I've been reworking my way through the Harry Potter books and movies in anticipation of the Harry Potter celebration at USO next month and then Diagon opening next year. Watched Goblet of Fire last night for the first time since I first got it on DVD and man did they butcher the story. The book was just too long to fit everything in, but they didn't just cut things, they completely reworked a great number of scenes. It's always been my favorite book of the seven, but the movie is probably only top three in the series.

Well this week is going to have a huge range of wait times. Are you visiting NYE? Because, you're gonna be packed in like a Tokyo subway. Are you talking next Sunday? Because that's gonna be your best bet, though I wouldn't expect the wait for Transformers to drop much below 100 minutes this week. There is always single rider, but even that may be ugly for a good portion of the week. I wouldn't go in expecting to breeze through most of the popular attractions in both parks in one day, but you should still find enough to do without wanting to stab too many other people.

^I think you need a little more than just Guardian. This is a dark ride not another B&M. Have to set the ride up a bit more.

Quick poll: How long does everyone normally spend in each park? For me IOA has always been about a 6 hour park, whereas USO has always been at least a full day. I often hear that people prefer Islands to the Studios, but I can't figure out why.

Ohh, I forgot about The Way, Way Back. Very cute little summer flick. What were everyone's Golden Globe nomination snubs this year? I have to go with Tom Hanks, for sure. He may not have disappeared in the role, but he did such a great job portraying Walt. When the credits rolled and they showed pictures of the real premiere, it was a bit jarring to see the real Walt. In a little over two hours, Tom Hanks had made me forget what the real man looked like, because he became Walt Disney.

Anyone on here try the special Outlaw Run Habanero frozen drink? I was all set to try some, when the employee in the cart advised me against it. She gave me a sample and all it was, was frozen lemonade with flecks of Habanero pepper. They made a big deal out of it in their park newspaper, so I was wondering if anyone ordered it and had a different experience.

Saw Anchorman 2 and Saving Mr. Banks tonight. This might be the only weekend this entire year, where a movie about Walt Disney was the third movie I'd see. Thought Anchorman was decent, very similar to the first one, but the "News Station Battle Sequence" in this one was a real treat. 7.5/10 It was no This is the End or The World's End. Saving Mr. Banks was outstanding. If you are a fan of the man, the parks, or the company, you owe it to yourself to see this one. 9/10 Little slow at parts, but the ending was beautiful. I'd dump the barrel rolls on Outlaw Run. This is the only part of the ride I found uncomfortable. Not a huge fan of hang time and the speed at which these are taken just doesn't work for me. They had to have them to sell the ride, but I would have preferred another hill or two.
