  1. Amazing. I love seeing it all in the forest. Must be awesome. And I would go to it for just the Mystery Hotel (Mini-ToT, lol) and that adult-sized WHIP! It's been so long... Thankyou for sharing your visit to this fair.
  2. Am BUMPing this one, because I just realized I still love these kinds of attractions, now more than ever, after now having ridden the two first trackless I knew of (back when I started this thread in 2005) - Aquatopia in TDS and Pooh's Hunny Hunt in TDL. Now, WDS in Paris is coming up with a trackless ride based on the successful "Ratatouille" Pixar-Disney movie. And supposedly, Hong Kong DL is still going to "go trackless" when their new Mystic Manor opens in the next year or so, budget permitting. And then there is whatever (I hope) Disney is going to come up with in Shanghai... mmmm. And now of course, other ride companies are coming up with trackless ride tech, like Disney. But after going over the first pages here, I definitely want to stress, if the ride vehicle doesn't do a 360' spin in some way or fashion, it isn't trackless, IMhO. The rides at TDLR proved that. And "Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin" doesn't count, either, LOL! Anyone else want to share their "Trackless Vehicle Love" here? The second one Disney created: Aquatopia! (Sept.4, 2001) Silly and funny. Even better at night with all the lighting. Pooh's Hunny Hunt came first (Sept.4, 2000). Silly old bear. Great silly old ride, too!
  3. Don't have A List. And no coasters anticipated, yet. But, for a ride I definitely want to ride at least once in my life is... Ratatouille (eventually-to-open) at Walt Disney Studios,Paris. It's (so far) always been my fave Pixar-Disney movie and the (hopeful, still) fact that the ride will again use the incredible awesomeness of "trackless vehicles" tech. (see: Aquatopia/TDS; Pooh's Hunny Hunt/TDL) In fact - I think I want to find and enjoy as many Trackless Vehicle Rides as I can, while I can, as the old body allows, lol. So, hopefully, the Rat at WDS, and Mystic Manor at HKDL I will eventually get to enjoy - and then, whatever new trackless magic they'll come up with, in Shanghai.... mmmmm. And then, there's other companies (like Sally Corp.) who do trackless vehicle rides now. Got to find all of them, heh heh. (And as a random sidebar - could you imagine Disney coming up with a trackless vehicle ride in one of those two huge circus tents in WDW/MK's new Circus Land? That would be crazy and awesome sweet!)
  4. ^ How exciting, EB! Is the production in Dutch or in English language? Or is it the London production you're seeing? I am curious, because I have now heard some of "Wicked" in two other languages (German and Japanese, off the 5th Anny 2-cd set!). It's fun to listen to them, even though I don't understand the language, but I do know the lyrics from the original show practically by heart, heh heh. And we loved the tour (english) that came through here, just before I went on the TPR Japan trip, this past summer. Hope you do, too! Enjoy the show! Here's the 2 cds' cover of the 5th Ann. of the show, with tracks from the Germany and Japan productions. Very cool stuff.
  5. I miss Toverland. All those neat rides and of course..... TROY! The Halloween setup/lighting looks great, there. Thanks for sharing your visit.
  6. Boo Time here, is over now.
  7. What are we looking at, again? Boo. {I see! I see! And it's Alive! It's ALIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!}
  8. ^ Sadly, the spinning coaster (yellow track) wasn't in operation for us on our visit there. They really tried to "get it going" for us, but it never happened. Oh well, another visit I guess, lol.
  9. Just found out (through Screamscape and UK press) that the park's Canada Creek Railway is closing for good after November 6th. I liked that little train ride, esp. when it used to go to that family petting farm, and then back and around the flume ride before it reached the station.

  11. cough. sniffle. ack. sniffle.
  12. Re-roofing of the house nearly finished. Tomorrow. And the chimney over our furnace flue will get attention and maintenance, too. And the good cool fall weather is holding up for it all to be done, too. Yes! And after this is done - and Halloween goes by - we go to our SPCA and (hopefully) find/adopt ourselves a new cat.
