  1. And I could be one of the long lost "twin cousins" who was drop-kicked up into the f-f-f-f-Frozen North and has since been wandering aimlessly in Western Canada, looking for his twinBro who is equally aimlessly wandering in Eastern Canada -- --- you see their dilemna? Bill "where the heck is O-taw-wa"? Alvey (EDIT: )
  2. I honestly really REALLY think that it would be BEYOND....BELIEF.... if Robb and/or Elissa actually didn't have a cam in any form with them on this new journey - for themselves, as much as those of us who are "coming along for the ride," heh heh. I haven't gotten myself any type of digi-cam yet - and even tho I still might get one before the trip starts in June, there's a good possibility I may just drag along my old film-type-canister camera for some good still shots. I could post them later on the site, once I get the rolls of film back to my local place for processing and Puttin'On Da Disk.... That said, I am quite sure that 97.3% (just a guess, mind) of everybody going on this adventure, will have a camera or movie-making-machine of some type/kind along for the trip --- --- and it will be a MASSIVE COLLECTIVE DOCU-REALITY-TOUR vid/film/other that nobody will believe... including us who are going! Stay tuned, for further developments, "as they happen..."
  3. Me marvelling at the difference between Swedish Kronors and Norwegian Kroners.... I think. Just got my $$$ for the 'Scandia add-on' part of the UK TPR Tour in June. Wow, that's a LOT of currency for a few measly Canuck Buck$sss... (o:
  4. Mmmmm. The sun is out this week. Spring has never started better here. I won $21 from a couple of lottery tickets, then 'scratched' myself another (!) $20 in a couple of instant tix... I picked up my new $$ from Norway/Sweden for the add-on part of the UK June trip... And - it actually looks AND FEELS like there's a weeeee bit'o progress in the Weight Loss Dept.!! Yes indeedy. Only a couple of pounds difference in the readings from today and last Tuesday, but..... think the exerbike's actually going to work here... The UK Trip will certainly help too, heh heh. Not bad - not bad at all this week, so far.
  5. Just watched BIOGRAPHY.... ...on John Wayne Gacy. Scary and tragic.
  6. Um, hardshell or softshell tacos? (Actually, I lean towards them rolly burrito thingies.....mmmm yum.)
  7. ^ I was going to say that abouit DejaVu! Anyway - thanks for the "freshly rinsed tour" of The Mountain, lol. Looking at your wet pix, will help me get ready for some (eventual) wet days we'll get up here during Playland's regular season. Worth taking a chance for a wet coaster ride, huh? ~ ~ ~ ~ (EDIT: ^^ nippley out???)
  8. Wow! That was great! I really enjoyed that, my first-ever 'tour', heh heh. I have known about the original Hershey's Tour since it began in the early 70's(?), and altho there seems to be changes made since it began, it is nice to finally see what the tour was all about.... Thanks for sharing your 'Tour'....
  9. What - It make the subject there look..... well, mmm'k... OR - it makes the one taking the pic too wrecked to f-o-c-u-ssssssss?
  10. And - she's going to take on Joy, too! Eee hah! Cannot wait for that kitty scrap.
  11. Those are the two I immediately thought of - and I have never been to either! Still... Just from past memory of publicity, histories of the parks, etc. etc. What I have read thru the years, and seen on TV and on vids... Either KW or HW would be high up there in the "Much Improved List" for my $$$.
  12. Woo hoo. No doubt, not my side of the country. Go, Madge, Go..... (I really would like to have seen The Material Gurl/Mum at least once, in a concert. Ah well.... next incarnation. Hope it's a great one, guys.)
