Wellllll - to throw my three cents in here.... Maybe we'll see you, coastercub, at one of the parks the TPR Tour will be hitting in June? Considering I seem to be the only one (gay or non-) with a beard on this tour... well, it would be nice to meet up with other coaster bears & cubs along the way. I'm sure Elissa will (eventually) post a parks itinerary once the final stuff has been... uh.... finalized, lol. ~ ~ ~ And 'other than the above' - given my druthers, I'd druther NOT choose an "alternate orientation" from what I am now. For good and/or bad, it's been The Experience of My Life, heh heh.

Cleaning a backyard pond SUCKS Big Time.... And then one end of the 'feed hose' from the pump to the top of the waterfall broke! Giving me less a 1/2 foot to use of it. Arrrrrrrrg. Hmmmmph. Well, I got it figured out, but it still sucked, and was mucky and icky and did I say mucky? Grrrrrr. Unhappy bear.

I think that for myself, knowing about all the parks and coasters I've never been on before... It's all down to three things: 1) The tour itself - I mean, having done quite a few U.S. conference tours, with a minimum of (usually) 4 busses used.... This will be one of The Best Things about this tour. One - bus - only. No waiting. 2)Blackpool. I've known about it for years and years. No matter how it looks and is running nowadays, it's one of the great parks, known world-wide. 3) Oblivion. The world's first dive coaster. I will truly cry BUCKETS if it's closed down the day we're there, lol. Followed it from concept to mystery rumors at the time of building (i.e. What IS it that's being built there?) to it's eventual opening.

~ ~ ~ I have a HUGE collection of original New York Broadway Cast Albums in LP form. I think it's nearly 400 records! That said, we have a combo record player (in 33 1/3 AND 45 rpm, speeds!) and radio, so I'll probably hold onto everything till I absolutely have to part with it all..... Not everything is in CD form nowadays, heh heh.

I think it's too soon. But that's just me, removed as I am from it all. From a distance, I still have the visual memory of the planes hitting the towers. 'Nuff said, hmm? More time needed to heal, as far as I'm concerned. IMhO

The whole themeing layout of this coaster is looking far and away one of The Best Themed steel monsters I've ever seen... and the landscaping isn't even in, yet! Wow. Well... I guess I'll have to wait for the "TPR Euro-Tour" for this one, lol. (Thanks for sharing the great construction pix here, everybody.)

Oh noooooo. Sorry to hear that a couple of peeps may not be able to make the tour now. That's sad to happen, when it's getting so close now. Shoot. Well, things happen like that, I know. Been in that situation, myself. Hope that the couple of spots (soon) available, get filled soon, Elissa & Robb.

^ Hey - DL was the first theme park to have it's Happiest First Day, declared as Black Sunday...or whatever day that was. Fountains not working, or not enough. Still warm asphalt with women's high heels sloooowly sinnnnnking into the siiiiiidewalkssssss. Rides breaking down. Counterfiet Opening Day Tickets numbering something like....10,000? Whatever day we've all every had - I'm sure it don't (not even mine there) compare to what poor Walt and his company went thru "that day."

Two TPR Japan....trips? (EDIT: Methinks you are starting to let the proverbial kitty out of it's paper container, hmmm?)

Sorry to hear about your family loss. The good memories help the healing along. She looked like a very sweet dog. Our last family dog was a corgi-cross, and he was a wonderful companion for my mom. Excellent personality and very in tune with the feelings of those he loved and lived with. Hope the pain subsides, and the happiness remains.