  13. I am curious. How was that machine-made/ordered pizza? I like wierd cooking machines like that, at parks. Found a few on the Japan tour back in the summer.
  14. Hot weather in Winnipeg today.
  15. "Part of Your World" (The Little Mermaid) Japanese version - Tokyo Disneyland's PhilharMagic Can't understand the lyrics - but I know the songs - and it's still a great listen.
  16. Well, to finish this TR all up, and to show the fun with friends on tour... Here's my pack of Onride (and offride) Photos from the TPR Japan Tour for 2011. And I am especially proud of the last photo I am posting here - that of Tokyo Disney Sea's Tower of Terror - I was the only non-Japanese person on that ride vehicle, and while waiting in line, made immediate friends with everybody there! And we still couldn't understand each other, LOL! But it was a really happy group, and I loved the final shot, here. So - Big BearHugs and THANKYOU to Elissa and Robb for another incredible awesome tour; Thankyou to my 'roomie' for the tour, Bob. You were great and I hope we get to 'tour' somewhere in the world together again; Thankyou to all of the managements and staff of all the parks, making our tour such a great one; and Thankyou to everybody on this tour, be it old touring friends or new ones met. It was a blast. And - when do we go back to Japan, again? Enjoy the photos and get yourself on a TPR Tour soon! On SpiderMan at Universal Japan. I think none of us except Mike knew where to 'look' for the photo, lol. One of these "OffRide Photos" taken before we rode the new indoor coaster, Space Fantasy, at Universal. That's me, Mike, Bob, Rosie and JC ready to save the universe! (I think) We really REALLY enjoyed this coaster, so much so - got another offride pic (me with JC) before riding it again. (And again and again, and...) Riding Fujiyama in the back seat, at Fuji-Q. Me and JC there. And notice that bizarre lift hill on their new coaster, in back? Next visit.... Another off-ride pic. This photo was actually better to get than the actual on-ride one, heh heh. In the Surf Coaster station at Sea Paradise park. Me, Rosie, and Matt behind us. Quick! Where's Bill??? Tokyo Disney Sea's Tower of Terror, and a great group of co-passengers to enjoy the ride.
  17. Woo hoo! Thanks for advance notice, Elissa!
  18. eh listening to music in back life's okay for now
  19. Knoebels has become legendary to me through-out the decades. Everything I have read about it, seen photos of it..... a great looking/sounding park. Good for them to get back into business so soon! One of these years, I hope....
  20. I always love coming back to Hanayashiki park! Cheesy and (possibly?) Japanese sleezy area (IMhO) it is in, Hanayashiki park is truly one-of-it's-kind (in-city park). Hope you enjoyed the crepe, Larry. They are soooo good, lol. I always find it cool that they can cram so much into that one block or so of space. It's a bit gritty (a bit?), but that is definitely part of the charm of this park. You've shown us a great deal of the whole park there, Larry, thanks! Is it time to go back to Japan?
  21. ^ Yep, sounds like Fuji-Q...
  22. Finishing up here, with what I collected on the Japan tour. This first set would be under the heading of "Collectibles," and I had quite a nice variety, including cds, figures, small cars, unique things like the 3-D puzzle (Nasu Highland) and a nice waterglobe (by way of Luna Park Australia, thankyou Kathryn, Michael & Maria!), etc. The other photos are of the many papers I "collected" while on tour, and of course, those interesting, precious park maps one must always have (IMhO). And a small 'preview' of the Most Important Souvenirs of any tour - Onride Photos! There's a TPR pillow in the middle; TDLR cds below; collectable TDL cars to the right; action figure with your Pepsi!; our little friend from Hightower Hotel (ToT); fridge maget (Cosmoworld; LEGO keychains (Nasu Highland); and a LOT of capsule...stuff, lol! Everything from photocopies of the tour guidebook, to the tour schedule itself, wrappers and a lot more picked up on the way thru Japan. Mmmmm all those park maps. Onride Photos - Group Shot