  13. That sounds kinda.... suspicious.
  14. I've been riding this friggin exer-bike for almost 3 weeks now. As of tomorrow morning, if I don't show that there's a drop of at least 5 lb. I shall wig out and kill the scale!!! Not that I should be weighing myself every day - but I did, bite me - and I did cut down a LOT of my snacks (i.e practically none, now) and and of my regular eating, AND I am drinking a lot more water daily, too.... and the numbers hardly budge. Grrr. But now I go (my bad) and buy a brand-new scale with tinier numbering in it's "wheel" - and it puts a few pounds back on to what I thought I lost! (omg) ( TILL TOMORROW...)
  15. On Wednesday of this week, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 AM, the time and date will be 01:02:03 04/05/06 That won't ever happen again in our lifetime. ( until 2106 ) You may now return to your normal life. ~ ~ ~ ~
  16. Mmmmmmm. Crush Turtle Twister Track Goodness. Thanks for posting a pic of the first pieces of track arriving there.
  17. All your family looks great, nic! And Daisy looks like the charmer, fer shure.
  18. Yes! Do you watch television news for the next day's weather?
  19. "When the sun comes up, I have morals again." - Elayne Boosler -
  20. hey Erik - Hope you're enjoying a happy Sunday and having a grrreat birthday too! Wait a sec! - Hmmm. Turned 33 huh? Hmmm.... Eh. I'll leave it at that, lol. One candle for each (ahem) 11 years, heh heh. ~ ~ ~ ~ (EDIT: Wanted to ALSO add, that I hope you have a video-filled year of new and interesting POVs, and unexpected/happily surprising "stuff on cam" that you edit and put to music, in your most excellent style! )
  21. The RCDB pix look great of this coaster! This one and it's location looks like "the days of long ago" when mom and pop park operations were plentiful in the States and Canada, with a roller coaster popping up in the most unlikely rural places... or with a boat ride to get to, lol. I mean, there were something like a few thousand or so coasters "back in the days"...? Yes? No? Hope you get the info. you're looking for. I would certainly make the trek to it, if I only lived somewhat closer, heh heh. (Taking a boat to Nova Scotia is a bit "lengthy," time-wise from over this-a-ways, lol....)
  22. Believe it or not - this looks exactly like what Exp:Everest is having to go thru before the attraction really looks 'set' in it's themeing.... ...letting all the landscaping grow in, lol. I hope that most of everybody who takes in this interesting ride (it looks great, from what I've seen in your pix - and the testing vid here 'somewhere'...) will go back to it, a year later perhaps? Will be great, then, to see how much enhanced and 'foliaged,' everything will look around 'Survivor:The Ride' by then. Thanks for sharing the great pix. ~ ~ ~ And yeah, I agree with Wally... what's usually great effects at the beginning of an attraction's existence (I read somewhere here, that DarkKastle is possibly going to alter their 'pre-show' stuff too..), seems to go thru a "downsizing" with them, once it's up and running.
  23. Big BIG cover section article (in our Sunday paper today) on our beloved near-50 year old Coaster, being renovated up, cleaned up and retrofitted with some $200,000+ worth of wood and stuff for the Season Opening on Easter Friday! Wow. Apparently, at the time it weas built in 1958, that's what Coaster cost in total...$200,000 Cdn. Times (& costs) sure ch-ch-change, huh? Great article with entire background of Coaster's history, and of the two guys currently running the "fresh up' operation, lol. Can't wait for April 14th....
  24. Once s-e-x is taken out of the "Equation of Love"..... I find it remarkably interesting that a lot of people DON'T take into consideration a lot of other things that DO make up a loving relationship. Open, closed or....? I mean, is sex really The Defining Feature that puts all the other elements into second place....and below? ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ I am not posting to chat about my sexual lifestyle. It's none of anybody's business, as I expect everbody's sexual history isn't my business either. The chat was about promiscuity (sp?) and drifted into lifestyle, not orientation. And I agreed with another poster. And added some more. And so the thread got a bit um, unraveled, heh heh.
  25. ^ They're going to start Daylight Savings 3 weeks earlier in March, and then 1 week later in November. Meaning, extending longer days for one whole month. Canada's having to do it too, cause y'know, trade and all.....
