New Photo Update: Knott's Scary Farm!
Nrthwnd replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Great TR - so was it TGIF Jack Daniel's or Knott's Chicken, HMMM? And where the heck was Joey, anyway? Or is this an instant "Find Joseph" kind of game? You people have way too much fun for your own good. -
^ LMAO at your reaction, Elissa! "I mean, duuuuude!" *And just to make sure, that isn't a 'pipe' in your right hand, right? Riiiiiight. ~ ~ ~ ~ Ah sweet beignet memorees of Cafe'Du Monde. We bought a box of the beignet mix to bring back with us, then couldn't get those ^$%#@%&* things to puff up in the oil, if our lives depended on it, LOL. Great fun. And powdered sugar, too! Yum. See - Dan - wheez.

New Photo Update!!! Orlando 2005!

Looks like you've discovered a new meal sensation... "Powdered Toast with - The Beverly" Oooo yum. Good TR R&E. ~ ~ ~ ~ -
Saw "Wallace & Gromit" this afternoon. (where my avatar comes from!) We giggled in some parts. Most parts. Loved the open shots with stuff happening all in a scene with other characters involved. Amazing, considering how long it took to make the movie this way (over three years for this film to be created). We enjoyed it a lot. Certainly a break from HUGE monster action or special effects productions. And Ms.Tim Burton (Helena B.Carter) is definitely having great fun with her part - a possible 'love interest' for Wallace??? Hmmm. Some of it is "veddy English" and will fly by you very fast, before you 'get it.' But there is lots in it, for all the mature audiences out there, k? Mmmmmmmcarrotsssssssmmmmm.

So it's the off-season, now what?
Nrthwnd replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think that anything you guys do in the way of posting photos and/or videos is a great way to spend indoor non-theme park time (for those who can? ....hey BarryH. ) But - space the postings out peeps - we got a long several months of winter and early spring to get thru. So take your time putting stuff together, and enjoy putting your stuff together, too. Looking forward to any and all things theme parks, coasters and...stuff. -
VIDEO: Cedar Point/Put-In-Bay Weekend

Very good TR, Phish. Too bad the last 'scene' didn't have the skeletons collapsing all-of-a-sudden - or maybe they needed to be blow up, real good there. Yeah! That stall and fall back in the Dragster test almost made me think - hmmm, maybe not go on one of those. Lolol. Wild. -
You mean, you didn't notice it, before now? Man, the rest of of us have just been avoiding 'it'. (love ya All... and Hellooo Kitty)

Photo TR - Julie and Kevin tackle SFoG! 10/9
Nrthwnd replied to USRoadTripper's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
That's great that you got a pic of some helpful employees at the park. I like that, when people are appreciated for going the extra mile (oh, how cliche') in being helpful, for your visit there. And might as well ask now - having never had 'them'... what ARE dipping dots Everybody takes theme park food for granted here, which is great (go Turkey Legs) but a few times I've seen things, like the dots and wonder, what exactly they are? Inquiring old minds want to know for future pop quizzes. Great TR Julie w/Kevin. -

" 4. brown stuff" ??? Ah well, all's well in a good Poop TR, Julie! (and props to Kevin for modelling, when needed, lol) -
And now it's (ahem) Hump Day in this week... Did my every-other-week raking up of the leaves. Good feeling when it's done and bagged. A bit of exercise in some fresh autumn air. I am happy to be where this weather does cool down, and rain, but not storm or hurricane/typhoon/flood where we are in the city. Fall weather is great here. C'mon up (or over) and try it some time.

That's what I was getting too! ^ Then I checked, and my post still got posted. Only once, tho, not two times like most others did. Now, with mine at least, it doesn't seem to be doing that anymore.

Stay calm. Breathe. Compose yourself. You want the job, so you know what to do, and what to say. Break A Leg! (showbiz)

It looks like the server system with TPR is settling down. Amusing to note all the double posts all over the place, 'cause everybody thought what I thought when I first posted earlier - error. But, it posted nonetheless. I found out, too. Thanks for working it out, Robb & Elissa.

I just got a error thing when I posted in another thread. But the post still showed up. Hmmm. Crazy old computers, lol. May happen with this one, too, but that's ok. Progress..... ( Nope - didn't. Yay TPR!!! )

Retro Photo TR: Orlando's Splendid China Aug 1996
Nrthwnd replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Miniatures attractions are always cool to check out. There's a permanent indoor display over on Vancouver Island I should remember to check out. I think it even has a (gasp) mini-MIDWAY display that actually work. Thanks for the Retro-TR, Erik! -
Discovery Channel Show - UPDATE!!!
Nrthwnd replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ From all of the above^ Maybe you guys living close to R&E could plan a Discovery Coaster Night, once they let you know when the show is to be aired? Hopefully, with time to plan, etc. That way, a few of you locals (hi socalMAN123!) w/o cable can get a look-see, hmmm? And of course, excellent reason for a par-tay with Dueling Drumming Contests! That suggested, I also hope somebody in the states will tape and or DVD the special, as we in Canada don't see it at the same time/date as you will. And when it finally is aired up here, it's usually not advertised at all, so I continually miss out on some of the coaster specials that do air on DiscoveryCanada. -
Can of Bud Light. Hey, there were two cans of BL left over from a party we had. Couldn't just chuck'em.

^ Just the single at this time - I know that the multi's have the full-out attraction timings. But still, it's a bit of a lift from their own previously recorded telecasts, just for this single CD I know. Not exactly back to original material. Will probably have the multi - as well as the 2-CD set int he future LOL.
