  1. Canadian Fudge RUUUUUUUUUULES! And thanks for the mammar....er memories of Spaceship Earth.
  2. hey Eric - Thinking of you and wishing you only the best to get thru it all. And it looks like there's a lot of guys here who know a bit (or a lot in some cases) of what's what, etc. So they're all there for you, k? I'm on an anti-depressant, but it's based on something totally different than what you're going thru. Nonetheless, my letting a precription run out and then not getting immediate re-fill caused me a whole week of mentally freaking out and panic attacks one after the other. Suffice to say, I don't let that happen again, lol. You take care of yourself, get help when you think (or KNOW) you need it, and looking forward to chatting you up again soon, okay? Hugs. bill
  3. I find it somewhat amusing they gave me a choice of four (count'em) Vancouvers to choose from .... and then... On the main map there, up above Seattle is the main Large Canadian City of... Surrey??????:shock::shock: With my little single arrow pointing to it. Um, Surrey to us here in Vancouver is like... well, you all have your "suburb" you joke about? i.e. crime, nothingness, (some)white trash, mall living, just far enough away from... "Surrey - Canada's Third Largest City" (yeah, shure) ~ ~ ~
  4. I always thought this would be a nice actual theme park name, should some enterprising company decide to FINALLY create and build one up thisaways... The Great Northwest (TGN)
  5. Got home this morning --- and there 'it' was, in it's puffy mailer envelope. Hmmm. Is it? It is! AND IT FITS!!! Thanks guys. I practically need it now, the way the local weather's been pissin'down around here, while I was away. .. And today. And tomorrow. Definitely needed now. Woo HOO!
  6. With all things in consideration... ...it's great to be back home.
  7. Five,uh Six Flags Over um yeah Amsterdam ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
  8. Okay - the Dungoen has been visited and the Demon Drop has been ... well, dropped! More news on this when I get back from Amsterdam on Thusday, but in the mean time a look back at the old work pix gives me (and you) a better idea of what's there... and not. Soon, soon.
  9. I believe this is the coaster I experienced in the Amsterdam Dungeon attraction, this past Monday. I will go into it's workings more on my Am'dam TR when I return home. But the above certainly best describes what I was on - in a former church no less! This may have been Mack's first "small trial version" of such a coaster design in an operating attraction.
  10. And THIS is my Post #501 Isn't that amazing? And if you go back thru old posted pix on www.wdwmagic.com you get to see all the amazing framework and tracking they started with and built up, layer upon layer. I said it before, and I'll say it again - this is Big Thunder Mountain on Steroids! And the dear old Matterhorn was Papa, remember? In a good coaster, way, LOLOL!
  11. I will definitely be going to visit The Amsterdam Dungeon on Halloween Day. Hee hee hee. Yeah..... Boo.
  12. Hey Wally - Hope you finger heals up okay. And that you can have it working again soon with the rest of your hand. (from here in Amsterdam, where *BEER*inhale*RULES*exhale*) Hang in there guy.
  13. I absolutely F---ING HATE trying to instantly 'climatize' when one gets to one's travel destination. (I'm in Amsterdam now, from Vancouver, Canada) It's awful, I hate it, it makes me feel embarassed and ... icky. Wah.
  14. ^ I will do my best, Soren. Plan to post in a separate thread, of course. ^ We are in a nice streak of 21'+ weather here in Am'dam. So of course, my system reacts -- and I sweated a bit, hee hee. Think I've climatized now. I hope. We all hope, lol. This is my first big out-of-the-country on-my-own trip since.... 1997? Yeah, yeah, tell me. Anyway, things have and haven't been going as well as I would hope they did/didn't. That said, am going to get a few pix of the Instant Carnival that wedged itself literally into a Main Plaza here, complete with a HUGE omg ferris wheel, couple of flats and The Ghoster Coasterrrrrrr. Patience, mere mortals. The time will approach, all things Evil And all. Remember, Monday is Halloween. Boo.
  15. Well now it's Thursday here in Am'dam. I found the Amsterdam Dungeon, walked around the entire block of it. Looks impressively deceptive. If there's a coaster in that thing - no sign of it. I found that the price changed - from 14.50 Euros which I guess is their online pre-order ticket price --- to 17.50 Euros. Ah well, only live once, yes, hmm? And it's got a coaster in it, etc. etc. Hmmm. I'm going to wait until beginning of next week, to go into it. ~~~
  16. Report from Amsterdam today - I just found out where Dungeons of Amsterdam is located in this city of sex, (inhale) sex, (exhale)and .... well, you know....um, yeah? Am going to take it in on (my) Friday, as i just checked out where I could find it, etc. Add to that a Carnival that's currently set up in on eof the main plazas off Damrak (main Am'dam street), which includes a "Ghoster Coaster." Hmmm. Will try that out on Friday as well as DofA. And take a few pix as well.
  17. Hello from Amsterdam - I have never ridden a floorless coaster of any kind in my (current) life, so I am looking forward to what ever the UK Tour offers in such an array as non-floored rides can only give. Un-floored oi!
  18. ^^^ Too busy looking for more hair in his package.... Great TR start-up, Robb. Looking forwrad to the rest of it all, when you get your rest back, after the trip, hah hah.
  19. When they say, "Two out of three _________ highly recommend _________" in a commerical... What did the third one actually say???
  20. hey kiddo - take care of yourself - and watch out for "flying objects" lol.
  21. Great TR vid Don. Excellent timing and fun with all your 'talent' assembled there. I still wish I'd gone there (when I could)in 2000. Would only need, what? Just 45 minutes? Kewl!
  22. Waterloo ABBA 8)
  23. Wow How depressing - seeing a Starbucks logo sign in between the main sign's support columns. Nice little TR, WN. I remember my visits later on, when they had the Black Box attraction, within the museum. Was pretty cool for it's time. Pre-theme park haunts, too, hmm? Must dig out my stuff from 1963 - the flyer, etc. Thanks for the memories. (***I also thought, that this thread should be in the "other forum" postings, hmmm? Hey, early days of theme parks and 'roadside attractions,' yes?)
  24. Um, there's a thread already on this topic in the Ask Alvey Forums... http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19490&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight= Thought you should know.
  25. Hmmm - don't see any Boob or DogFart Candy, tho..... (Edit: And on closer inspection, at least now I know what NOT to send in trade for that candy-trading thread? You got Twix, huh? Darnit.)
