Soren, you are too much, LOL! Nice TR... A' La Cinema. Obviously, yours will be The-Camera-To-Watch-Out-For during the UK Trip next June, heh heh. And don't listen to Elissa! It's an American-style bar, so why not go with the flow (literally)? However, don't give up your German Beers, okay?

The Official "Chocolate and Candy Trading" Thread!
Nrthwnd replied to Hattuchili's topic in Random, Random, Random
Kinder Eggs are sold in Canada too, but with different toys and figure sets. When I was in Berlin(Nov.04), I picked up a Kinder there, and got a wierd mole-like looking character - ah, here's the paper explaining (yeah, I kept it, too, lol) ... Mission Maulwurf, and I got Rick Radar. Definitely an important team member, LOL. So, there's Canadian Kinder Eggs to be sent to the poor starving masses in... America??? Yes it's true. The US Food and Drug Admins. won't allow the candy to be sold, if it contains an unedible part - i.e. the toy. Patientce, patience. -
The Official "Chocolate and Candy Trading" Thread!

Kewl!!! Hmmm. Let's see. dandaman already suggested a couple of choc.bars and Smarties. I'll add Mackintosh toffee bars? It's just a small slab of toffee in a very Scottish-looking box. But made in Canada! And very nice, too. And since him and I live on opposite sides of the country, we might have more regional stuff we can separately send you way, hmmm? But like I said in last post, I am getting ready for my Am'dam trip and will work on assembling a good package for all to try, after I get back. And when Christmas time rolls around? OMG, the packs of world candy flying back and forth??? Wonderful. True global sharing. I like it! -
The Official "Chocolate and Candy Trading" Thread!

I think this topic should now be called "Soren & The Chocolate Factory!" Or maybe change the thread title to "World Chocolate & Candy Emporium." Just a couple of suggestions, heh heh. And I do have a couple of ideas for Canadian-made chocolate and candy to send your way, peeps. But, I'm going to wait until I get back from my Amsterdam trip, beginning of Nov. By the way - Soren or anybody else - how does Dutch chocolate compare to other countries' stuff? I mean, I've been there twice in the last three years, and didn't buy any locally-made candy. Maybe that's why I lost weight on those trips, LOL. Lots of walking, drinking water and No Chocolate, . -
Hmmm - wonder how many AIR MILES that would require?

Nottingham Goose Fair - video
Nrthwnd replied to Yeah 7's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Nice video there. Music fits great, too. I always enjoy flat rides at night with all their lights on. So much cooler. The smoke there is a nice touch with some of the rides too, altho I realize some peeps might not like that. -
Um, for those who are new to this posting - currently the tour is booked FULL, but there is a waiting list made up, for those who are willing to wait, when first (possible) cancellations occur in February'06. A deposit is still required for the waiting list. And 2007, '08 and so on aren't really definite yet as to where they will actually go, y'know? Heck, there's now even a possibility of an all-Scandinavian tour. But in time, we'll all find out... Just for your information.

^ Said boom. And hi. And just joined today! < Is posting his #333 post right now! V Can't imagine what to say next.

IMO. A remote, perhaps? I have one for my old regular film camera. Hit the remote, pic taken in five-8 second, depending. Easy to put remote down or keep holding it, if small enough, like mine.

Well, I've looked and looked, and unless it's really DEEP in the threads there, I can't find one for this. So....here t'is. In certain TRs, these 'little buddies' pop up here and there in the pix. Hmmm. There's a hippo. Now I see Oscar, the Grouch. There's half-a-Ken! And here's a pic posted of a friend's little buddy, Blue Bear, doing his 'East-West Thang' in Berlin over a year ago. BB is now, unfortunately, on the Missing List due to some unfeeling so-and-so not liking BB in pix at all! (---hole) Anyhoo, I have a fave little tag-along I 'might' bring with me on the UK trip next June. then Not definite. So don't get all freeked on me, you UK Group, lol. Yet. But for anybody who does have a little bud that tags along for TR pix - here's the thread to post a pic of him/her/it/whatever. Share and be happy. Blue Bear resting between Berlin city "halves. " Yes, that IS where The Wall used to be. A Clark Nikolai photo (and his missing bear, too).

