  1. Hey SFNE has had significantly better operations so far this year.
  2. Good trip report and I liked the reviews. With the new restraints, I think Mind Eraser is a solid 7/10 ride now. Not glass smooth but the restraints take away any headbanging.
  3. Sounds like the Top Scan at Canada's Wonderland. I really want to try a top scan sometime with a full and crazy cycle.
  4. Dang that launch just sounds more and more crazy with each description.
  5. Wing coaster Buy or lease a car?
  6. An army of wiener dogs in hot dog suits stormed down from the attic and distracted them until...
  7. ^^ How packed is Retro Night? Quassy used to have 25 cent night and lines for rides and food reached 20-40 minutes. While that doesn't seem like much, everything is usually a walk-on there.
  8. Amazing photos as always. I agree that the Rockit is the best ride on the propety. I rode it expecting a forceless ride, but was shocked by the really good air and postive Gs in those funky turnarounds.
  9. I'm only going to put the coasters I've ridden here. Giga- Fury 325 Hyper- SkyRush Hybrid- Twisted Colossus Invert- Banshee Launched- Maverick Woodies- Boulder Dash & Phoenix Other- La Ronde'a Goliath (technically not a hyper), Tatsu, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
  10. Maybe I'd try VR on Great Escape's tower, but I wouldn't want to deprive myself of that view atop Zumanjaro.
  11. I better get more flips than SFMM's Green Lantern. The ride looks insane in that top section right now.
  12. Flight Deck is one of my favorite inverts and by all accounts Patriot sounds like a really good ride too, but of those parks I'd pick the Boardwalk for the uniqueness.
  13. Along with the rides mentioned above, the other ones I really liked were: Cave Man Adventure- Very quirky dark ride. Wipeout- Indoor break dance with a very good cycle. Fireball- Great airtime on this frisbee. Undertow- Good spinning coaster. During my visit in 2014, this ride had an hour wait while everything else was less than 20-30 min. Logger's Revenge- Unique layout for a flume. Double Shot- Very strong air time and a great view. Rock-O-Plane- Fun classic flat ride. Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is a really great park.
  14. They need to try and get Nick Cage as the first rider.
  15. Georgia Cyclone was a major surprise during my visit. I figured it would have some air time, but the amount of ejector air I got in the back caught me off guard. I agree that the layout is great as is and finishing it up with topper track should keep that ride in tip top shape. Though SFNE started with topper track on their Cyclone before going Iron Horse so this could go either way.
  16. I've found the lap bars on wild mice can get cramped enough as is so I can't imagine how much worse it gets with those leg restraints.
  17. Last Saturday they were sending trains off on Superman before the previous train returned to the brake run. That is something I can't remember seeing in the past.
  18. ^ I never go out of the way for credits, but will hit them if they are on my route or my route can pass by them without adding more than a half hour. I do feel bad taking time to ride a kiddie credit at a major park such as Carowinds when I could ride Fury another time instead.
  19. Super Cyclone at Fiesta Shows carnivals. They just got this Galaxi-style coaster recently and I believe the Revere Carnival this past week was the first time it was set up. Their kiddie coasters are also pretty rare credits too for me (compared to most coaster enthusiasts) and I don't feel bad for having them since I got them when I was a kid. There are probably some random kiddie credits and alpine coasters in the Northeast that I have that not many enthusiasts have experienced as well. Python Panique at the Granby Zoo is another uncommon one that I have. Roar-o-saurus is a really good coaster that I've ridden that I don't think many enthusiasts have ridden.
  20. ^ Yes! The only mini donuts I've found to be really good in parks has been at Santa's Village. Though the bacon wrapped pretzels at Busch Gardens beat all theme park food for me.
  21. There are two that particularly stick out to me. Making a pit stop at the Granby Zoo in Canada on the way to La Ronde with the sole intention to ride the Python Panique coaster. I paid full admission for the zoo and then found out the rides opened an hour or two after the zoo and were an additional upcharge. On the bright side, the Granby Zoo was the best zoo I've ever been to but I openly admit I went in as a credit whore. Making a detour at Party Zone USA to ride their kiddie coaster. After buying the ticket, I then had to ask 2-3 employees who could operate the ride. When I found the right employee, they asked where my kid was. Yeah...there wasn't a kid with me so I got a shocked look.
  22. A smooth coaster with airtime (RMC, hyper, wooden coaster, etc) A log flume A drop tower Efficient operations Food is a bonus, but I'm so used to having to find local options. Not every park can be a Knoebels.
  23. I'm glad the new Typhoon appears to have cage-free seating. Never rode the original, but I've ridden similar of those Kamikazes at local carnivals. I feel like a prisoner.
