  1. there is a time lapse video of the construction on youtube made out of the webcam pics:
  2. ^ how could i forget this beauty in the first image think you are right, what i like mostly about the pictures is the frozen look of this two coastertracks
  3. ^ sorry not Intamin, it`s a Mack WaterCoaster. By the way, two pics from the freeced and nearly completed splash machine http://www.djurssommerland.dk/index.php?id=325:
  4. there are some new pics on the official homepage http://www.djurssommerland.dk/index.php?id=325:
  5. there is a video from the LED wheels i postet some weeks ago, the first time this will be used is at the launch coaster at bayern park germany, so because i think the most of you missed it, here again is the video(maybe sometimes you should better use the search function, like the admins everytime remember everyone that something has been postet before ) :
  6. on their building blog (http://www.bayern-park-coaster-blog.de/) they showed a new feature for the ride from Maurer&Söhne: LED-Wheels here is the video: this could look really cool on photos which were shot at night.
  7. About the speedup, like DubaiD. said: I`m sorry that i started the discussion.... i just mentioned the speed because i`m was so impressed, that i just want to underline that it looks nearly unreal, how fast this thing goes. Never wanted to start a discussion about this. So to end rumors completly: I`m proffesional VisualFX-Artits and MovieCutter for commercials and movies in germany and i really can say, this is after i looked on it a second time nearly for sure 100% normal playback time: The audio is just asynchron because of a missing little piece in between the two shots from the launch (maybe they only had one camera and launched the train just two times). There is a part of the launch missing, that part which shows the middle of the launch section. I would do the same cut, if i just had shot the videofootage out of two positions, and in the editing i would delete the middle part were you can´t see the train to get a nicer result. And because of the second part is filmed from a wider distance , i don´t think they got a good spot for audio from there. So i would take the sound from the first perspective/camera and put it under the complete scene, too. I just would have cuttet the sound too, so that it fits perfectly to the shown material, and no one of you would ever have recognized it, but maybe they are semi-pros So the only thing that wasn`t correct in that video, is short amount of time from the middle of the launch were the train speeds up, but the speed of playback looks correct, just add in your imagination half a second of launch time were the trains gets to the final speed, that you`ve seen in the video. Hope my english is understandable.
  8. i don`t know if this has been posted before, but i haven`t seen it here.... so here is a video on facebook in highquality from the launch: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=449991033116 if this video isn`t made faster then this will be insane
  9. ^ thx my fault... but they need the record, too. Hope that it will not become a deserted place, because the coasters and rides look really impressive.
  10. I read about the brakes a long time ago... it has many times been told in the last years, (can´t remember the sources) that it is just launched with highspeed and then braked down to a lower speed to take the rest of the course, like ring racer on the nürnburg ring! So don´t hope that the ride will take the complete course with world-record speed, its just for the record (because Dubai everytime needs records to get the worldwide press reports) and then slowed down.
  11. i wondered that know one talks about it here, but in german forums is video were you can see the flooded coaster from the "hermine" storm at the time 0:34 (hope you can view this video from the US!): http://www.bild.de/BILD/video/clip/news/vermischtes/2010/09/09/tropensturm-hermine-texas.html hopefully not to much is destroyed! i take a picture from the report if you can´t watch it: Source: http://www.bild.de/BILD/video/clip/news/vermischtes/2010/09/09/tropensturm-hermine-texas.html
  12. another nice testing video, directly filmed beside the launch: http://www.56.com/u77/v_NTI4MzAzMzg.html ...the launch and the tophat were really looking awesome!
  13. There are rumors that the god old rough lady "EuroSat" get a refurbishment over the next years. So i found a nice offride video in a german forum in which i think you might be intrested in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tU3CzlpvAY4
  14. i didn`t find a better thread, were this video fits but i know you like "nautic jets" so here is a version with a round course! I`ve never seen this before, would you count this as log flume or coaster!?:
  15. Tomorrow it seems to open for the press - maybe for the public too! photos from the testrides from http://holly-info.bplaced.net/:
  16. They opened their building blog http://www.bayern-park-coaster-blog.de/, every week they will reveal more elements of this coaster till september the 12th. The building starts on september the 9th. Here is the actual picture: source: http://www.bayern-park-coaster-blog.de/ They even have some records on this coaster! It`s Germanys coaster with the most rollover elements and it has the most rollover elements on a launched coaster worldwide... if it`s true what the parks ad campaign said.
  17. found a link to a report in a german forum that might intrest you: Source: http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_562418.html
  18. So that the trackwork is now complete and they began building the theming for this coaster! All pictures were from http://holly-info.bplaced.net/04august2010.php: and two small ones from the official park homepage http://holidaypark.de/park-attraktionen/hollys-wilde-autofahrt/bau-blog/:
  19. One guy in german forum, shoot a photo from this notice: source: http://freizeitparkweb.de/cgi-bin/dcf/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&forum=DCForumID4&om=7798&omm=11&viewmode= i try to translate it: Cobra coaster, out of buissness! Dear costumer, we make some changes on the attraction at the moment to make the ride more comfortable. We hope for your understanding. Good decision, because everyone says, it could be a very good ride if the shaking wouldn´t nearly kill you. It has nice and extreme Forces and airtime. One newspaper said that it has forces till 5.5 G`s... so if they really get it smoother maybe it will become a hit for the park. At moment many people said the coaster was most time very empty and all people that came out of the ride had a face wreathing in pain. Nearly no one wants to ride it again. So if they get this fixed maybe it will become ah nice little gem... hope so
  20. So, it seems that Exp.GeForce is opening in the next days or weeks! A new or refurbished train arrived at the park and there is a sign that it will re-open soon. Some rumors said that the park doesn`t get sued because it was a material defect. What i complain about the "HolidayPark" is that they till now, don`t give the public an answer what exactly hapened. But i am really looking forward to ride ExpGeForce soon
  21. and another new offride video is now aviable, but it seems that it is really rough. Most people said it is much rougher than the most SLCs in the german forums... very sad to hear this, beacuse it seems to give nice g´s and airtime on the hills:
  22. ^^ i also just heard reports, that said that it is intense and fun, but like said it has good portion of roughness in all directions, even though it is linear coaster where you don`t exspect bumps to left and right sides.
  23. ^ Sorry there is no information about this, as much as i know. Maybe they changed the train because of the German-TÜV or maybe the first trains were just for testing or something like this... But found something new, a youtube video with the opening show from cobra with a ride on fire (fireworks on the whole track during the first ride)!! Really awesome, i wish i was in that train at this time:
  24. there is a german report of the opening (http://www.20min.ch/news/ostschweiz/story/Erste-Schweizer-Achterbahn-mit-Looping-13730206) which shows the new train! source: http://www.20min.ch/dyim/17f46d/B.M600,1000/images/content/1/3/7/13730206/4/topelement.jpg
  25. what i noticed on every big accident is, that everytime the operators heard some strange noises, than stopped the ride, checked it shortly and then started it again.... (Mindbender, Disneyland,Exp G-force) what i don´t understand is that the parks even till now doesn`t advice their operators that they stop the rides, till they have found the reason for the noise, even if they have to do a complete inspection of every screw and bolt on the ride. Especially because the operators know what their rides sounds every day and if it makes a strange noise, even just for a short time, its an sign for a collabsed material or sth. like this. A ride doesn`t make a strange sound for no reason!!!!! This is what they should be reminded everyday. In my opinion every deadly accident could have been prevented if the park really stops every ride when it makes strange noises and controll it till they have found the reason for a noise and fixed it and i think the most parks in germany work after this rule. hope so
