  1. Great report! I finally plan to make it down to Wildwood this summer and this report makes me look forward to it more. I'll remember to visit Mack's.
  2. I rode Beast in the very back as well as the back of other cars. It's far from smooth in these seats, but it's still a very good ride and not uncomfortable. I'd define it as wild. Beast at night was the single largest difference I've ever seen a ride make from day to night, but I'll still take Boulder Dash at night. It's one of the few coasters with an equally as great setting and it's a better ride. Banshee is really good at night too though as well as Diamondback. I'm so glad the park was open until midnight when I was there last year since their top attractions really lend themselves to great night rides.
  3. About how bad is the worst wait for Laff Trak on a typical weekend. Are we talking an hour or well beyond that?
  4. Updating my list: 2005 Hydra the Revenge 2006 Backlot Stunt Coaster (Kings Dominion) 2012 Skyrush Verbolten 2014 2015 Rougarou (if it counts) 2016 Storm Chaser Valravn Poogee Penguin's Spin Out Freedom Rider at iPlay America I should have also had Lightning Rod last year, but you know...
  5. On the SLCs, I always found leaning my head against one side of the restraint was the best bet. The SLCs are so rough that they not only bash your head back and forth, but they can also throw you forwards, especially during that 3rd inversion. So I wouldn't want to stick my head forwards.
  6. Granted, but when you wake up you will need a new job. I wish my cell phone's battery was better.
  7. I saw Guardians on Saturday and really enjoyed it. As a disclaimer, I'm a huge comic book fan. I liked how they jumped right into the action and did a good job balancing the large cast of characters well. The humor, like the first film, was well timed and fit in well with the action sequences.
  8. I thought the first drop had some in the back and the front had a random pop halfway through but either way this is no Phoenix.
  9. It'll be interesting to see how quickly this can be assembled if the park is estimating an early June opening.
  10. I haven't been to Playland in almost 10 years but have enjoyed it the few times I've been there. Dragon only has one hill with airtime if I remember correctly but the ride runs incredibly smooth despite its age and who doesn't love that tunnel. Glad the Whip is still run fast though it's a shame the flume is down. I remember it being one of the better ones I've been on.
  11. ^ I really want to like Green Lantern since those drops where you change direction give some really weird and fun sensations. However, the final 1/3 of the ride is completely painful. I've only gotten one truly bad ride on Goliath and that was in one of the middle rows. I've still had solid rides if I'm in the very front or in the back 2 rows. But it definitely isn't as smooth as it was with the original trains.
  12. ^ As long as the wait for the front isn't that much longer, I'll be sure to ride there. With the SLCs, I've found the front and back rows to often be the smoothest. And when I say smoothest, I mean only very uncomfortable not totally uncomfortable (unless you have the OSTR-less restraints).
  13. When I've run into awful lines at SFNE, I've driven to Lake Compounce but that's only an hour down the road. Dorney is 3-4 times further I think. But at least I can guarantee Dorney had no lines.
  14. ^ I honestly prefer Leviathan because of how awesome that first drop is, but the two rides are extremely close in my book. I agree Behemoth has the better air.
  15. I considered visiting Mt. Olympus when I'm in Chicago in 2 weeks but after all these rave reviews I decided to hit Indiana Beach instead.
  16. Rides opening late isn't a big issue since I'll be arriving around 7. I planned to do the haunted house but didn't realize they had Fascination. That's awesome! I love that game at Knoebels.
  17. ^^ How smooth is Thunderhawk? I've been spoiled by the new restraints on SFNE's Mind Eraser.
  18. I plan to head towards the back of the park anyway since I want to start with Goliath, so I should be able to get on American Eagle early enough. From the park map, it looks like the two junior coasters are on the way if I need to stall for my Flash Pass reservation to kick in. The website didn't say adults were restricted from Spacely's, but if they are it just means I have more time for better coasters.
  19. Thanks! So I may actually want to hit Little Dipper somewhat early then. Good to know.
  20. I plan to stop there on the night of Saturday May 27 when I am in the area. Being Memorial Day weekend, I am guessing this could be one of the busier days at the park. I'd be coming from Michigan's Adventure and expect to arrive no later than 7 pm. Is 4 hour enough time to hit all of the coasters once plus get a few rerides on Cornball Express? Based on older posts, it looks like the Lost Coaster (if open) and Steel Hawg will be my worst two waits. How bad is the worst wait for these rides typically (30-45 minutes)? If I have extra time, I want to hit the two dark rides, the flume, and Double Shot but the coasters are my top priorities.
  21. I'll be visiting the park on Saturday May 27 when I'm in the area. I was hoping to hit both Michigan's Adventure and Indiana Beach in the same day. I think I would get to Michigan's Adventure around 11:30 am, which is a half hour after opening. In order to get to Indiana Beach, I probably can only spend 3.5-4 hours there but based on everyone's input on this forum, I should be fine since the water park seems to be the main draw. I just plan to ride the coasters once with the exception of Shivering Timbers (I want several rerides). Based on older posts, I should hit Mad Mouse and Wolverine Wildcat first since they will get the worst waits. Approximately how bad is the worst wait for these coasters on a Saturday? A half hour? I'm not opposed to getting a Fast Lane if needed since it isn't too expensive, but it seems like I should be able to get the rides done without one.
  22. I plan to visit the park on Memorial Day. I figure crowds will be rather heavy and since it will be my first visit to the park (and not sure when the next visit would be), I plan to get a Flash Pass. I noticed that American Eagle isn't on the Flash Pass. Are waits for that coaster typically pretty short or should I run there right after opening? I also noticed the two smaller coasters (the roller skater and Little Dipper) aren't on Flash Pass, but I figure those won't have bad waits.
  23. That area looks fantastic now that it's open. I can't wait to try one of these Justice League shooting rides this summer.
  24. Great report as usual! I'm glad the new Hulk sounds as intense as the old one. I was afraid it would be tamed somewhat on the transitions during the track replacement. It's too bad you didn't like Dragon Challenge. It's my favorite of the B&M inverts (both sides) after Banshee and that is even when they aren't dueling. I find the rides to maintain the intensity the whole way except Ice's ending. I especially love the zero-G roll and airtime hills on those coasters.
  25. I don't know, removing that one at SFNE for that horrific joke of a raft ride is pretty unforgivable. At least Joker is a redemption.
