hmm... don`t want to disappoint you but there is an artwork from the EP which shows trains! but i know...this is still an artwork and it don`t have to present the final trains and it seems like they used the trains from "troy"(like in the trailer), if you want to compare you can look at one pic from troy here http://www.freizeitpark-welt.de/freizeitparks/toverland/fotos/2008/troy06.jpg source Europa-Park: http://presse.europapark.de/standardseiten/aktuelle-nachricht/datum/2012/01/23/der-europa-park-in-stichworten-8/ EDIT: and some new pics from http://chris-space.net/?incvar=bilder.php&path=news/2012/2012_01_30/ some track-parts get their metal rails: -

there are two different sources... the official europa-park homepage still says it will open with the beginning of the season, but the man who writes the blog answered in the official EP-Fan Forum, that they were suprised by themselves when the architect and the construction supervisor said it will open at this date. And he mentioned that they send their blog report to the officials of the Europapark to let it it check and get the permittion to publish it. So maybe it's a correct date here is the original post from the blogger from http://www.ep-board.de/die-neuheiten-2012-2013-f42/2012-wodan-timburcoaster-t5342-s1640.html: and the google translation: -

The center bar on the track will serve as an upstop. You`re right that the center bar will serve as upstop on the first drop... but if you look closely on the photos you can recognize that the last part of the track seems like it has another part of track installed, which looks more like the one from the Mack Watercoaster... So i think they will change the track after the drop, because the center bar looks to small to work for strong forces in curves... it will be enough for the first drop but i think it won't work for the rest of the track! but maybe i am wrong if you don´t know what i mean look on the last piece of track on this photo... the track seems to have some extra rails on both sides... and like we know from the mack watercoaster, it is easy to fade-in the extra track, even during driving compared Mack watercoaster track it looks nearly the same(track in the backround of this pic), but a little bit different in the way it is built, maybe to get no problems with patents: and this will look a little bit more like the track we've seen on the artworks... even if it is not exactly the same (i know, they are just a artworks) -
seriously, this what all german coaster enthusiast are waiting for.... the rumors have started to grow, what will come in the huge area were the both logflumes where located. They even are going to destroy the old western city, too, this will lead to a really big new free space in the middle of the park. So because now the park has just mystery river as water ride, this is why many rumors point on a water coaster or a aquatrax ride... but nothing is really known about it, just complete rumors but we all started praying now
-
^^ worked a long time on the coasters, especially on the dive machine. But i have to admit, after i had put every aviable ride into the park i just had 900 people in the park at year 5 or sth.! So i began to add every ride multiple times in a fast way, to get the goal number of 2000 people normaly i don´t put two of the same rides in one park, but here it was my only option
-
do we have to post our parks in this thread? if we have to, here are the three pics of my park, shortly after i finished the goals (and putting in many multiple rides for reaching the guests numbers): http://themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/images/thumb/2496_SCR3.BMP The first massive coaster is "Schnee-Hüpferle", a (3:55 min) long dive coaster, with multiple drops on a very narrow space: http://themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/images/thumb/2497_SCR1.BMP The secound one is "Schlitten-Gaudi" which trys to simulate a sledge ride down the hills, which is why i build it very close to the bottom: http://themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/images/thumb/2498_SCR2.BMP and here is the download link to the park: http://themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/track.php?id=2496 the two coaster tracks were uploaded in the exchange, too.

Nürburgring launched coaster
Kooky replied to thomas2's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^ that is what i was thinking, why they didn´t just push it. i mean if it comes to a complete stop, then it would be the easiest way to let roll it down to the station... But maybe german authorities wouldn`t allow this, because it´s to unsafe for the guy who pushes the train. But on the other side, i think it's really dangerous to evacuate it in this height... they have to stabelize the train and they need to get people out of the train, one by one. But i am really hoping that they will get this coaster finally to work -

Yeah, like you said... the german TÜV is really notoriously strict and i can't imagine that they will allow this, but i hope i was wrong and they get a permission to build this nice theming! I know from paint which makes things more fire resistant, but fire so close to wood, even if they statues are built out of another material, i am not sure that they will really built this like they painted it in the artwork... but like i said, i hope they will do -
Nürburgring launched coaster

like i said before... they were just not rely on the opening of the coaster next year, because they need the permission... BUT IT IS NOT OVER...the ring racer is still alive the newest info of a german newspaper from last week http://www.rhein-zeitung.de/regionales_artikel,-Nuerburgring-Chefs-%E2%80%9EWir-koennen-die-Pacht-bezahlen%E2%80%9C-_arid,351739.html#articletop: Rough and shortened translation: Never heard that a coaster before had to get certificate for guarantee that the velocitly is harmless... people drive with cars on the street with 241 km/H... never heard that some one just gets hurt because of the speed as long as you didn`t crash into something. -
