Names you've mispronounced
Thrillrider15 replied to Thrillrider15's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Maybe I can put it in these words. For when you first glance at a word that you don't know how to pronounce, your brain sometimes filters some of the stuff out of the word, or sentence. It could be a letter, a word, or a pronunciation. Here's an example: For what I'm going to show you is a sentence. In order for this to work, you have to skim the sentence, or read it quickly. Don't take your time on this. So here it is: My grandmother went to the the store to buy some groceries. If this worked correctly, you shouldn't have noticed that there were two "the" words, in the sentence. As said before, it is the way the brain works that makes this happen. In another case, you try to pronounce a word that maybe has a K in it. You might not know if the K makes a K sound, or if it's silent. That's a different case. I hope this clears things out a bit. -
List all the names of coasters, Parks, ride companies, etc., that you've mispronounced. They do have to do with amusement parks, or rides. I'll start off. Vekoma Kraken Kumba Sheikra Fujiyama Dodonpa Geauga Lake Gemini Medusa Rita: The Queen of Speed Zonga Hades Zeus Kumali Opa (lol) HexenBesen Tatsu Dragon Khan Katun Supersonic Odyssey Eejanaika

No Limits Track - Veer
Thrillrider15 replied to Golfie's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Well you are right about it not being the fastest roller coaster in the world, but it was alright. There was a few turns that jerks you a little bit, but it's O.K. Good job. -
Who needs a coaster for 2007
Thrillrider15 replied to Milkchan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Six Flags Magic Mountain! J.K. Anyways, Valleyfair! of course (Since it's my home park). The talk about Valleyfair! getting a B&M coaster has been around for a long time. And I think Valleyfair! will be getting the coaster for 2007. Also an addition to that, their's also competition out there, such as Michigan's Adventure. But too, this could all be a scam. -

Wow. After seeing this, I am glad for what we have here. You've made me look at amusement parks/ theme parks, in a whole new way. -

Well I guess it was alright. It had some rough spots, and it would take forever to get back to the station. But I do understand that Euro-Fighters are more difficult to make. For this coaster, I say yes! Good job! -
My best park
Thrillrider15 replied to Thrillrider15's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Another update! Yes, I will give out clues to what's coming up next in a second. But for now, more pictures! And now for clues on what's coming up next update. In the future of the park, I am planning to add a water park behind the Tower of Terror (photo of plan coming up in the next update). Also, a new coaster in a few years is for sure, but no plans on details yet. Yes, I am aware of that. For this was planned ahead of time, I am planning to start fixing up the park (because of the features that are now available in the game, that weren't before). And that includes new supports for most of the coasters, and to plant trees around the park. I do not believe that the park needs more buildings. I don't know what's about this shot, but it makes Titanium look awsome!..... What is it about Titanium?!? Goin' down! The view from Power Tower. Aaaaahhh!!! Weeee! Coming down! On Steel Venom, you can touch the sky! The Machine of the Century. Lammy Fair's first coaster ever built! And it still runs smoothly. Look at all the happy people riding Steel venom's launch. The unheartlined twist on Steel Venom can't be good. Steel Venom! The coaster that doesn't seem to get a lot of attention for some reason. Here comes Titanium from the turn that had to be readjusted from when it vallied about 6 years ago. -
Intamin Mega Coasters
Thrillrider15 replied to ECZenith's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm pretty sure that their will be a park out there that will get an Intamin mega coaster. I would highly doubt that it wouldn't happen. -
Storm Runner......
Thrillrider15 replied to deguy123's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm glad someone posted about this. And yes, it seems to be that Storm Runner lost its hype in popularity. When it opened to the public, it was a big hit! But now it's barely even spoken anymore. -

New rct2 park.
Thrillrider15 replied to pepsie's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
That looks like a good park so far. Only one suggestion is now that that park looks pretty big, you might want to build some rides in that area, and try not to expand that often. That way it doesn't make the park look just huge and long in a way. But keep it going! -

Thrillrider15 replied to Thrillrider15's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
O.K. update time! I know it has been awhile, because I was busy and all, but I'm promising updates more often. Anyways, pictures pictures pictures! The Tower of Terror photo that is better than Robb and Elissa's! Just kidding. Yay! A suicidal jump off of Tower of Terror! I don't get what's so great about this hill, but it's just awsome! The Power Tower Just peaks above Haste's second hill. As seen in this photo, Titanium runs right in front of Haste. Ahh! That sweet airtime hill on Titanium. From this view, you can see how tall Power Tower really is. Wee! Up the Robin they go! This is the new ride opening next year, called "Scream".Spinning in loops down to the ground, and back in the air! This is the whole park looking at it in the back! Check out all those happy riders riding Riptide. -

What should you do on a roller coaster?
Thrillrider15 replied to SCHOOL's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Exactly what will happen! If you're as big as an amusement park fan on this board, and you don't go on a ride because you were too nervous, one day you'll think of the ride, and really hate yourself. Trust me, it happens. It happened to me once. -
What Cedar Point Coaster are you?

I'm a Wicked Twister! Impulsive and twisted! -
O.K. I know this has been said about 50 times before, but yes. People do not think of Disney as Thrill rides. Take my example for example. Right after my family was at the Magic Kingdom, where I had ridden my first coaster (The Barnstormer), we headed to Tower of Terror, where we had no idea that it was a drop ride. We plunge on the ride, and scared the living out of me! It was the same for the Rock'n Roller Coaster. I saw the launch when we headed in the station, we saw the train head into the tunnel. I got a little shocked about it, but then forgot about it when we started running the circuit. And the launch scared me! Same with the whole ride. Although I only remember feeling one section of negative G on the ride, and that was that little bunny hop at the end. I was so worried that the ride would produce negative G, and the bunny hop at the end creeped me out. What I'm trying to tell, is the point of view of the average person. So if I went on Mission Space (even with all those warning signs), I probably still would have gone on it (I would have gone on it, but it wasn't built yet), ignoring the signs, and still not even knowing what the ride was.

Thrillrider15 replied to Rooey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It seems like Intamin "or just Stealth", has to kind of wear the ride out a little for it to work properly. It's Like getting a new key. You have to use it a couple of times to go in smoothly. -

^ Agreed. As of also the impulse coasters have a lot of downtime. IMO, Intamin is starting to go over the edge with all the tallest and fastest coasters. I mean they're great rides and all, but, ya. -

From what www.screamscape.com reports, is that Stealth at Thorpe Park, has been having problems with downtime, and maintenance. Also known as, "The Intamin Curse". You can read it here: http://www.screamscape.com/html/thorpe_park.htm -
I apologize that this topic came up early, but I couldn't resist the temptation. It's time to vote for which of the two Intamin you like better! Stealth, or Xcelerator? Please do not vote if you have not ridden both Xcelerator, and Stealth. Erik
