  1. Why in the world do some performers seem to think that lyrics of an old song, need to be changed, due to (their) sexual orientation? I mean, c'mon. ------------------------ "Late last night I heard the screen door slam. And a big yellow taxi, took away my old man" j.mitchell (Orig.lyrics/music) Is the correct lyrics. NOT 'took my girl away.' counting crowes ------------------------ What are they scared of people thinking??? That they're (omg) gay? Yeah, whatever. Drives me nuts everytime the song starts up on the radio. Get over it, bands who cover classics. You won't be immediately 'tagged', by the lyrics you're covering. Give your audience more credit, huh?
  2. When Doves Cry - Prince ~ ~ ~ now, (5:25pm) Steppin'To The Bad Side - Orig.Cast Concert of Dreamgirls (Sept.2001) ~ ~ ~ ~ now, (6:30pm) Haunted Mansion Ride Theme - 50th Anniversary DL CD
  3. ^ You are a very lucky person CC88. You get to see Robb and Elissa's DVDs fresh from the computer - at a party, no less! And the rest of us have had to wait until now, sniff, sniff. Color me green, buddy. Wish I could have done that when I was your age.
  4. Wow - at first I think we were all thinking it was going to be a pretty wet one there for all of you. Applause to Mom Nature, huh? Sounds like the real harsher storms, surrounded where Knoebel's is, lol. Which is/was a good thing! Great TR.
  5. Here kitty,. kitty, kitty... Bring the key kitty - here kitty - keys kitty... HEY CAT!!!!!! Nice short plot-perfect TR guys. Breakfast for everybody!!!
  6. Well, my friend, you are closer to Thorpe Park than I am... so to be sure, you'll probably be back soon. Real soon, lol. Great report. Has anybody told you what that background building is, yet? I am curious too, altho I do seem to remember it from closeup pix. Hmmm... ------------------------------------------ And those kids in the Eye? I would have loudly asked their parents to please quiet their children DOWN! And in English, which with the right tonal volume, they will understand, believe me. If there is echo in those pods, I wouldn't be able to stand it for an entire revolution, that noise. Kids can be vocal and such, but screaming just to scream is sometimes just not right. Like the Eye. Some places (i.e. echo chambers) are not really that condusive to such noise? I know I wouldn't want it. ------------------------------------------- Good report, thanks.
  7. I worry waaaaay too much, I think, for "everybody's good." About lots of things and stuff. But - I really, really do care about these things I worry about.
  8. Sunglasses At Night - Corey Hart - 8)
  9. ^ Has no idea what a leisure suit is. < Has a life of (somewhat) leisure. V No leisure in this one's life.
  10. Most - Unusual - Themepark - Ever 'Nuff said? I think so. Thanks for sharing. You are too, too kind. ~ ~ ~
  11. Mine is "Western Canada'a Largest Amusement Park." Whatever. BIG SMILE. Playland Amusement Park, Vancouver, BC. (1/2 hour to walk to) Home to one of the top ten wooden coasters, depending on the decade, lol.
  12. ^ OMG ^ LMFAO ^ RAOF You guys are too much. Talk about "Personal Service." And now, like the rest of us, we will all try to imagine exactly this same scenario that occured with Soren's Order, happening with EVERY package you are shipping out - including *hint-cough-hint*... mine? One can only hope for the best, God Bless The US Postal Service. (With eventual help from Canada Post, lol.)
  13. ^ Awwwwwwwwwww ^ Good goin' Samantha!
  14. Big Thunder Mountain - Disneyland Paris - Sunday, Oct.24, 2004. Yeah, I know - been a long, long time, huh?
  15. "Finland, Finland, Finland, what a beautiful time..." "I said, ENGLAND." ".....ooohhh..." (Or words to that effect....)
  16. Nothing to do today, and a big 10 lb. turkey roastin' in the oven. MmmmM! It's our ThanksGiving weekend, which Canada times with more of the harvest period and the change of seasons and time, etc. We don't celebrate much here at our home, but to be honest, we should give thanks, as we're doing ok, health is fine, the cat's still with us , and for now, life is bumping along okay. *** And on this Tuesday (11th) after our Canadian Thanksgiving.... just received a little bit of $ from the Gov't. for tax credits. And some Disney Pins, arrived safe and sound too. Good start to a short (work) week. ***
  17. Yes, I knew about Wonderball, Kroger8. I think it's just that since the stickers can be torn up and possibly dissolved in water.... or thrown away like regular paper wrapping. But for some reason, the US FDA must think that a child is going to swallow a Kinder Egg whole, with the hard toy or toy parts still in it. Yeah, right. And the yellow/orange/colored toy holder inside the chocolate too, hmm? Good old US Standards and Practises - meh.
  18. Soren, you are too much, LOL! Nice TR... A' La Cinema. Obviously, yours will be The-Camera-To-Watch-Out-For during the UK Trip next June, heh heh. And don't listen to Elissa! It's an American-style bar, so why not go with the flow (literally)? However, don't give up your German Beers, okay?
  19. "A Very Merry Un-birthday to you - to you..." (who we don't know at TPR) A Happy Birthday and Many Happy Returns to The Launch Station! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ And - for us here in Canada - Happy Thanksgiving Day Weekend And to all of you in the USofA - Happy Columbus Day Weekend :)
  20. Kinder Eggs are sold in Canada too, but with different toys and figure sets. When I was in Berlin(Nov.04), I picked up a Kinder there, and got a wierd mole-like looking character - ah, here's the paper explaining (yeah, I kept it, too, lol) ... Mission Maulwurf, and I got Rick Radar. Definitely an important team member, LOL. So, there's Canadian Kinder Eggs to be sent to the poor starving masses in... America??? Yes it's true. The US Food and Drug Admins. won't allow the candy to be sold, if it contains an unedible part - i.e. the toy. Patientce, patience.
  21. Kewl!!! Hmmm. Let's see. dandaman already suggested a couple of choc.bars and Smarties. I'll add Mackintosh toffee bars? It's just a small slab of toffee in a very Scottish-looking box. But made in Canada! And very nice, too. And since him and I live on opposite sides of the country, we might have more regional stuff we can separately send you way, hmmm? But like I said in last post, I am getting ready for my Am'dam trip and will work on assembling a good package for all to try, after I get back. And when Christmas time rolls around? OMG, the packs of world candy flying back and forth??? Wonderful. True global sharing. I like it!
  22. I think this topic should now be called "Soren & The Chocolate Factory!" Or maybe change the thread title to "World Chocolate & Candy Emporium." Just a couple of suggestions, heh heh. And I do have a couple of ideas for Canadian-made chocolate and candy to send your way, peeps. But, I'm going to wait until I get back from my Amsterdam trip, beginning of Nov. By the way - Soren or anybody else - how does Dutch chocolate compare to other countries' stuff? I mean, I've been there twice in the last three years, and didn't buy any locally-made candy. Maybe that's why I lost weight on those trips, LOL. Lots of walking, drinking water and No Chocolate, .
  23. Looks exciting, guys. Thanks for the update. As for the huge amount of space there and what it might be for? Hmmm... Maybe Disney has struck a deal with SF and Disney's California Adventure will be um, "re-located"????
  24. Hmmm - wonder how many AIR MILES that would require?
  25. Nice video there. Music fits great, too. I always enjoy flat rides at night with all their lights on. So much cooler. The smoke there is a nice touch with some of the rides too, altho I realize some peeps might not like that.
