You need to do it on your terms. I can not relate to you but I can understand how it feels. When I came out my family was 100% behind me. My mom at first understood what is was and was hesitant but there was never anger or hatred. She said I am her son and she would always love me no matter what. I never told my dad but he knew. See my parents were divorced and I was never close enough to him to tell him.

Following the incident Odom wrote the Tennessee park asking them to "implement policies that are inclusive of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people; conduct staff sensitivity training; and issue a public statement indicating that the park is inclusive of all families." Good for her! Dollywood said they'll reach out to her and her wife Jennifer Tipton to discuss the issue. I am sorry - I was not sure if I should add this to the Dollywood thread or make it, its own.

I love the idea but $50.00 is a lot of money. It does not seem like you are getting much for that except that you can walk right up to rides. With these line skipper options at parks a lot of them have a designated seat for this. It sucks because it is always in the middle of the train and I usually only sit in the back seat or the front of a inverted. With the ones that do not have a designated seat you have to live with the dirty looks you get from the people i n line. Plus now a days with the violent world we live in you have to be sorta careful these people you "cut" do not come after you if they see you in the park later in the day. I live right near Six Flags America and we hear all the time on the news about people getting into fights fighting over parking spaces, fighting over line jumping, and verbal altercations of all kinds.

Awesome update! I went to Waldameer for the first time back in May. It it such a awesome park. It is not huge but it is extremely well taken care of, VERY clean, and the staff were awesome!

This sucks! It is going to make going tomorrow bitter sweet. I'll look at the pool and tear up a little.

I just wish they would be honest and state they are taking the ride out because it is a mechanics nightmare. The ride has never ran a full summer without breaking down for part of it. Sure it breaks down less now that it does not go backwards anymore but that should not be any excuse. They did not need to remove this to put in any coaster. This park has so much land and they would rather squeeze something in this space instead of putting it some where so it looks nice.

I love this ride! It is kinda boring - but I LOVE flumes. All of my friends used to hate going to the park with me because they knew that I had to get on this ride and almost none of them liked it. It would have been so much better if they would have made the tunnels more themed or had scenes like in Pirates in DW. Heck at halloween time they could have had people in the tunnels to scare you. I was very upset when they stopped the ride from going backwards during the first drop. YET AGAIN we are getting something removed from this park with NOTHING going in. This is going to put a big hole in the park. It is not like they need room for coasters. There is soooooooo much open space in this park. This park has LOST so many rides over the last few years and it sucks. I know they are getting 'new' slides this year - but in reality all they are, are the ones they used to have re done and re themed. It has been years since this park has gotten a coaster and that sucks.

I read through and I do not see this ask - sorry if I missed it. Did anyone go to Hershey this past weekend for the first weekend of Springtime in the Park? I want to know if the Sideinwder is open with the new trains. I e-mailed them and they stated it is a possibility but they were not certain. I will be going this Saturday.
