Ride You Felt Was Unsafe?
alilstronger replied to Mr Stratosphere's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I LOVE this side, but every time I ride I am sooo scared something will happen. This is the actual one I get on at Ocean City, MD's Jolly Roger at the Pier amusement park. -

I can not say I agree or disagree with these shows the involve animals. What I will say is when an animal has had a past with attacks or violence they should not be used in these shows. They can still get the tender love and care they deserve behind the scenes where they are not being made to perform. Now some animals love the attention be it dolphins, seals, dogs, cats, any animal and for them animals I do not mind the shows. This goes to show that these animals still have animal instincts and they will act on them when they feel the need to.

Ride You Felt Was Unsafe?
alilstronger replied to Mr Stratosphere's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Batwing (Six Flags America) - It has a shoulder restraint for each arm and one that comes to your waist to hold your legs in becuase it is a "lay down" coaster. Mid ride once one of my shoulder restraints came totally lose. When I was back in the station I told the operaters and they did nothing about it, they just kept using the train. I stayed there and watched them for a few minutes to see if they would do anything. I then went to customer service and told them about it. Mind Eraser (Six Flags America) - This is a suspended coaster and once my restraint came lose by two clicks. I was terrified. I am so glad that is one that has the seat belt as well to hold the restraint down if it comes lose. Two Face: The Flip Side (Previously at Six Flags America) - I was not on it but at the park when this happened. Its a suspended coaster boomerang coaster where you face each other (kinda like Deja Vu). Mid ride one of the wheels broke and you heard this loud screech. Luckily the train made it back to the station safely. Six Flags America does not have a good reputation here in Baltimore. The park is just a tad too ghetto. I think EVERY roller coaster should have a manual seat belt to hold down the restraints or go across your waist to hold you in. -

I usually go to Springtime in the Park every year. A lot of years they open the entire park. Least from my experience. -

Can't wait for it!!! -
I really miss Two Face: The Flip Side. My friends and I used to get on there to make fun of each others faces and to be loud and just laugh together because it was the only coaster around here where we could all literally sit and enjoy a coaster together while seeing each other. Yea, there are coasters where you sit 4 or more abreast but they are not like this kind where you can see and talk to each other. Also I miss Iron Eagle. I know this ride caused lots of headaches for the park. I just LOVED this ride and I miss it. I too also miss Krypton Comet. I also know this caused a lot issues as well. I just think its an all around great ride. At one time the enterprise was a big ride around amoung amusement parks and carnivals but now they seem harder to find in my area of MD. So I do miss the SkyEscaper a lot, especially since Hershey got rid of theirs too. This ride was taken out before Six Flags bought the park but I miss Curving Dervish as well. It was a Bayern Curve ride type.

I will admit I love The Real World. I know its the same thing every season, they get together, love each other at first, then sleep together, fight, and make up by the end. In reality though doing a show like that can impact you for the rest of you life. You do not know these people and in this manner you will really learn who you are as a person. My favorite cast members this season are Callie and Emily. I feel like I can relate to them the most. I have been through the interview process. It was actually to be on this current season. They do group interviews and you really have to stick out.

I chose the Cedar Point one first with the north east one second because I can not afford to travel over seas for a while. -

I loved the awards last night. I will admit I have never really watched them before. The show seemed to flow very easily to me. All of the performances were decent. My faves are Lady Gaga/Elton John, P!nk, and Lady Antebellum. Beyonces in my opnion was just OK. Nothing special about it. I think that they should have gotten Rihanna to perform. I just think she deserved it because he new album is so strong. As well as Britney!! She sould have at least been nominated for song of the year with Womanizer or Circus (SORRY just a HUGE Britney fan and supporter). Also they should have gotten more up and coming acts to perform. I mean Ke$ha's Tik Tok is everywhere! I LOVED the Micheal Jackson tribute. Celine, Carrie, Usher, Smokey, and Jennifer all looked wonderful! It just goes to show really how he influenced all kinds of music.

Coasters at Night
alilstronger replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Heck I will ride any coaster at night but some of my faves are: S:ROS - Six Flags America - there are no lights on the track past the lift hill and the coaster is in theback of the park so there is nothing around it. It makes it kinda creepy for me. Nitro - Six Flags Great Adventure - Again its in a part of the park where not much is around it so when its in the back its really dark. Kinga Ka - Six Flags Great Adventure - Just feels awesome at night Grizzly - Kings Dominion - Its all in the trees so at night it adds to the thrill -
I am 24. My first wood coaster was the newly named Ghoster Coaster at Kings Dominion. It used to be called Scooby-Doo's Ghoster Coaster. My first steal coaster was the Sooper Jet at Trimpers in Ocean City, MD. I know its a tiny coaster but www.rcdb.com counts it as a coaster. If you are getting technical then my first steal coaster was Miller's Gold Mine which was at Jolly Roger in Ocean City, MD and is now defunct.
