Intense Airtime
Thrillrider15 replied to Thrillrider15's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Aah yes. B&M's are the greatest. Airtime is a great feeling, but it can be torture sometimes. It's like your first coaster of the season. Intense. -

Wallis's Wonderful Wriggling Wirral Wacky Worm. http://www.rcdb.com/id2730.htm (yes. it is a coaster). -
I was just wondering what everybody thought about "intense airtime" (the feeling you would get on a coaster with a steep drop). Is it a sensation, or is it torture for you? For me, I think of "intense airtime" as "this is awesome, but is it going to end soon?”

Gerbil themed sex dark ride.
Thrillrider15 replied to gyjdnb's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This is somewhat of a strange topic. Who would want to do it on a hamster ride? Am I supposed to be reading this stuff?.......yes. -
Yes. There has been talk about Valleyfair! getting a new coaster in 2007. Most of them say a B&M invert. I've also heard predictions of a CCI wooden coaster. Now I'm not so sure about the wooden coaster theory, because I found it on the www.rollercoasterpro.com boards. I am hoping though, for a B&M invert though.

Weird Moments
Thrillrider15 replied to coastermaniac's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I learned to never feed the ducks at Epcot center. A french fry fell out of my meal, and a duck came by and ate it. A few seconds later, a flock of ducks came flying from out of the lake, and landed right next to us. Then my sister spilled her fries, and, ya. They followed us from Canada Land (at Epcot of course ), to Test Track. -
Another bad year for ride accidents?
Thrillrider15 replied to Jon Sabo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I wouldn't think that they would deserve the injuries they would get when standing up on a coaster. -
Weird Moments

One time while riding Excalibur at Valleyfair!, I don't know what happened, but I might have hit a bee or something, because I felt kind of a "sting" feeling. I'm not sure if it was actually a bee though. -
Liseberg Discussion Thread

Look at their hands after touching the lift hill. Is it just me, or does it seem like a lot of rides are breaking down? I think it's just me though because of the Wild Thing at Valleyfair! incident, and the zipper incident at a Minnesota carnival. -
B&M vs Intamin
Thrillrider15 replied to alpengeistdude321's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
B&M is a definite. I have only been on one B&M, and one Intamin in my life (sadly), and I say B&M wins the prize. Intamin I say is trying to be the biggest company out there. And here comes these coasters by Intamin that are over some crazy 300 feet. Kind of pushy I would say. But B&M (as I have heard, they do not build anything over 300 feet) on the other hand, would say "Take it easy. Give them what they want". That's how I would summarize it. -

Favorite Log Flume
Thrillrider15 replied to apollo210's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My favorite log flume is the Paul Bunyan's Log Chute ride at the Park at MOA. It's a nice long ride, and it gives airtime. -
2 seriously hurt on carnival ride
Thrillrider15 replied to tsmcdon's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow. I hate it when this happens. It's sad. Especially when it happens in a place not too far away from you (I live sixty minutes from Hinckley). And it's also same here. I will ride carnival rides, but I don't trust that they're that safe. -

Wow. Poor Alton Towers. Hard times for them. Hard times. I don't know what they could do about it though. -
How often do you ride coasters?
Thrillrider15 replied to Jumboshrmp's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Same here. I'm the only one in my family that loves amusement parks that much. They would rather see Mount Rushmore than an amusement park. So, ya. I'm kind of stuck. -
I have been wondering for a long time now, what the history of the Togo Company is. So I finally decided to do some research on this. I didn't find much though. Here's some information I found on www.bannister.org. This is the information it has posted, Mentioned in the article above, was the name of "Kazou Yamada". He is the owner of Togo as far as I know, and he also designed the solution to the pipeline coaster. But this is all that I could find about this company. Does anybody know more about Togo?
