Hey everyone. I am looking to get a digital video camera. Any advice using these guidelines: - It will be used to film at theme parks mainly - Will not be used for still photos - Not a Sony (a personal thing) - Does well in low light (think Disney dark rides or Fireworks) - My maximum budget is $600-$700 Any advice would be wonderful. Thanks!!!

This was on the TMZ front page: A very sad end for anyone, let alone someone only 32. -

Favorite Crowd-Interactive Coasters
monsterfan99 replied to PKI Jizzman's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It seems almost any Arrow coaster with a corkscrew works here. Superman:Ultimate Flight at SF Great America is great as you fly towards the queue line on the first drop. During the ride you cross over then 2-3 more time as well. Raging Bull might be my favorite as you walk under the ride in the queue as the coaster roars over you. Even better is as you exit Viper, the tunnel to the first drop is right under you. Hollywood Rip, Ride Rockit also falls into this category. People in and out of the park get a chance to watch the ride as well. -
I agree with this. I have not been to WoF (or Silver Dollar City for that matter) but love SF STL. In that last year I've made the trip down there 3 times from Chicago and loved every visit. I actually prefer ST STL to SF Great America. The park has an odd charm about it where it feels more cozy then small. Evel Knivel and Mr. Freeze are great coaster well worth re-rides, The Boss got better after some off season work to it, and lines are never too bad there. It is well worth a visit there at least once.

Most Overrated coaster?
monsterfan99 replied to BlackWidow's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Truer words have never been spoken. Morning ERT during Ride Warriors Weekend was ok at best. The night rides on it were the best I've ever had on any of the coasters I've ridden. -
How hard is it for the UPS to knock on the door? I was in the kitchen (where the apartment door is) and he chose not to knock. Then again, this is the same moron that left packages outside when then required a signature and told me 4 months later he might have lost them.

We are not a truly free country, never have and never will be. Weed really is a thing where taxes and the Republican's core voting base are the only thing keeping it illegal. The biggest hurdle is people will not pay more (aka taxes added on) for something that they already use illegally. I look at it like illegal music downloads. People did it to begin with because there was no easy way to get the music onto a computer. Then the songs went online for a decent price. However, it has not stopped most people from getting songs illegally mainly due to the fact of "why pay for something we were getting for free" idea. One thing people bring up is it will decrease crime. Apparently everyone missed the mobs continuing to flourish after prohibition ended. All it will mean is the people making $$$ off weed will move to something else. The only crime it ends is people going to jail for using. I don't use, never have and never will. However, I've seen an almost infinite amount of problems with alcohol compared to weed. I honestly could care less what they do as it will mean nothing more then A) getting tax dollars or not and B) big companies getting bigger. No law has stopped it so far.

Underrated Coasters?
monsterfan99 replied to Yero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^The Boss was miles better this year after some track work. The helix are still the helix of death, but the ride is fun now. My biggest underated coster right now is Cornball Express. The ride gives stand-up airtime in the front and just fun overall. A close number 2 is Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at WDW. It's not mind blowing, but it is a very fun ride. -
^I agree 100% with the dippers. One I forgot was parents who will not take their kids out of line/out of a show to change a dipper. In August, I was at a finale show for The American Idol Experience. The family next to use (about 10 people all together) had a child dirty a dipper before the show. During the entire 45-50 minute show, I got the "joy" of smelling it while the mother told people off that were angry (people were as far back as 4 rows were complaining.) I get you waited for a show, but tough. You have a kid, take care of them.

For season passholders (both of CP and chain wide platinum pass) it was free. You got everything except the drink wrsitband. If you wished to buy it, it was around $4 and worked for both days. For non-SP holders, it was over $60 but under $70. They do check for your club membership card. Also, if you were a guest of a member, you still had to pay the full price for the weekend even if you had a SP.

I love my 360. The main thing for my love is the ability to play movies by USB. This is huge for my K-1 kickboxing collection. I still have my 3rd PS 2. My first two died, with one catching on fire. That alone is why I will not get a PS3.

The Criterion Collection of The Third Man on Blu-Ray for $32. Amazing I was able to find it new in a store for that price, as it is OOP and sell for nearly $50 online.

^Last year was the first 2 day event, so it was new to them. However, ERT on Friday night was beyond awful. They had 30-45 minute waits for Magnum and 45-60 minutes for Maverick because they were not ran together. They chose to do Magnum first, then open Sky Hawk during it and then open Maverick as Magnum ERT was ending. We skipped Saturday morning ERT for because of the stagger idea (although I was told it was ran better) and did Saturday night ERT. It was Blue Streak and Raptor. For Blue Streak, it was crowded but no more then 3-5 train wait. Once Raptor ERT started, it was walk-on the rest of ERT. We ended ERT with 12 re-rides with plenty of empty seats. People just could not do 6 am ERT with the biggest coasters (MF and TTD) then ERT at 10:30 PM for 2 coasters that had small lines(walk-on in the case of Blue Streak) during the day.

Odd move they choose to go head-to-head with HoliWood Nights, but oh well. Hopefully the park learns from the mistakes made last year with ERT on Friday night. I was dreading the awful lines at the Holiday World event, but this should put an end to that fear. Should also make finding a hotel/camping easier for people this year at both events.

What Roller Coaster do you wish was in your backyard?
monsterfan99 replied to Mastersax68's topic in Random, Random, Random
Lets go with the coaster formerly known as Laser at Dorney Park. This is due to living in an apartment with no grass in site, let alone a backyard. But there is plenty of 2 hour parking.
