  1. What I'd love to see added to the park in the future: -A Powder Keg clone, seriously every park needs one of these. A lower budget, 42" height minimum, high-thrills coaster. -A set of 4 Aqua Loops, the ones that actually go upside down, none of those cheap helix style slides. -A couple of HydroMagnetic Hornets just to complete the trifecta, lol -The long lusted after Mega Light. -A Tantrum or Bowling Alley, or better yet, a Topsy Turvy from ProSlide. Maybe the kids version right next to it. -Both Fascination and Bingo Halls added, because "why not both"? -A Splash Battle near Girrafica to further alienate that section of the park (I kid, I kid, haha) -And lastly RFID tickets that allow me to empty my bank account with a swipe of my wrist, and let HoliDog know my favorite princess and which bathroom I just used. All to better enhance my experience, right guys? EDIT: And I think it's great that there are two parks, in Holiday World and Universal Orlando, that have enjoyed great success by investing in new and unique attractions. Both of these parks/resorts have been consistently plussing their offerings which has really drawn in the masses, and in turn allowed them to continue to invest in new attractions.
  2. That's a shame. I'd probably wait in the line more often if I knew I could see a random jumper penguin! They do it with Peacocks, why can't they have Penguins running around free?
  3. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but my lord is Google Maps' view of Holiday World outdated. This has to be pre-2006. No Voyage, Wildebeest, Mammoth, or PP.
  4. They just finished it last week, how can it already be ready to open?
  5. Sorry to misquote you. Guess I didn't "remember correctly," lol.
  6. If you can't get an answer on here, I would bet you could call one of the West Coast parks and maybe see if they have an answer for you. Worth a shot atleast.
  7. Looks like Cedar Fair is winning the Ride Sign Battle this year. This one is very plain, and not a in a striking, majestic way... The ride itself looks badass though!
  8. I'm not sure about a B&M themed to Transformers, but I do remember reading about a mega coaster being one of the many rumored projects for the possible Jurassic Park expansion. ...Though I wouldn't hold my breath on that happening. Yeah I know I've seen several rumors about different Mega Coaster projects, I just thought it was interesting that it was on a table with only Transformers related models.
  9. Noticed a model of a B&M Hyper train sitting on a table next to many models for Transformers the Ride during the Today Show Broadcast. Looked like the old school (new school?) 4 across seats. Wonder if they were originally planning that for the Transformers franchise.
  10. About time, wonder if they will release all the details or just announce a Simpson's themed expansion coming soon. They're filming the Today Show there in the morning, so I would expect a big announcement. And based on the fact that the restaurant side of the expansion is almost done, I would lean towards a full announcement.
  11. Leviathan was announced in August 2011, so I wouldn't put that timeframe out of the realm of possibility.
  12. Harry Potter and Spiderman are the only reasons to choose IOA over the Studios, but since you are going in July, Transformers will be open. This should balance out Spiderman. If the seniors aren't into coasters, you can knock out Hulk, Dragon Challenge, and probably Dudley and FJ, which really only leaves Spiderman, Popeye, and Jurassic Park in terms of main attractions. Removing coasters at USO still leaves you with T2:3D, E.T. Men In Black, Simpsons (with its new fleshed out land), and Transformers. FJ and Mummy being the two wild cards in terms of medium level of intensity. I also prefer rides like Despicable Me, Twister, and Shrek, to Cat in the Hat, Poseidon, and Sinbad, but that's just me.
  13. 60 rides on Wild Thing two years ago for Coasting for Kids .
  14. If I remember correctly, they decided against the 8 person rafts, though I can't remember if that was a logistics things, or if they were just satisfied with the absurd capacity they were already getting.
  15. Isn't the story that Dumbledore has opened his school for muggles for a day or something similar? If so, I don't see why traveling there and back in a train would be a problem to the story. So what, they would just say they canceled the one day visit and "thanks for taking the train across England, but you have to go all the way back home".
  16. Besides the obvious issues with capacity, how would they fit a round trip into the storyline? Tell you the school is closed and you have to spend the school year at a Muggle school? Just time travel thru the entire school year? Not that a lot of parks wouldn't just do this, but not with J.K. Rowling in charge.
  17. Link for those interested: https://www.livingsocial.com/deals/670798-busch-gardens-insider-tour Thanks for sharing this, I'll definitely be picking this up for latter on this summer. Question though, has anyone done both of the tours available? Just wondering which one would be more fun.
  18. There would literally be protests in front of the park.
  19. ^ Was poking around some other forums and supposedly the plot of JP4 will involve Jurassic Park actually opening to guests. This would tie in the games better to the theme of a Dinosaur Theme Park. That being said, I'm getting the vibe that these games may just be around so that the land isn't completely dead when River Adventure goes down for its refurbishment. Not that they'll remove them once the land is complete, but that they'll provide some life to the island during construction. If I had to make a complete guess, I'd assume the games would open this fall or next spring, while the River Adventure would close around that time and reopen the fall of 2015, before whatever else they are adding to the Island would open the summer of 2016.
  20. Great to see the Big Man back at it! If I may make a suggestion for hitting those last few Minnesota credits, the largest state fair in the country takes place in MN the last two weeks in August. The place is easily large enough to spend an entire day at with a midway larger than a lot of amusement parks along with a good sized Kidway, and the food is several notches above your average fair. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minnesota_State_Fair Most MN schools aren't back in session at this time, but none of the parks here really get large enough crowds to have to worry about anyways. Would be a great time to knock out those last few MN coasters, as well as a few rides on Renegade, Wild Thing, and the new TMNT ride at Nick Universe. I'd be happy to lead Big Mike on a grand tour!
  21. Went last year, Wed and Thurs, the second week of June. Crowds were manageable, still bought Fast Lane both days. Queues broke down about as follows: TTD: Regular-45-60, FL-10 MF: Regular-60-90, FL-5 Maverick: 45-75, FL-15 Raptor: 30-90 (Vist later in the day, the ride gets flooded for the first three hours of the day), FL-5 Magnum: 30-45, FL-5 If you get Fast Lane, there's really no point in going for early entry. You'll have to wait in the regular lines, so sleep in an extra hour.
