  1. From my favorite movie. OMG - It's the Big W. Did you get the money?
  2. Robb - Coaster is so worth it, go back! Everyone should go ride it! It's that good, better than El Toro! It will be in my top 3 when I complete Mitch's Poll this year.
  3. How did that, we don't need a closer experiment work?
  4. I made this up last year for a Holiday Desert Contest at work and won a prize. Cinnamon Stars Cup of sugar 1/4 Cup of Cinnamon (can be changed according to taste) Bag of Flour Tortillas Pour sugar and cinnamon into a one gallon ziplock bag. Thoroughly shake to mix. With a "star" shaped cookie cutter, cut as many star shapes as you can from each tortilla. Heat a quart of vegetable oil at a very low temperature in sauce pan. (Please do not turn the heat too high or leave the oil unattended. No fires, this is not Cooking with Joe). Stop dropping the tortilla stars into the oil and as soon as they puff up remove them, place them in the ziplock bag and shake. Remove stars from bag and place on a serving plate to cool. When ready to serve, you can pour either honey or chocolate syrup over the top. Or eat plain.
  5. Joe - The Third Reich in its' brief reign certainly tried to challenge Britain's historical thievery supremacy, but the the new Germany had to give everything back. You are right in that the Brits go down as the most successful since they still have the goods.
  6. Also, it has been sepculated that Cedar Fair will stop issuing a dividend to shareholders in 2010. The stock on down 20% at points yesterday. Cedar Fair was very proud of their ability to increase their dividend year over year until last year. Many say Cedar Fair is the new Six Flags with all it's debt, but at least Cedar Fair has the luxury of using the suspended dividends to pay down debt. Certainly not positive news, but not as seriuos as Six Flags problems.
  7. Oh I'm sorry, I didn't notice you and TPDave stuck in those tumbler nets when I kept spinning them around. My bad!
  8. ^Actually, it looks like 6 transportation rides in total at one time: 2 railroads Eagle's Flight Metro Funicular and Dragon Hopefully, Shane can shed some light on the Dragon!
  9. I hear there is a SCAD Tower in Dallas!
  10. What no aftermath of Craig's car after he totalled it? Come on, someone has to have a still. This was seriously as much fun as any coaster, thanks to Robb and Elissa for pulling this together.
  11. If you have to put mayo on fries, they can't be that good.
  12. It's such a shame that 90% of the little nuances and attention to detail that the Universal HHN creative staff point out during the tour are completely lost in the darkness of the mazes.
  13. Imagine how much different it would be if Walt had built his little park there instead of Florida.
  14. ^^And the food was awesome at that Farup buffet. Those scalloped potatoes were insane! ^Yes, these two consecutive days were when many people experienced the difference between water resistant and waterproof clothing. On my own the parks on in the rain would have been miserable, but with TPR they were great.
  15. ^I think many of us were shivering too much too complain. Seriously, why complain about conditions that are out of your control. Just deal with situation and make the best of it.
  16. The next generation of wooden coasters thanks to the efforts of Intamin, GCI and Gravity Group.
  17. If I've learned only one thing in life from Robb Alvey, it is that Magnum P.I. rules!
  18. Oh my, I was still drunk, I actually voluntarily took a picture.
  19. The moderators locked this thread. We appreciate your enthusiasm for TPR and Phantasialand, but we generally don't allow discussion threads for an individual park, until there is BIG news from the park. We hope you understand! thanks, Larry
  20. In that case I would recommend one day at SFMM (for thrills) and one day at Disneyland/DCA. Although some of the rides have the same name but the layouts are different. DLP has a better Big Thunder Mountain and Haunted Manor. but there any many well done attractions at Disneyland that you can not experience at DLP. Indiana Jones, Mr Toad's Wild Ride, Matterhorn, Splash Mountain, Jungle Cruise, Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, Alice in Wonderland and many others. Disneyland attractions The front gate of DCA is much closer to Disneyland's than the Movie Studios are to DLP making park hopping even easier than in Paris. Although many focus on the construction, it does not affect the appearance of many parts of the park and there are many unique attractions not to be found in Paris. On my first two trips to California I did not visit Disneyland or DCA, thinking I've seen it all in Florida, but after finally visiting the original version it was worth the trip.
  21. Thanks Benny, I used a couple of flat ride photos for the Park Index. The park looks so different without Divv hungover in the background of every picture. The Efteling hotel (themed to a floating castle) is certainly one of the most unique theme park hotels.
  22. You are going to get useless advice unless you let everyone know what you and your wife enjoy at parks. I'm not sure why people are telling you to dismiss Disneyland just because you have been to DLP. Some of the people giving this advice clearly have never been to DLP. They are completely different experiences from the rides, to the staff to the attractions.
  23. I think the ghost of Tor Johnson was responsible for the hacker attack.
  24. ^^The hotel room for night you return from the last park will be included in the price.
  25. Does Anth insist on doing the water rides in this type of weather?