Theme Park Review In The TOP TEN?!?
Nrthwnd replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Um, with the sudden Burst of Onliners yesterday late afternoon (over 1300, mm'yes) - does that b-b-bump the numbers up for Ye Olde Website Standing??? Thought I'd enquire - with hope. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ V re: digg.com? Not knowing about...? Well, now ya do, LOL! -
I just realized, again, that I am no closer to getting to any theme park locally or even regionally than..... I haven't in the past. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR - Almost a blowup rant here. Could be big, but not yet. Not the right time. And timing. I am in this corner of the world, with limitations more intense than most would imagine. Or could imagine. imo. Thirty miles from the US border. Cryptic I know. I'll figure out how to put it here, soon enough. But for now, there's still a big pain. And it's not fair, it never is, and what - ever.
-
What?!! I thought you sucked on the cork to taste the wine! Not (ech) smell it. As always Soren - a TR with Thought, Education AND Entertainment all in one, heh heh.

Bump - Bump - A - Bump Let's see here. What do I 'collect'? Ready??? Broadway Cast Albums. I have nearly 400 LPs of shows and related (i.e. Off-Broadway, one person shows, revivals). And I have nearly 200 CDs of the new shows, and picked faves from the old ones. By the way, fyi, Brdwy Cast LPs went total all-CD around beginning of the 90's. 1990 Tony Winner 'City of Angels' was one of the last to still have an LP for it. I also have a large collection of theatre-related books, including 38 years of Theatre World, which chronicles every Brdwy season from 1965-2003. And special books, like coffeetable books on specific shows, designers, etc. DisneyStuff Everything from my framed 1962 map of DL upstairs on a wall for all to see, to a selection of books, guidebooks and general 'stuff' that's collected, like daily park guides, etc. Also, the past year has seen me rack up a sizeable collection of DisneyPins. Not huge, but still a collection I'd say, lol. And interesting, I hope, for anyone to browse thru. Hmmm. Guess that's enough for now, huh? A few other collections I have, but they can wait. Now - now, that I have bumped it back here, anybody else?

Your favorite artist and work of art
Nrthwnd replied to USRoadTripper's topic in Random, Random, Random
I honestly admit, I have no real fave amongst all the artists and illustrationists in the world, past and present/future.... But, this TPR Art Gallery is most enjoyable to 'stroll thru.' And I fully agree with Teddymonster - keep this 'gallery' alive and pulsing with art and art projects. Old and new. Favorites, and...debatables. Nuthin'likes a bit'o cultcha, eh? And to RoadTripper for the thread's start. Yay. -
Bring'em all up to Canada! That'll challenge them quite a bit, EH? The money will throw them (look, can I keep the purple Fifty?) not to mention the fact, if they are diverted into Quebec ~~~ there's your International Flava! Hey - even alot of english-speaking canucks (us) don't go into or near that province too much. (kidding) And it's not even a true Parisian French that is spoken there, so the Canadian slang w/french will REALLY challenge these groups-of-four, heh heh. Then, there's still Mexico, altho true to what's been already said, the costs of REALLY going 'international' with this, might not happen. Uh huh. Still, you never know, right? I still like the family with actual kids in it, lol. Theyr'e trying and working their best, compared to some of the other (cough) adult foursomes. PUH-LEASE do something about the 4 Pink Ladies!!! I beg of you! Stop the torture of their AAAAAALLLSSCREAMMMMMMMMLOOOOOOUDLLLLYAAAAA. Hmmmph.

Make - grilled cheese sandwich - with pickle - later. Mmmmmm. Nice TR. 8)

Here's the site for the Dungeons of... http://www.thedungeons.com/ I do believe the other three use a boat ride thru part of their setup. But Am'dam's is the first with a coaster element. I also just found out, that this will cost (adult) 14.50 Euros admission  That's quite alot for a coaster credit, lol. I realize it's for the entire 'package tour' with talent involved. Not just a coaster ride... Ah well, a credit IS a credit, and this will be a pretty unique one, yes?
-
Um - I think it's going to need a rethink by the producers back to what it used to do best, hmmm? Global yelling!!! Yesh, I too wasn't really thrilled by it - especially when the US map was shown and the race route started appearing - OMG. Doomed we is. Well, David is still enjoying it, so the tv will stay scheduled for that Tues.time period. I Do hope there aren't that many non-elimination episodes. Can you imagine if they have four of those, like in previous seasons? Ech.

Which coaster fits your personality?
Nrthwnd replied to jarmor's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
the late great ZAMBEEZI ZINGER at WOF why? Because you can't ride it anymore nyah, nyah, nyah. Fast and quick, to the point, sometimes too much - and then, very unique as it is, one of the first w/one of the very first tunnels for a coaster. And a BAM ending, right into the station. Yowsa! oink. woof.
