that keep getting built on top of each other and around each other, a bad crowd, and...small amounts of families.
  8. I really don't think a big new record breaking coaster will do SFMM much at all. Sure it'll bring a lot of people in, but not families which their aiming for, more like the line jumping teens. And with more of them, you're driving the families away...and just adding more big thrills, just like the early 2000's. With a new family ride/family coaster/family flats, you're bringing in the families, and possibly driving away the line jumpers/bad crowd that SFMM used to attract, and if not, hey, you get their money too!...unless they break in somehow.
  9. I know SFMM gives out free ice water, and so does Knott's, Disneyland, etc. I wouldn't think SFGAdv would be any different.
  10. Very nice pictures. I really like the one with Maverick flying past the fountain.
  11. Yes! I definitely agree. SFMM needs flat rides! Their current collection was pretty bad, and it got even worse just recently when they removed even more of their flat rides! I know this has been said before (and probably half the time by me) but I'd love to see an Intamin drop tower somewhere in the park. On top of the "Magic Mountain" would be very cool, and if not there I can see one squeezed into Colossus County Fair or where Freefall is (unless the 2010 coaster goes there and there isn't enough room for both). I can see some kind of flat ride, Drop Tower or not, coming to the park either in 2010 as a small addition with the coaster, or/and in 2011 for their "major" attraction (possibly...more than one?) I'm not even a big fan of flat rides. I rarely ride them at amusement parks, but I think SFMM definitely needs some, it'd fit in well, and it would make the park more balanced (and depending on the size, it could even help the park be more family friendly).
  12. According to rcdb.com both are called a rollover. I've ridden them both and they do pretty much feel the same, except one is on a B&M...and the other is on a vekoma. Anyways these pictures are great. I really hate how Medusa's first drop isn't nearly as awesome as it looks.
  13. I think a mega-lite would be great for KD. That is my guess for this coaster. A hyper-coaster pretty much eliminates any chance of the ride being family friendly for a gp family. A mega-lite on the other hand, does not look nearly as thrilling (even though it probably is) and could in a way be looked at as not too scary for anyone scared of coasters going to KD. It'd also take up less room (even though KD has a ton) giving KD more room for future expansions and it'd probably be better (rating-wise) than a hyper-coaster anyway.
  14. ^ So sad. What is it about Hangman that is so un-SLC-ish? Same with their Boomerang...
  15. Sure I can. They bang your head around so much, you're bound to forget some things. Then T2 must be pretty bad to ruin the experience for you...too bad, SLCs are a part of life... amusement park life.
  16. Even though Kong was on my roughest coaster list, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it'd be. I've ridden it two times, both at different times of the year, and both rides were okay...lots of headbanging but the restraints are very padded so it doesn't hurt, and you can't forget the great SLC layout that SLCs have!
  17. Boomerang at KBF, Ghostrider at KBF, Desperado at Buffalo Bills, X2 in an outsidse seat (inside is actually smooth) at SFMM, Viper at SFMM, Hurricane at SCBB, Kong at SFDK, and Jet Star 2 at Lagoon. Even though I love most of those rides, they love banging your head back and fourth (except the ones without OTSR's, they just like to throw you around).
  18. Flight Deck Probably Deja Vu, Xcelerator, Speed Monster, Air, and I though Batman: Knight Flight was pretty cool, but Dominator isn't bad either.
  19. I chose Busch, because even though I've only been to Sea World San Diego in the chain, it really looks like they have the best parks from looks/reviews/ratings.
  20. Sounds like a fun day, but what was wrong with your X2 ride?
  21. Awesome pictures taken outside of the park. Too bad you missed Batman. How long was Deja Vu's wait?
