  1. It would fit well, but I don't see how that would help round out the park. Inside Wild Things turnaround would be a better fit anyways.
  2. Valleyfair needs a kiddie play area for the waterpark, a new coaster with a 42" height requirement, and a new maze to help with the insane crowds last year at ValleyScare.
  3. I see then, lol. We have two FlowRiders up here in the Twin Cities, a Junior and a Double. Sadly only the Junior has season passes, but it's enough to work on tricks. Carving is a bit difficult on that one though. I've been using it work on the 720 on knees. Got the 360 down pretty good. Anyone got any tricks they can do?
  4. I'm not aware that any of the Boomerangos or Half-Pipe slides have a weight limit that low.
  5. Not sure what you're getting at here, but I do believe the same would happen the first time you attempt real surfing. You're landing on a trampoline, it's not uncomfortable. Get yourself a pair of sliding shorts, get your feet set, and don't let go of the lifeguard until you're in a bit of a rhythm. Flow Riders are one of the best and most reride-able theme park attractions out there. Perhaps if you attempt it more than once you could work on your balance and learn how to just step off the board or fall on your butt if you get the wobbles.
  6. I'd be more concerned about the fact that they weigh probably a third; they'd be thrown right off the slide. So in conclusion, on a mid 90's on Monday, the dry park should be dead the whole day, the water park will be pretty crowded, Mammoth and Wildebeest will have hour waits with the rest of the big slides around 20-30 minutes. Sound close?
  7. VF doesn't need anything that drastic, and MIA's seem decent enough. The rest of the midwest CF parks I agree with you on though.
  8. As of this year, CP does have the wristbands, but VF does not. I've been using my 2009 cup at VF with no problems. No problems getting the Gold Pass refills either.
  9. That's fine, not the biggest fan of Wildebeest anyways. Give me Black Anaconda any day! I'll probably do the sprint to Mammoth, and maybe hit it at the end of the day. Hopefully that means the dry park is even less busy than years past. So has their plan to manage the lines backfired on them? Thought the whole idea of putting in a higher capacity version was to pump the people through the line and away from Wildebeest...? Will we see another one for 2013? 12 person boats? Thanks for the response!
  10. Going next Monday, not too worried about the lines for the coasters, but how has Mammoth affected Wildebeest's lines? Are they both averaging about the same amount of line length? Does 30 minutes for each sound reasonable? Looking like a hot day.
  11. How I Met Your Mother The Office Bizarre Foods Tosh.0 Top Gear Can't stand The Big Bang Theory. The humor is so forced, it's like watching the Disney Channel. I miss The Hard Times of RJ Berger, and Secret Girlfriend.
  12. I don't know how familiar you are with Mazes and Haunts, but they are generally pretty low capacity. Continuously moving dark ride vehicles move a lot faster than terrified teenage girl legs.
  13. You'll get great floater in the back, but nothing more. Don't expect to be thrown from your seat.
  14. Spent last Wednesday and Thursday at the park. Stayed in BreakersEx and had Fast Lane both days. Well worth it. Maverick was great usual. Didn't get a chance to do this, nor did we really want to... Fast Lane was amazing! Seriously we were skipping 1+ hour lines, waiting one to two trains. It worked especially well on MF and Maverick, dumping you directly into the station. Raptor, TTD, Magnum all had merge points that still only resulted in 10-15 minute waits. Gemini's was a bit odd, definitely not ADA, but it cut the wait quite nicely. If you don't get this on your next visit to CP, you're crazy! MF's new lights looked outstanding. Sorry about the light pole, this is a friend's photo. One of the things we were most looking forward to on the trip was Luminosity! Here's an overview of the main stage area. As you can see, we came dressed for the occasion. Thanks Goodwill! Here is the control booth. Flames, lasers, and Fireworks shoot out of the top of this. It was a bit odd though that they placed the drink stand behind it, way out of the way. One of the four screens they had set up. More lasers and fire. PT's lights looked great in the background. Things got pretty crazy! The dancers were very talented. The male lead singer had a very Adam Levine style to him. The female lead had a good soul sound to her. She was able to decently handle a few Adele songs. The show ended with a bang, no really, there were lots of fireworks! Then the stage opened ana a DJ started rising... He continued to rise, to about 20 feet in the air. This started the dance party that lasted until about 10:45. Much fun was had by all. We got a shout out on the screens! #YOLO In other news, I paid $9 for this. Pink's is another great addition, although the employees were a bit meh. Check it out on your next visit!
  15. Shout out to Tom at CGA. Congrats on being #1!!!
  16. The new SB store looks fantastic! Bums me out when I see the stores at Nick U; they just don't stack up.
  17. My all time favorite water ride is the Splash Battle at SDC, 100x better than Indiana Beach's, Dollywood's, or SFGAm's. Flume Top 5: 1. Splash Mountain-Magic Kingdom 2. Splash Mountain-Disneyland 3. Journey to Atlantis-Sea World Orlando 4. Dudley Do-Right 5. The Log Chute (Nick Universe) Rapids Top 5 1. Grizzly River Run 2. Kali River Rapids 3. Popeye and Bluto 4. Dollywood 5. Holiday World
  18. Just saw the video posted on Screamscape. Great interview! http://screamscape.com/html/water_parks.htm#CowabungaBay
  19. Alright, dragging this waaaay back from the dead. Lets see who's got this. Give three different names Cedar Fair gives to their waterparks. Difficulty: 4
  20. Super Psyched Now! Model is looking fantastic. Looking forward to seeing if you tackle Train or Station next.
  21. Chadster, do you guys have other Caribou's down there? They're a MN based company, and not surprisingly, Valleyfair will also be getting one. Glad to see the prices aren't too much higher than outside the parks.
  22. Is that the Russian dude with the furry hat that you see everywhere? Not my cup of tea at all! Anyone seen Six or Jeerk? Now that was the stuff!
