  1. A friend of ours, who lives in the Okanagan Valley (read:orchards) dropped by as part of a weekend visit to town - and brought us STUFF! Full pail of honey. Two types of homemade salsa. And canned peaches, crabapples, and Big Apricots! And a bowlful of 'various apples' he told us, can't remember the types of... So nice to have such bountiful and giving friends, y'know? And free food is always a wonderful surprise - healthy too, usually.
  2. Persnickity. Tizzie. Kafuffle. Roustabout. Vehicular.
  3. I counted one more coaster in my coaster count, than I should have. And I knew I did, too. But I have since repented, and removed the offending #.
  4. Great interview Erin, Kate, Elissa! And yes, I too enjoy that new 'TPR glossary" that's starting to creep out... Prostitots - "a child used soley to ride a kiddies' coaster for an adult credit." ~ ~ ~ The mind boggles. Good podcast, ladies. Free TPR leopard print g-strings for you!
  5. Good you enjoyed the RnR in WDW. NOW, you have to beg and plead and drive your parents NUTs, so you can try out the RnR in DLP Studios! Then you can make a real good comparison of the two, huh? Only right, hmm?
  6. Ooh oooh - DVD#6 Day - ooh ooh - Go, Robb, Go! V That's ok Robb. These things do take time. NO THEY DON'T. Deliver NOW!
  7. I would think, "that crazy old U.S. of A." Then you'd all have to start discovering the Wonderful WORLD of Coasters everywhere but.... hmmm? 8)
  8. Cute. Misleading, but cute. Loved it.
  9. Helllllllllllllp I'm alone in a chat room. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ I'm out now. Hmmmm
  10. Well it seems that we're all a pretty varied and equally many-numbered group, huh? Great! So many coasters - and the time? Whatever. 8)
  11. You notice, that most of those being mentioned "in passing thought," are mostly steelies? Hmmm. Just an observe.
  12. wow that is a lot to choose from that said - you got any faves there c1 ?
  13. Zambeezi Zinger @ WOF (Actually that's again - rode it in '95 before dismantled)
  14. Another question - I'm honestly not informed with this, so do you order the same size as a t-shirt? Or one size larger? I.E. my t-shirt is Large, therefore I order an XLarge hoodie? Or same size as...? Thanks for letting me know.
  15. Moronic, unthinking men and women who drop their garbage around the streets in my neighborhood. Why-oh-why-oh-why do they do what they do? I don't do it, and I Don't Do it, k? I believe in putting garbage in containers, and will save a wrapper until I find the place to put it - especially in parks, and that's only fair since a lot of the time, they do take the time to make sure the place is clean. Anyway - grrrrrrrrrr.
  16. Datman, here's what you can do to get your parents to take you to UK parks again. Tell your mom about all the landscapeing that they do at some of these parks in England. The British are known for some pretty hardy, and beautiful gardens in their country, and some of their theme parks are no exception, i.e. Alton Towers. And tell your dad about some of the great historical buildings that are nearby, on some of the park's grounds. Hmmm? Dads like historic stuff, sometimes that they can actually go up to and touch. Castles and old homesteads, etc. Cool buildings like those at ... Alton Towers! See? And while you're sometimes going crazy with all the coasters, they can do with you (give and take, ok?) some touring of the grounds and buildings. Hey, actual history isn't that bad, when it's got coasters so close to it, hmm?
  17. Coasters4ever don't feel like you haven't accomplished something. You have! You've been on more coasters at your age, than I did when I was your age. And now? I'm at at 'pitiful' number of something between 87 and 88 coasters. (Actually, any number is a good number, ok? Anything above 0, right!) And that's since my first coaster, well over 40 years ago. Thankfully, this upcoming UK tour will help me cross into the "100 Club" (hee hee) and more importantly, get me back into enjoying what I know I did enjoy, at your age. With a lot of nice people helping me enjoy it all, too. Yes!!! So don't worry about what your 'number' is right now. Just keep track, and by the time you're say, sixteen? You'll have been on more. No doubt about it. Peace all. bill
  18. Kristi and Gregg, your family, and everybody in that area take care of yourself. Up here in BC, we know all too well about forest and brush fires, etc. Our thoughts and good wishes are with you all, in the coming days. bill/Nrthwnd (Addendum-dum - Wish we could send you the TON of rainwater that's fallen and {currently} falling on us, here in Vancouver. Darned mom nature. )
  19. Just read the first posting by Lost Boy, and I eagerly wanted to tell him WELCOME TO TPR!!! As somebody who has better first-hand knowledge on Disneyland than most of us around here - that's great! My first-ever visit was in 1963, but this is wonderful that somebody is able to share stuff that's gone on thru-out the park's entire history. I hope you WILL share more with us in the future, too. I feel inspired, thru your great posting (DL's 50th Celebration - Who's Gone To It?) to keep on with life, and all the (literal) ups'n'downs that come with it. Simple. Great to have you as part of this bizarrely unique and talented community'
  20. Great, Phishy! I remember my first times on such a ride - and how freaky it was waiting for the 'floor' to drop, lol. Sorry I missed out on DD. RIP.
  21. ^That would be a novel (and postive) approach, hmm?
  22. Judging by your question - are you expecting to take more than one girl to Homecoming???
