  1. I am sad that the track for the Pirates of The Caribbean attraction in DL is actually NOT an original theme track - 50th Ann.DL CD - Is actually from a tv soundtrack 'tour' of the ride that was broadcast just after it opened in 1967. It's just always sounded phony to me - actually the sountrack for 'it's a small world' went thru the same process and ends up on same CD, too. For those of us that remember the broadcast? Note that the countries' version of iasw is not complete by any shot? Remember, it was shown on US television, only. That's my rant - not true to what it actually ran like. However Indy Jones certainly right on in timing etc. Same with old Space Mountain theme. But - it's a rant, hmm? Grrrrrr.
  2. Wow, that ride takes me back to the mid-60's. Think I have a b/w pic of me on one, somewhere. We'll see. Hmmm. 1966 maybe? Hmmm. Glad to see that some real classic carnival flat rides are being revved up in their natural way (this certainly over that -imo- overinflated rocker thing). Always looked great when you could see all the machinery etc. That's what made it more diabolical. Hope everybody enjoyed their Rock'N'Roller ride there at K. Looked great!
  3. then then then back to
  4. The Original Corkscrew in Knott's Berry Farm - Sept.1975 (the Revolution was just having land cleared at MM, before footers and vertical happened.)
  5. Tea
  6. ^ LOL ^ It's a stat Monday off, for a lot of government workers, banks and financial institutions usually closed and stock exchanges, etc. It's sort of 'there' with all the eventual Halloween stuff that's going up and gathering steam, heh heh. It comes out in commericals for food stoes, yes. I think because it's connected more to actual seasonal harveting times, and the seasonal time changes, etc. that makes it a definite mark of the fall season we're now in. But it's not a commercial Big Deal as it goes in the USA. Or as much of one. Granted there are those ads and displays in shops. Now - what do you guys do for Columbus Day? I know there's parades here and there in the States. But - for what? I mean, he's Portugese isn't he? Or is this for the old 'discovery of...' and it's his birthday, thing? I don't even remember why, lol. Have a nice Columbus Day, America.
  7. Red. Lions, tigers, or bears? (thanks derwood - read later on V )
  8. Isn't the world a wonderful place, where somebody can actually think something like this up (re:Deal of a Lifetime) and they really DID think this up??? The mind boggles. That it's on AR is moot to me, since I already (jaw-dropped) saw it in the travel section of our local paper. I could not believe it, and immediately looked for any disclaimer of this '$40 US offer.' Nothing found. Okkkaaaaaaaay. Wow. ^ Funny old Las Vegas. ^
  9. Why in the world do some performers seem to think that lyrics of an old song, need to be changed, due to (their) sexual orientation? I mean, c'mon. ------------------------ "Late last night I heard the screen door slam. And a big yellow taxi, took away my old man" j.mitchell (Orig.lyrics/music) Is the correct lyrics. NOT 'took my girl away.' counting crowes ------------------------ What are they scared of people thinking??? That they're (omg) gay? Yeah, whatever. Drives me nuts everytime the song starts up on the radio. Get over it, bands who cover classics. You won't be immediately 'tagged', by the lyrics you're covering. Give your audience more credit, huh?
  10. When Doves Cry - Prince ~ ~ ~ now, (5:25pm) Steppin'To The Bad Side - Orig.Cast Concert of Dreamgirls (Sept.2001) ~ ~ ~ ~ now, (6:30pm) Haunted Mansion Ride Theme - 50th Anniversary DL CD
  11. ^ You are a very lucky person CC88. You get to see Robb and Elissa's DVDs fresh from the computer - at a party, no less! And the rest of us have had to wait until now, sniff, sniff. Color me green, buddy. Wish I could have done that when I was your age.
  12. Wow - at first I think we were all thinking it was going to be a pretty wet one there for all of you. Applause to Mom Nature, huh? Sounds like the real harsher storms, surrounded where Knoebel's is, lol. Which is/was a good thing! Great TR.
  13. Here kitty,. kitty, kitty... Bring the key kitty - here kitty - keys kitty... HEY CAT!!!!!! Nice short plot-perfect TR guys. Breakfast for everybody!!!
  14. Well, my friend, you are closer to Thorpe Park than I am... so to be sure, you'll probably be back soon. Real soon, lol. Great report. Has anybody told you what that background building is, yet? I am curious too, altho I do seem to remember it from closeup pix. Hmmm... ------------------------------------------ And those kids in the Eye? I would have loudly asked their parents to please quiet their children DOWN! And in English, which with the right tonal volume, they will understand, believe me. If there is echo in those pods, I wouldn't be able to stand it for an entire revolution, that noise. Kids can be vocal and such, but screaming just to scream is sometimes just not right. Like the Eye. Some places (i.e. echo chambers) are not really that condusive to such noise? I know I wouldn't want it. ------------------------------------------- Good report, thanks.
  15. I worry waaaaay too much, I think, for "everybody's good." About lots of things and stuff. But - I really, really do care about these things I worry about.
  16. Sunglasses At Night - Corey Hart - 8)

  18. Most - Unusual - Themepark - Ever 'Nuff said? I think so. Thanks for sharing. You are too, too kind. ~ ~ ~
  19. Mine is "Western Canada'a Largest Amusement Park." Whatever. BIG SMILE. Playland Amusement Park, Vancouver, BC. (1/2 hour to walk to) Home to one of the top ten wooden coasters, depending on the decade, lol.
  20. ^ OMG ^ LMFAO ^ RAOF You guys are too much. Talk about "Personal Service." And now, like the rest of us, we will all try to imagine exactly this same scenario that occured with Soren's Order, happening with EVERY package you are shipping out - including *hint-cough-hint*... mine? One can only hope for the best, God Bless The US Postal Service. (With eventual help from Canada Post, lol.)
  21. ^ Awwwwwwwwwww ^ Good goin' Samantha!
  22. Big Thunder Mountain - Disneyland Paris - Sunday, Oct.24, 2004. Yeah, I know - been a long, long time, huh?
  23. "Finland, Finland, Finland, what a beautiful time..." "I said, ENGLAND." ".....ooohhh..." (Or words to that effect....)
  24. Nothing to do today, and a big 10 lb. turkey roastin' in the oven. MmmmM! It's our ThanksGiving weekend, which Canada times with more of the harvest period and the change of seasons and time, etc. We don't celebrate much here at our home, but to be honest, we should give thanks, as we're doing ok, health is fine, the cat's still with us , and for now, life is bumping along okay. *** And on this Tuesday (11th) after our Canadian Thanksgiving.... just received a little bit of $ from the Gov't. for tax credits. And some Disney Pins, arrived safe and sound too. Good start to a short (work) week. ***
  25. Yes, I knew about Wonderball, Kroger8. I think it's just that since the stickers can be torn up and possibly dissolved in water.... or thrown away like regular paper wrapping. But for some reason, the US FDA must think that a child is going to swallow a Kinder Egg whole, with the hard toy or toy parts still in it. Yeah, right. And the yellow/orange/colored toy holder inside the chocolate too, hmm? Good old US Standards and Practises - meh.
