Final Destination 3
Nrthwnd replied to KrakenKing's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
And this movie - like the first two - was filmed in Vancouver, Canada. Home of "Smallville," too. And "Stargate". I think this coaster and our wooden coaster here, are two of the most-filmed coasters I've ever seen, in terms of tv movies and big screeners. Especially our wooden one. IMhO. -
T Shirt i had airbrushed
Nrthwnd replied to calcajun's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Amazing when someone wants to do a 'Reality Check' on a t-shirt design. Very nicely done, BTW. Definitely nice looking on a grey background. I like it. -

Amazing TR you guys!!! Wow. I was totally 'there' with you on it all, the way you described it, and photoged it. Excellent trip report. One of the best I have seen here, no shite. Take a bow you two. And Leanne, I'm a pin trader, too! Have several groupings of pins on their individual, themed lanyards. Faves are Scary Teddy from NBC/HMH, Triton from Littlest Mermaid. And the one and only true evil faerie, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty. ~ ~ ~ ~ -
^ Um, Stitch? Shouldn't mousie be sitting on the spring, 'stead of going for the cheese? Waitin' fer another mousie, for the "launch?" I know, I know, it's a boring old 'continuity' thing. But hey - that's me!

Happy Upcoming Anniversary, Robb and Elissa!
Nrthwnd replied to FlyingScooter's topic in Random, Random, Random
When exactly IS "The Day In question..."? Curious stalkers want to know, LOL. (P.S. You take US money orders, Elissa? ) -
My computer got 'upgraded' late last night. And I am still not too sure what exactlly was done here. But hey - it's on, it works, and I's a happy bear. Ah, putting trust in your other half...

^ Agreed with Wes. If you look at earlier pix of the construction of the framework, etc., it's truly amazing how well they're put the forced perspective to use, with this particular attraction. And it's true, the mountain is actually, probably the same height as ToT over at the Studios there. That had to be designed and built the same way as well, for the 'effect of height' w/o being as high as you think it is, lol. If you really look at that lift hill and where it disappears into the mountain, the perspective is wild. You should definitely go to www.wdwmagic.com to see early construc pix. Amazing, esp.before the landscaping was started, too. (and this'un was Post #555! )

What, you don't appreciate a FLASH of leg now and then? Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Thought I'd post my newest pic of myself here - from my Amsterdam trip, taken on Halloween Day over there. In my new Amsterdam Dungeon t-shirt! Definitely one of the best things about the attraction, lol. The t-shirt I mean. :? On October 31st in Amsterdam, wearing my brand-newly-bought Amsterdam Dungeon, "Drop Ride to Doom" REAPER T-shirt! (whew)

^ Thanks for the comments, and for remembering... Yeah, I did okay I guess, on my own, there. I think it also helped that I had been to Am'dam twice before, and last year had stayed at the same hotel, so it was just a matter of getting the right flight, saving up for spending $. And after I touched down at Schipold (sp?) airport, the rest fell into place, easy. But no, that was a total fluke in paying all that $ for the Dungeon stuff. I think because it was the only attraction I was going to go to, during the entire trip? I guess I just got what I would usually "spread out" over a more varied trip, such as the UK one next year. But - you never know, hmm? There's at least one coffee mug in my future from that tour, and one t-shirt other than the tour shirt, LOL. And the other stuff will be..... well, let's wait and see on that, shall we?

Just came home from seeing CHICKEN LITTLE this afternoon. Was fun, we enjoyed it. Fast-paced at times, some dialogue was hokey, but I laughed in a few spots that us adults in the crowd "got" more, than I'm sure the kids got, who were there. And it's all about parents and kids and understanding each other, sniff sniff. Has some great animation effects, we felt. Hey - go spend the bucks and see it on a big screen. 'Less you got one at home, lol.

^ That's okay, TM. Sometimes we feel like the "little brother" that keeps kicking Big Brother's shins from time to time.

WDW Trip report 24 October - 6 November

^ Wow. So sorry to hear about the lost luggage Don't give up hope. It's got to be somewhere, right? I lost a bag at Heathrow airport (London UK) 20+years ago and it took them two f-ing days to find it. But, they did find it. And they delivered it to where I was staying, thank the Travelling Gods. ~ Now thinking good luggage-finding thoughts for Ghost and family ~ -
^^ Raining here in Western Canada too, just in case you think of an 'alternative country' to move to...

Part Five - The End of It All After Halloween and the Am'dam Dungeon visit, the weather appeared to 'clean itself up' and cool down to a more comfortable temp. I stuck close to the hotel (and my ^ sucky room, lol), found a couple of nice places to eat w/reasonable prices (NOT an easy thing to find here), and got out for a couple more days of walking around, taking in the new time period (yes, they set their clocks back too) and fall weather fast approaching there. I will be back. I will re-visit The Dungeon and see what's new there. And for the sake of Phishybrewer, I will continue the quest for "something that's green". Next year... And if anybody here wonders how you find Amsterdam's "working girls" - it's all in the lighting. RED lighting. 'Nite girls. See ya next year... (o: The night (Nov.02) before leaving for home. The church always looked beautiful at night, out my window. This was actually taken after I got back from The Dungeon, but I thought it'd be a better part of the end of my TR here. In my new Demon Drop t-shirt, too. Enjoying my 'sucky room' for a few more days. um, The Fifth gate at WDW? (wink) Actually, just by the church and the boobyart. Booby-art. Set into the cobblestone pathway around Oude Kerk, the old church. And "locked down" as we can see, lol. Lest sombody try to steal a booby or two. "And now for something completely different..." (o: This one's for you, Robb. Decisons, decisions. Which style and color to choose?... (This was on the way back from the monument.) This is the Homomonument, built in the mid-90s, to commemorate those gays who were also 'eliminated' during the Nazis reign of terror. It's actually one of three triangles here - the other two are up past the taxis and form another "triangle" with this One of several 'art pieces' found here and there thru-out the city. I liked this one. Not sure why. Art is in the eye of... There were always groups of people, wandering thru the District - and I started wondering what a group of 50 would look like (i.e the # on the UK Tour in June?). This is the best I found, and then, my eyes (and the camera) started fuzzy-ing up at the pros
