  1. Sounds like we won't see any new installations of the SB Great Pickle Adventure. Sad day! See it's funny because SpongeBob did all of that work to get the pickle back, only to find out the guy was actually allergic to pickles..
  2. This! I love the GCI style twisting drops on Steel Coasters. Hopefully one day we'll see a Steel Coaster with a drop like Renegade!
  3. Did you end up getting a Re-Entry Pass when you were evacuated? I'd have to imagine they would give those out, otherwise they must have had a few hundred pretty upset guests.
  4. Not to sound like a creeper, but I may or may not be Facebook friends with the Dad of the kids. Cough~Show Director~Cough
  5. Doesn't really sound like a complaint here. I've always wondered how this park manages to stay open during the winter months. Seems like it's always a "Ghost Town" during the offseason.
  6. Year round operations help. The Knotts hotel doesn't hurt either.
  7. He's a stilt walker. Universal's said you'll find him in all of the rooms with high ceilings. Should be epic!
  8. You like that thing? Looks like a knock-off you'd find in a Stacker Game.
  9. Wasn't it an Animatronic? What is pretty bad?
  10. I think it's crazy the number of people that are canceling their reservations in order to "Honor Walt's Wishes."
  11. There appears to be some construction on their FB page. Not sure if this is what you guys are looking for, but it's something. Posted Sept. 5th
  12. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that's just the Scare Zones. Mazes can have up to 40 people a piece.
  13. I got my Pile of Poopoo in the mail today; lovin it! A lot of the stuff is from parks I visited last year, which is great because now I have brochures and maps from two years in a row. Thanks again Chadster! A Huge envelope arrived today. All of this was (barely) stuffed inside. Really Excited for FOUR issues of Pathfinder. It's a really good read! And lastly, more tickets to add to my ever-expanding collection. Thanks again!
  14. I'm thinking no, but Google is turning up some spotty info off the PassPorter Boards about one in The Living Seas back when the film came out. Don't quote me on that accuracy. I think it'd be cool if they had Meet and Greets in DAK with the puppets from the FN show. Give guests a chance to see them up close. But alas, that would ruin the magic.
  15. Aye, that be Sonny Eclipse, Astro-Organ extraordinaire and your in-meal entertainment at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. "Hello all you Earthlings, my name is Sonny Eclipse"
  16. Looks like TPR's wishes have been answered. Alcohol will now be served in the Magic Kingdom: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2012/09/storytelling-through-dining-at-be-our-guest-restaurant-in-new-fantasyland/
  17. Did someone say Tri-Bosomed Show Girl?! I'm all in for the Chick Prisoner Chainsaw Drill Team, Badass!
  18. Umm, Cedar Fair... Being a business that directly relies on their customers cash. Obviously it's not going to drag down the company, it's just kind of an ass-backwards way of running things.
  19. Disclaimer: Once again, not saying I'm disappointed in the announcement. Why piss their FB fans off though? Yes, we as people who follow every update might have known what was coming, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that this campaign would end up pissing people off. You can't blame the FB fans, it's a given they're gonna be stupid, but after a few years of Facebook, parks still haven't figured this out. It's my opinion though that none of this hype was needed. They run so many Radio/TV ads and put up so many billboards for these chain wide, it'd be impossible for anyone not to notice.
  20. ^I didn't say don't hype the announcement, just do it in a way that is either gonna A. not piss anybody off, or B. give yourself a way of saying "we already said it won't be huge new coaster". I guess I've just never understood the "Any publicity is good publicity" thought, when it comes to enraging guests.
  21. Maybe not "Thrilling" for you, but for families with kids, plenty thrilling. My kids are out of this age range but I still think it's a great addition to the park. I am in a family with kids... I've taken my 5 year old sister and 7 year old brother out to Valleyfair's Planet Snoopy a dozen times in the last two years (not everyone here is a complete coaster boy). We'll usually take a spin on the monorail, maybe ride the swings, and take a kiddie coaster lap. There is nothing "Thrilling" about any of this. And suppose you make the argument that it would be thrilling for kids in the <3 category, they definitely didn't allude to that at all. It's not that I was expecting something massive; this is what I had thought the whole time, it's just the way they went about hyping it up. Why even go in a direction that is gonna piss people off? Why not say we've got a huge new family announcement to make right off the bat. Still do all of the FB hyping, just don't fool the idiots out there. Trigger- "Planet Snoopy is the best addition at my home park in years" -Nel
  22. Normally I feel for the parks and all of the crap they have to deal with on Facebook, but they really had it coming this time. They used the word "Thrilling" to hype the new area. That's just asking for trouble.
  23. Hopefully this doesn't allow them to cut down on the frequency of shows, and hopefully this brings us closer to an overdue refurb of the whole show.
  24. For being a normal, one train loading at a time coaster, Expedition Everest will blow your mind. I believe really bad things (curses and zombies) happen if they aren't sending trains out at extremely quick intervals. You will not see a Vekoma run that well anywhere else. Disney really does have their operations down to a science.
  25. Not quite sure what you're getting at here. The park has entire Pixar land with one attraction. It seems almost inevitable that they would add more to this area. If there is a park that could use some more Pixar, it would be DHS. As far as the complete overhaul of the park, I would be more than happy without Carsland. My best case scenario for a major refurb of the park: ~Lucasland with some sort of Indy dark ride, whether it's an E or D ticket, an exhibit all about Lucasfilm and ILM, and the Mos Eisley Cantina. ~The Monsters, Inc. Coaster ~A redone Great Movie Ride ~A C or D ticket based on either Up, Ratatouille, or Wall-E ~Redone Magic of Disney Animation exhibit that focuses on Pixar. This could be a really cool set-up with John Lasseter and the characters on screens interacting with a real Cast Member, ala Disaster. Allow guests to sketch a Pixar character, ask questions, and interact with someone that has 3D animation experience. ~Retheme of the HISTK Playset to A Bugs Life. This park really doesn't need as much help as DCA did, I would think a budget of even half would be more than adequate. EDIT: The Backlot Tour would have to be replaced with one of these, I just don't have my bearings around DHS quite yet.
